Aimee ~ So sorry about your DH's Grandfather.

Sheryl ~ I'm sorry about your accident. Hope your neck feels better soon.

Dinner tonight was grilled burgers, onion rings, corn and cucumber salad.

Yes, I got Janice and Lindsays today too! Very nice; thank you all!

Did anyone get mine or are they going pony express?

I have a splitting headache. I may take a nap which I never do. Thank God I have dinner in the crockpot. If its good I will post the recipe since it was REALLY EASY!

I got yours today!!! Thank you so much!!!

I also got one from Nancy and Janice! You guys made my day!!!

Well, 30 minutes ago (at 10pm) we finally got dinner.

We had planned to go out to dinner - Logans, for a steak. But I forgot that I told my g-uncle he could come over tonight to work through some art he is storing in our spare bedroom. He called at 6pm to make sure he could still come and I of course said yes.

At 10pm, he was still up there. He just left, 5 minutes ago.

At 930 I convinced DH to go get fast food - ANYTHING - because I was hungry!

All that to say - we had fast food tex mex for a place up the street. Tostados, burritos, tacos. Not as good as steak but good.

Sheryl- Oh my goodness, you are not having it easy lately, are you. Forget the shopping, take your pain meds and get some rest. Thank God you are okay.

Kathy- I agree with Lauren- the 'Ohana potatoes would be very nice with your dinner.

I am getting cards fast and furious now! I hope all mine made it.

Dinner tonight was grinders that DH picked up.

I got a lot of cookies made, although not as many as I would have liked. I have no idea why I thought that today would be a good day for Kady to bring her friend home to make gingerbread houses. They really needed to get harnessed in because they had been couped up all day on school. Then my niece delivered the candles we ordered and stayed for coffee. I love her but that was another hour lost to cookies!

Laura- I tried another substitute for egg today and finally I had a winner! I used 1 tablespoon of soy powder and 1 tablespoon of water for each egg and it worked perfectly. I still need to use Crisco for the fat because Kady cannot have margarine either but chocolate chip cookies finally resembled cookies. I also made snicker doodles for her but I'm not sure that that cookie is a good one to use Crisco in. It really needs the butter, but who knows? Kady has not had butter for about 9 months so she may like them.

The Smitten Kittens are coming over tonight. I am making "You Won't Be Single for Long Vodka Cream Pasta," salad and bread. Yum, eh? I will post the recipe if it's good. Robin says it's delish! Afterward we are going to the movies to see "Sweeney Todd." :cheer2:

WFD at your house?

Morning all! Its been crazy around here this week with the electricians and plumbers here. THe bathroom is coming along. Slowly but surely.

Sheryl, your wall looks great! Hope your feeling better. Take pics of the entertainment center too! :yay:

I am going to try ham and scalloped potatoes in the crockpot.

Last nights dinner wasn't that great so I am not even going to post it. I am sure it would be better if I tweaked it but A didn't eat any of it.

Have a great day all!

Morning all! I finally got to sleep in this morning--till all of 7:15! No outside work today, gifts are wrapped, parties are done---what will I do with my free time. Need to bake up some more cookies, I suppose. WFD tonight will be whatever my parents order in, which will more than likely be pizza. We are heading to their house so they can watch the kidlets while DH and I have a "date". Yeah, right, date--we are helping Santa with some last minute items. DD informs me in the line at the grocery store the other day that Santa is bringing her an Aurora Doll--um, yeah, so Santa had NO idea about that one. If I can't find one, she might get an IOU to pick out one in WDW in a few weeks!

Kathy- I agree with Lauren- the 'Ohana potatoes would be very nice with your dinner.

I think I've decided on the 'Ohana potatoes. I haven't gotten your card yet or Lauren's.

We are heading to their house so they can watch the kidlets while DH and I have a "date".
Have fun Santa!!

WFD tonight - Take out omelets - YUMMY!!!!!

Tonight my DH cousin is coming for dinner. We are having apricot chicken, Israeli couscous and a veggie, maybe a salad. We will either have cookies for dessert or I may pick something up at Costco.

I think we'll be eating fast food tonight - we have the viewing from 6-8 in Dallas, so we'll have to leave by 5pm. Probably eat on the way there in the car.

We just happen to pass a Taco Bueno on the way... ;) I could eat that stuff everyday!

Morning Y'all,

I'm not doing too bad this morning. Loopy & don't really care if the shopping gets done or not!:confused3

DH brought home gumbo from his office's Christmas lunch last night. We'll probably eat that again tonight.

Lauren, Here's a link to the ent. center:
http://www.parker-house.com/por_100.html

I'll try to post some pics when it gets here & is all set up.

Everyone be safe driving out there. People will start to get really nutty when the Christmas shopping panic sets in.

Sheryl

Wow I missed a lot yesterday. If I forget someone, please forgive me.

Sheryl - I hope you are feeling better. I am so sorry to hear about your accident and hope everything works out ok with your car.

Aimee - Sorry about your DH's grandfather.

Lindsay - I got your card last night. Thank you.

Nancy - I got your card last night as well. It is beautiful and I really appreciate the note.

Stephanie - Ho. Ho. Ho. Good luck with finding Aurora.

Becky - I hear you on the favoritism thing. Our grandmother was like that. She preferred my aunt's children and it was pretty obvious on Christmas. However, the most glaring example was in her home. My aunt's children's pictures were in her living room, with them ranging in age from about 2 to college. The pictures of my siblings and me were in her spare bedroom and were 10 to 15 years old. :rotfl: :rotfl: We weren't too wild about her either.

Lauren - I haven't received your card yet, but my mail is really really slow.

I managed to ship out the boxes to Lindsay and Sheryl yesterday. They should arrive by FedEx on Monday.

Gotta run!

Today was my last day to Christmas shop without DS, so I hope I have all his stuff done. He and I have to go shopping for DH and the cat tomorrow or Sunday. I wonder which day would be less stressful. :confused3

I agree with Sheryl, everyone be safe out on the roads with all those crazy holiday shoppers.

WFD? Monster Chicken, some kind of pasta, and peas.

Aimee -- I am so sorry for your loss.

Sheryl -- I'm glad to hear you are feeling a little better today. Dealing with an accident is definitely not on anyone's Christmas list! Take it easy.

I tried another substitute for egg today and finally I had a winner!

That's great! I hope she likes them.

DD informs me in the line at the grocery store the other day that Santa is bringing her an Aurora Doll--um, yeah, so Santa had NO idea about that one. If I can't find one, she might get an IOU to pick out one in WDW in a few weeks!

Good luck with your search. Luckily for you, Aurora is everywhere this year, ranging in size from peanut to girl size, so hopefully, you'll find her.

I realized this afternoon that while I was very good about counting under the tree presents, I was not good about stockings to the point that I hardly got anything for Liam's! He has 3 presents and Caili has at least 15. Ugh. I am hitting the stores tomorrow.

As for my cookie baking, I decided to scale back a bit this year because I don't really have a lot of plates to make up, which means most of the cookies are either going to my family's houses or staying at mine. I have three more kinds to make (I've done 4) and then that's it.

Dinner last night was linguine and clams, garlic bread and salad. Tonight I am making cheese soup...but I have to get off the DIS first!

I think I am done with christmas shopping for expect for 2 things and I know exactly what I what and where to go. I went for power shopping after work since I had nothing for Alex's stocking :confused3 or anything from Santa. I decided that having Santa give him socks or underwear was just plain weird. So the kid gets more pokemon cards from Santa.:santa:

Tonight we are having sloppy joes, corn and salad. I am beat so maybe an early night for me.

Sheryl I hope you are doing better today. Loopy is my middle name. ;)

Aimee  I hope you got your Taco Bueno

Did everyone get my cards??? I didn't leave anyone out. Just checking, all were mailed well over a week ago.:goodvibes
