Hi everyone! :) Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Well I tried eating meat again (small amounts) and wow was that a mistake. I've felt sooo incredibly sick and have gone back to being a vegetarian. I'm starting to feel better now though. :)
So tonight for dinner was a salad with kidney beans, carrots, cucumbers and other veggies. Then I had a gardenburger. It was simple but yummy.

Today we are going to The Macaroni Grill. We haven't been there in a long time so I am really looking forward to it.

My BIL couldn't make it last night after all so if we get hungry later tonight we have plenty of leftovers. *grumble*

WFD at your house?

A quick good morning post to you all!!
We are out the door to go to ds karate tournament for the day....It is about 40 min away and we will be there most of the day to still cheer on others on ds team after he is done is competing!!
Dinner will be out to Red Robin as ds gets to pick on these days.
Hope you all have a great day!!

Morning! I am quick here too...my battery is dying!

We are going to visit FMIL and taking her to lunch....haven't thought much about dinner...something light, maybe take out.

Have a great day!

Lauren

Good Morning Everybody!
Last night was a eat when you are hungry night. Kady had a play date and she had a difficult time for a while, so I opened a bottle of Pinot Noir, handed a glass to Buddy and feasted on cheese and crackers in front of the fire place
I baked chocolate chip cookies with the girls so that was my dinner. Everyone else had the American chop suey.

Tonight we are having hot dogs with the onions on this thread and french fries. Maybe some cole slaw.

BTW- Marisa has been checking the WFDT to see what we are having for dinner. She is having a field day at Buddy's expense :lmao:...he is not a computer guy and has visions (I mean nightmares) of what we talk about here.... Ladies, he thinks that you know every little thing he likes and dislikes, what he takes for lunch, and I have not told him otherwise :thumbsup2. With the teasing I have been taking in the kitchen lately, it has been so much fun to turn the tables.

Morning folks, boy its YUCKY here today. Rain Rain go away lol.

Not sure what to cook tonight. Dh is working nights so ive got to do something for him to take to work, but Jack and I are going to eat mexican with friends.
I have a ham in the fridge so I think I will put that in the oven.
Yall have a great day!

Tonight is Sloppy Joes (Rachael Ray's recipe), potato salad (another RR recipe), and steamed carrots. I'm going to have to read back through this thread for some ideas. I'm tired of fixing the same things repeatedly.

I think I'm making brats with saurkraut...Does anyone have a brat recipe that does not require beer?

That is too funny!!!!!:rotfl2:

We're supposed to be traveling about an hour away for DS's baseball game today, but it's raining here and severe weather is expected throughout the day. Hopefully the coaches will be thoughtful and let us know before we leave that the game will be postponed until tomorrow and not make us drive there for nothing.

Anyway, I anticipated a situation like this for dinner I planned something that can pretty much be done a couple of hours before dinner - prime rib, liamsaunt's crispy potatoes(YUM) and a spinach salad! I was going to put my dancing banana here, but he's not dancing today, he must need a shot of Viagra.

I saw her do those once and they looked very good. Could you post the recipe?

Twist a ronis is one of my favorite kids friendly snack, Jack thinks im a ROCK STAR when I make them lol.

1 tube ready-made pizza dough, recommended brand Pillsbury
24 slices pepperoni
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Unflavored cooking spray
preparation

Preheat oven to 375°F.

unravel the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface and stretch to make an even rectangle. In an even layer, on half of the rectangle, place the pepperoni down leaving a 1-inch border and sprinkle with about 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese.

Fold over the other half of the dough and press down gently on the edges to close the halves together. With a rolling pin or your hands, gently roll over or pat down the folded dough.

Use a knife or a pizza cutter to cut 8 to 10 thin, strips about 1-inch thick.

Holding each end of the strip, twist it a few times and transfer to a baking sheet. Spray the entire tray, including the twist-a-ronis, with cooking spray and pop in the oven until golden brown in color, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve with Pizza sauce alongside for dipping.

Rachel Ray showed this on her show YUM, im posting the link to her site so you can look at the pictures on how is done. Super super easy
I did use the turkey pepperoni once and it was NOT nearly as good as regular pepperoni, and we like the turkey stuff normally, but not with this. Rachel made her own sauce, but I use the bottle stuff.

Yields 4 servings

Okay, that's all I know about baseball, much to the embarrassment of my nieces, both catchers ;)

LOL im not dising under the influence to much, just under the influence of CHOCOLATE !!!! I just ate a Russell Stover Chocolate Marshmallow Rabbitt, and had an Abita Strawberry Beer YUM YUM!!!

Good luck to DS in his tournament! I miss the days of DD's tournaments. They were so much fun.

Tonight is spaghetti and meatballs for us. My favorite and DH loves any kind of spaghetti and any excuse to eat it. I was out of town for a week recently and I think he made himself spaghetti or pizza everyday!

I made spicey turkey and cheese wraps for lunch.
Dinner will be veggie crudites and individual pizzas made from whole wheat flatbread with sauce, mozzarella and turkey pepperoni &/or canandian bacon. I'm also going to steam the handful of asparagus I harvested this morning from a bed I started last year. Just have to sample it!
Dessert will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with vanilla ice cream. :)

Tonight's dinner is at DH's request. Today is his birthday, and he requested the dish I have now renamed "Easy Scallops" in honor of Kathy's new nickname.

Nancy, way to keep him guessing dear. ;) I don't blame you one bit.

Good Afternoon All!

Chicken pot pie, a salad (I'm thinking a Caesar), cranberry conserve, & perhaps a little side of risotto or yellow rice.
I've put out the cheese board--an aged sharp Vermont cheddar, smoked gouda & (their fave!) ranch dip, apple & pear slices & some red grapes~

DS18 is home for a week (spring vaca in RI), so I'll be making his faves during the week. We're dyeing Easter eggs tonite (a semi-delayed Easter! )

Pats on the back to all you super Moms (& Dads) driving the kiddos all over Creation today!:grouphug:

Jean

Good morning! :hippie: I'm still feeling a bit sick so I'm having a light dinner tonight. Salad with alfalfa sprouts, chickpeas, kidney beans, seedless cucumbers, carrots, cauliflower, grape tomatoes, red onion, beets and homemade croutons.
