The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

There are still people working on it at 6:30 on a Saturday. I drove down Walnut and then walked up to the top of the hotel parking structure. Hard to get good shots. Those angles you got are about the best.
I sucked it up and walked down Walnut from the plaza at the end of the street. Now I know my request for a balcony room isn’t crazy. 😅

It’s a really attractive building.

Everyone shouts about how all of the Disney hotels just look like office buildings now, and some complained about it when we saw the concept art here, but the way they’ve done the balconies and the color accents and the other accents is really best-in-class for a modern glass covered tower style building.

Not sure if you went into the resort at all, we might have crossed paths 😅

These are from 7:40ish PM on Saturday with a bunch of rooms lit from the inside:

Definitely going to need to use privacy blinds at night!

Can see a construction worker on the GV balcony here! Must be tight on schedule for Disney to pay weekend night rates.

Can see into the 1BR bedrooms (and even the bathrooms in the background) a bit here:

We were just on a staycation for DW's birthday, and we actually took turns staying at home with the dogs, so weren't on property 24/7. We wandered over on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening for some Dole Whip at Tangaroa. I'll try to head over every weekend until it opens, to get some last-minute progress shots (except this weekend as we are headed up to Big Bear for a Land Rover event). We did see housekeeping going through rooms on Saturday afternoon. It looks like the tower is probably 99% complete about the ground level.

Just received email about VDH Open House dates and registration info. Sadly, can't make it but will be there for OBB Oct 8th 😁

I got the email too. I am going to try to make one of the days work. We come home from WDW late on 9/28, so hoping for Saturday maybe. No times listed and it says self guided, so times may be open?

Guess more info during registration on 9/14

I chuckled nervously when the link took me to the online queue page. I definitely got PTSD from Oogie boogie and MM tickets. 😅 If it’s self guided it shouldn’t sell out right? Will be there opening day but sure wouldn’t mind visiting the other models.
