"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I'm guessing that the guards had orders to shoot Bill or Jessica if they tried to leave the house. Could be silver bullets, too, to keep them down longer until a guard could chain them with more silver. Even silver bullets can be removed and the vampire would heal.

That's my guess, anyway.

The whole Debbie Pelt being jealous of Alcide and Sookie is probably being setup for a major confrontation between the two women.... at least I hope so we can be rid of Debbie.

Maybe they will stick with another aspect of the book during Eric's amnesia. :thumbsup2 Of course, that could lead to one of my least favorite parts of the books, the Pelt family.

I wonder if we'll meet Quinn in the show?

So DH has an interesting theory...

Jason will shift into a were-panther in order to save Jessica..

Interesting idea....

I loved this episode...I was on the edge of my seat there at the end! The witch story line though is getting better, and I can tolerate it better

Hello there! I finally caught up all episodes.:)

All I can say is wow, it is getting interesting. Eric and Sookie.....:thumbsup2

I don't like Jason and Jess as a potential couple. Jessica is like 10 feet tall and Jason is so short!

Hmm- interesting. I don't know- I thought they pretty much nixed the idea of weres being able to "turn" someone, though. Alcide and Debbie told Sookie it doesn't work like with vampires- you have to be born with the were genes and at least one parent has to be full-blooded.

I think Jason might have ended up fathering a few little panther cubs in Hotshot, though- those girls and Crystal were all full-blooded weres.

I would have liked to have a little more "will they or won't they" time elapse with Sookie and Eric. Bill letting him go that quickly was surprising, but I think he sees how Eric isn't "Eric" now -- it'll be a big surprise when he comes back to himself. :thumbsup2

I also would have liked to have seen a little more build up or something between Sookie and Eric, I think there is a little chemistry missing, that could have been so much better if they had a little will they or won't they or something. Hopefully it will change. It's good and all but it could be better. Now the Jessica/Jason thing is full of chemistry even tho I feel bad for Hoyt.

Remember this show has an incredibly short season. Something like 12 weeks compared to the normal 24 episodes of a network TV, fall/spring series. Taking even 2-3 extra episodes to build up the story arc is a lot. This show usually ends the weekend after Labor Day. (With no new epi Labor day weekend.) We are already at the 2/3s mark of the season.

well if the show follows the book in this area, we will be rid of debbie pelt:thumbsup2

interesting theory.
I forget from the book, but are any of jason and sookie's relatives shifters?
or just fairies?
maybe the tiny bit of fairy blood will allow jason to shift like he does in the book. and that is how they will explain it, since they already seemed to nix it with the alcide and debbie statements..........in the book though its not a true change, its sort of half werepanther half man. if I remember correctly.

Sookie and Jason are descended from fairies. She got the telepathic ability and Jason didn't get anything from the fae.

I like where you are going with Jason's fairie past and the were shifting. I'd like that a lot on the show.

In the books, only the first born of child would carry the shifter gene - but didn't BOTH parents have to be shifters?

And it could be transmitted through biting in the books...but if you were bitten, not born, you would turn into a half man/half animal hybrid.

I thought the book said the reason women find him irresistible was because of his fae heritage.

yes that's true - but Sookie's telepathy was an actual gift from her ancestor. Jason didn't get any gifts...the attraction is just because of the blood and was not "gifted" to him.

I just read that part! Sookie was told that fairy blood doesn't affect humans, and if it did all those human men would be more interested in her. They tied her telepathy to the fae blood in the show, but in the book Eric tells her that she's the only telepathic fae that he's ever met.

I'm sure the gunshot was meant for us to believe the guard shot Jason, but I would beet that Jason actually shot the guard.

Great episode. Lots o'naked Skarsgaard!

Well, if Jason was shot, once they got Jessica back in side she could use her blood to heal him, which would be another tipping point in his attraction to her.

Wait, when did they say that? Because I remember Niall specifically telling Sookie that her mother was so attracted to her father because of the fae blood and that's why she basically ignored her kids.... and something about the reason that Adele was so attracted to Fintan was also because he was fae... :confused3 Although I have found several inconsistencies while reading the books so it wouldn't surprise me if this was another one...

Its very possible that I'm wrong, but I read that somewhere around chapter 3-5 in book 7. I've noticed some inconsistencies too. Maybe, this is just one of those times where they're not telling sookie everything there is to know and misleading her to reveal the truth later?

And that was changed with the whole Sam and Tommy situation

So what did everyone think of this week's episode?

I'm disappointed how Sookie/Eric is working out. The chemistry is just gone. I can't believe I'm finding myself fast forwarding during their pillow talk.
