"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I really love Eric, but the way he's conspiring to get Sookie away from Bill is a litle too evil for me! In the books, he wants her but doesn't overtly conspire to get her away from Bill like this. It's taking away a bit from my Eric-love...

;)

You know, I just re-read book 3 and there was one part where I felt Eric probably orchestrated Sookie finding out about Bill and Lorena. He, Pam, and Chow come to Sookie's house to ask her to look for Bill and Pam keeps saying that Sookie should know what was really going on. Eric then makes Pam and Chow leave and tells Sookie something along the lines of, "I didn't want to be the one to tell you this because then I would be the one that hurt you." But I do wonder if Pam would have mentioned it if Eric hadn't told her to do it.

Neither here nor there when it comes to the series, though. :rotfl: And, yeah, I agree with you that I'm not keen on Eric in True Blood being the one to bring Bill and Lorena together.

belle&sebastiansmom--I thought of you when Daphne was revealed to be the pig! :lmao: Well done!

Oh, and I was really tickled to FINALLY see Eric wearing the famous tight black t-shirt that is his normal attire in the books. The track suit thing and the tank tops weren't doing it for me in the series.

Eric definitely conspires in the books! There are so many things he does that are so premeditated to try and lure Sookie to him instead of Bill. He's a sneaky one.

Just watched the sneak peak, all I can say is WOW! I am about half way through Dead as a Doornail. I will be watching each week.:happytv:

Ok..so i have a problem with Daphne the freaky pig B****...ok she is a shifter..and in the books it always said that shifters heal super quick..even Sookies back healed completely after taking Bills blood on True Blood ( it SHOULD have been her first time taking Eric's blood...) ANYWAY..would a shifter still have scars that bad????? See it's the little things that annoy me..lol

Well, a maenad scratch will kill a human--perhaps a shifter can survive it but still takes time to heal?

I'm making stuff up now, I have no clue really, but I wanted to try to make you feel better. :lmao:

LOL thanks..im telling you these pregnancy hormones are making me crazy..and this is #4!! LOL You are probably right though....

Altho I haven't read the books yet, I agree with you about Eric. I do really like his character but it's missing something yet. I wait every week to hope they show him desiring or wanting her more than just for her abilities, showing a genuine caring side for Sookie. Sometimes there are tiny small hints but its not enough. Although it does keep me watching and hoping for more. :)

It wasn't just Eric's blood that healed her. In the show, that wacky doctor had to draw out all the poison before Bill could then heal her.

(I'm making this part up too, :)) Maybe, since Daphne is a shifter, it saved her from dying. Had she had that Dr. work on her back, she might have been more healed with less scarring. I'm thinking there would have still been some scarring as Sookie definitely needed a vampires blood to help her all the way. :scratchin

I figured she survived because she was a shifter. I never thought about the healing aspects of being a shifter.

I hadn't considered her being healed by the were-doctor, Imzadi. Good call. Maybe she was unavailable since Sookie also healed very quickly and Daphne said she was sick for weeks.

Ooh, boy, do I remember that feeling. Pretty much everything and everyone annoyed me when I was pregnant. ;)

Here's what bothers me, though I'm not dwelling on it much. In the books, the vamps are all but useless during the day, whether it's light tight or not. But Sookie and Bill are sitting in the bed in that vamp hotel during the day and she's so excited because it's the first time she's been able to be with him during the day.

Like a PP said, it's just the little things.

ooh that irked me too...cause it isn't the sunlight that is the biggest problem, it's that daytime just "drains" them for lack of a better term. Watching that with them in that hotel, I was like um no...now they're just completely changing the basic world that Charlaine created...

Okay, I have a problem...... I've read 7 books of the series in 12 days and can't stop. ;)

That realllly annoyed me too. Even if they're in the vampire hotel, they still shouldn't be out & about. :confused3

I have not read the whole thread; what is the name of the series?

of books? They are known as the Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampires series. They are written by Charlaine Harris.

Read them again. Then again. And again. I read them all the way 4 times while waiting for that last book to come out.

I try to see the show as just an homage or fan fiction to the Sookie books because they have strayed so far away from the books. It doesn't mean it doesn't bother me when I see glaring changes in the world Charlaine Harris created (Jason? Tara? Lafayette?), but it bothers me less if I think of it that way.
