Well, dinner here will not be too glamorous! DH is a photographer for our local television station, and he was sent to San Antonio to film the Utah Jazz in the next round of playoffs. With DH gone, I know the kids just won't eat what I had planned, so I think we'll head to KFC after church. I know, it's a cop out, but at least I won't have to listen to them whine!

What an exciting job your DH has! I remember watching the Jazz play down here when I was younger with my Dad!:cloud9:

Well finally I get a moment to stop and post!! Hello and good afternoon WFD friends!!
I went to post when I had a moment last night, but of course that was when the boards were down, lol!

Nothing really to post of meals from yesterday anyway, we went to ruby tuesdays for "lupper" (lunch/supper) and ds had his leftovers in the evening and dh had to work. I had the wonderful supper of cool ranch doritos, a no bake cookie, and a glass of blueberry wine......pretty gourmet huh?!!?(can you tell I am pmsing, lol)

Lindsey- What a week you have had poor thing! I send hugs from Maine to you!!

Sheryl- Thank goodness dh wasn't hurt any worse, but how scary for you all!! I am sure he is very sore today!! OUCH!

Glynis- Not a cope out, just a well deserved night off!!

Mermaid- Hope you had a nice anniversary weekend on the island. Funny thing is, we were going to go this weekend too just for the heck of it, but dh is just to busy with docks right now. We always say a rainy day in BH is better then a sunny one at home;) Nothing tastes better then beer in a bag at Geddy's!!

WFD tonight- It is just ds and I as dh is working, we are having chili mac and corn on the cob! It is still a bit overcast here so it will be perfect.

Have a good one!!

We had lunch at Jack Russell's yesterday- excellent burgers and a nice brew too. Can't remember what it was called, but they make it right there.

Last night we had dinner at Parkside... I had the Shore Dinner, cup of clam chowder, steamers, a lobster and blueberry pie and coffee (I had a chocolate thing instead though- I hate blueberries) It was very good. I prefer to eat lobster at home though. They cut the shell and I found it insulting and unnecessary. LOL:yay:

That is just WRONG!!! That is why we love our lobsters either at home or at one of the seasonal shacks, lol!!

BTW love love love jack russell's!!!!!

The thing is they cut right into the digestive tract... making it hard to gracefully clean the thing up. It's so much easier to pull the shell apart and separate the tail. Then again, I didn't need to wear the bib either, didn't get a drop on me.;) I could pick out my own lobster before I could ride a bike.:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the warm wishes! :goodvibes

If I cook anything today, it will be mashed potatoes or something soft! DH's face just keeps swelling & he's having trouble eating, but still being a tough guy about the whole thing. Now if he had a cold, I'd have a whiney baby on my hands!

Sheryl

I'm frustrated with myself - I accidently thawed chicken instead of pork but I'm determined to make this recipe work anyways!

We're having Hoisin-Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin (now b/s chicken) with grilled pineapple It's from the latest Good Housekeeping. I love using the grill - saves on clean up!

Hoisin-Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin with grilled pineapple

¼ C hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
1 whole pork tenderloin (1 & ¼ lb)
½ medium pineapple
2 tablespoon brown sugar

1. Prepare outdoor grill for covered direct grilling over medium heat. In small bowl, combine hoisin, honey, ginger and oil.
2. Place pork on hot grill rack. Cover and cook pork 18-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
3. With serrated knife, cut pineapple half into 4 wedges. Rub cut sides with brown sugar.
4. Grill pineapple 10 minutes or until browned on both sides, turning once. While it’s grilling, brush pork with the hoisin-honey glaze and turn frequently until the temperature reaches 155 degrees. Transfer pork to cutting board, let stand 10 minutes. Transfer pineapple to platter.
5. Thinly slice pork and serve with pineapple

 for you and Bob! I sure hope he starts feeling better tomorrow. And you should take it easy today too!

He looks really bad, black eye, lots of swelling & bruising on half of his face. But Thank God it could have been much worse.

Sheryl

Thank God he is okay. A fall like that is terrible though, so I hope that he does not feel the effects for too long.

Bibs are for the tourists, ;) ....I spent the first 13 years of my life on the lobster boats right out of frenchman's bay.....now they don't get any fresher then that!!

You guys are killing me with the lobster talk. I LOVE lobster, can I come visit?:cool1:

SURE!! We will have a good ole lobster feed!!! :cool1: The Mainah's with the NOLA's    cold beer and rosa regale all around!!

Busy day here!

Lindsay- :grouphug: You have had a tough week. I know how hard it is to lose a pet.

Glynis- nothing wrong with KFC. I love it and it is the best kind of treat here. We don't have it often, but it is so good when we do.

Sheryl- The day after a fall always to seem to be worse. I think the shock wears off and you feel it more. I hope DH feels better soon.

Aimeedya don't feel badly. I can't tell you how often I take the wrong thing out of the freezer. We just eat it :confused3

Kathy- come on up and join us!

liamandcailli- I have been checking out recipes online and it seems that egg substitutes are not too hard. We found sliced bread and rolls that we think are okay. DD will check with the allergist on Tuesday, but there are some work around out there. You are right, it is going to be the baked goods that are the problem.

Tonight we are having Glynis teriyaki burgers and hot dogs, corn on the cob and sliced tomatoes and cucumbers.

Sheryl ~ So sorry about your DH's accident. Hope he heals quickly.

DS and DH ended up having restaurant leftovers from lunch for dinner last night. I've been having horrible stomach issues (ibs) on and off for the past few weeks. Last night it was bad so I didn't have dinner, unless you call a couple graham crackers dinner.

We're having chicken breast sandwiches on my favorite French hamburger buns from Publix bakery. DS has requested tater tots and corn on the side.
