"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

OMG. Eric lovers - have you ever watched ZOOLANDER..? Omg he is one of the gay friends.
I saw him and was like, Omg, that's eric...

It's HILARIOUS.

ok I just purchased the entire book series....i will be reading all weekend. LOL

Since it's been brought up, I've been thinking about the whole vampire not sleeping or having down time because she/he is in a vamp hotel. WTH! If you were a vampire, wouldn't you just live in one? Or, prepare your nest like it is a vamp hotel so you could do things during waking hours? Wouldn't Bill's issues of finding a handyman have been easier on him if he didn't have to sleep during the day?

Did anyone see the email from HBO about True Blood? They are going to be selling a Blood Orange soda in a TruBlood bottle. I took a look. It is $16.00 for a 4-pack. I think I'll stick with Wegman's brand of blood orange soda. It's cheaper and bigger.

So I saw a post on facebook last night that Season 3 is official!

Also, I am just started book 8 and I can't stand it. Where is Quinn?

Now you are getting too technical.:rotfl:

Here is my thought on that. The vampire being awake at that time is not normal and it is more of a "vacation" or to conduct business with humans for them to be awake during the day.

I suppose they could choose that lifestyle however it would be like you and me choosing to sleep all day and be awake at night.

UGH!!! I just finished reading book 3. I'm on vacation at the beach and as it was, we had to drive off the Island (Long Beach Island, NJ) and find me a bookstore Thursday so I could buy "Living Dead in Dallas" & "Club Dead".

We leave tomorrow and I'm already looking online trying to find another bookstore so I can buy book 4.

I can't wait to read what happens with Sookie and the vampire(s). (Trying not to give anything away to those who have not read the books yet.)

This sexual tension sure is frustrating!!!
I'm late reading this but Target and Walmart have all the books.

Read them again. Then again. And again. I read them all the way 4 times while waiting for that last book to come out.

I try to see the show as just an homage or fan fiction to the Sookie books because they have strayed so far away from the books. It doesn't mean it doesn't bother me when I see glaring changes in the world Charlaine Harris created (Jason? Tara? Lafayette?), but it bothers me less if I think of it that way.
That's the way I've come to think of it too. I like it much more when I stop thinking about the differences. I'm sort of disappointed that they didn't bring the characters I know and love to life the same way as the books, but I am enjoying the series...just in a different way.

I like some of the additions. I love Jessica! I'm so glad Lafayette is still around, though he needs to get his flair back! Loooove the casting of Pam and I hope they write more scenes for her.

I'm totally hooked on the show and now reading the books! But what would I need besides a blonde wig to be Sookie for Halloween?

I am sure this has been asked repeatedly but I really dont want to sift through all these pages. I love the show, have no HBO, so I am need of a vampire fix. What is the first book in the series that I need to go get?? any help I would appreciate :goodvibes

Here's the order of the books (from the authors website - charlaineharris.com):

Dead Until Dark
Living Dead in Dallas
Club Dead
Dead to the World
Dead as a Doornail
Definitely Dead
All Together Dead
From Dead to Worse
Dead and Gone

The first book is called "Dead Until Dark". Second is "Living Dead In Dallas", I think- I lent the first 6 to a friend, so can't check the titles to make sure.

Hey. has anyone read any of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books? A friend told me if I was into vampire books, I should read them. Are they any good??

.

:lmao::lmao: I think this all the time- even before the hotel episode. I was thinking, why can't vamps just make a home in a "cellar"- since no windows, it is all good!:thumbsup2

you can buy the girls style white merlotte's shirt from the hbo website...

You need to make sure your "girls" are extra high. For some reason, Sookie's girls seem to be up near her neck when she's wearing that Merlotte's t-shirt. :confused3

The show is on again right now. During Lorena's flashback to the time she & Bill were in that hotel room with that couple, why didn't they drink all the blood? It seemed like an awful waste of a lot of fresh blood from two people.

I've read them all and (with the exception of 1) I really liked them all.

They all sort of follow a similar formula so in general I liked the first ones better than the later ones. The exception to that is the latest book, Lover Avenged. I REALLY liked it.
