"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I was saddened by how Bill became a vampire. When he was taken back to his home just to look, it broke my heart.

I said to DH- why doesn't he just bite his family and they can all be together forever?:confused3

That is what I would do:thumbsup2

In the book, he never goes back to his family. Like I said earlier, they don't talk about his "turning" until later books.

I like how you think, though. I would suppose that as such a young vampire, he may not even know all of the steps to make someone a vampire. :confused3 Then there are all the troubles that the little girl in Interview With a Vampire suffered because she was forever a child. Not that Bill would have known that, but I could see how that would cause problems. It was probably just more honorable for Bill to do the right thing by his family.

I enjoy this show more with every episode.:thumbsup2

I thought of that at first too, but then I thought
-that the chick who made him a vampire was taking pleasure in the fact that he couldn't be with his family anymore (since she couldn't be with her husband) and that she probably wouldn't want him to know what to do to make others vampires so that he would be unhappy too
-that he wouldn't be able to make the kids vampires as they were so young and then you have an Interview With a Vampire thing where it just causes a whole lot of trouble. Also, wasn't one of the kids still a baby/toddler? How do you make a baby drink daddy's blood? And since the baby would always be the same age, they are looking and lifetimes and lifetimes of diaper duty! :rotfl:

I forgot about the baby!:rotfl2: Someone asks to hold the baby, "oooooo- look at the cute little baby......" *chomp*

I am selfish, so if I became a vampire- I would bite DH:rotfl2: I already warned him that I want to live forever- and he is coming with me. He said he does not want to live forever, and I said- "well, that's too bad!":lmao:

I am enjoying the series for the most part, I have to agree Tara is really annoying.
The dog was in the first book, when Sookie is attacked by the Ratrays, she hears the dog growl, and wonders where it came from. At first I was like what happend to the dog and I figure maybe we were lead to believe it was Bill coming to save her and making a crazy vampire growling sound, so after the first episode I reread it and it made sense.

The following is possibly a spoiler so if you want to read it, I've written it in white font so you'll need to highlight it to see it:

But isn't the dog Sam? What really threw me off was when in a later scene the dog was at Sam's house and he called him "brother."

Yeah, I know for a fact that I wouldn't bite my brother. All he would do is find a way to complain about living forever, and how annoying it was to find people to bite. Besides, he has issues with change and this would be a very very tough one

:lmao:

I would only choose DH, and people that made me laugh all the time- My best friend, my one cousin (but she is afraid of Halloween, not sure how she would take being biten:lmao: ) my 2 SILs- I think I prefer a small crowd of the undead. :lmao:

DH would be the only male- I think he would be happy with that!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I haven't read the books, but thank you for this! Now the bed rolling scene makes more sense. I was really thrown off at first. It creeped me out a little!

Yes! All that rolling around! Totally disturbing!! Gave ME the willies!

I told you I am forgetful- believe it or not I heard what Sam said to the dog, and at that time, I actually had a thought about what it could mean- and I just remembered that it even happened!:headache: :headache:

Can you see why I cannot read the books- when I was finished, the show would be all new again to me b/c I would forget what I read!!!! :rotfl2:

:lmao: Sorry, I should have maybe mentioned that that might happen in my post. I'd love to take credit for the genius white font but it's a pretty common way to post spoilers. :thumbsup2

It was a little creepy. And I'm still not sure exactly where they were going with that whole story line so they may have changed this from the book somehow.

I'm going to make a guess of my own, in white. I have only read the first book, so this is a guess but still a possible spoiler.

I read on the back of one of the much later books that Sookie falls for a shapeshifter named Quinn. Maybe the other dog is Quinn, a possible brother to Sam?

I was thinking the same thing about the dog being one!

They are very common in the Native American religion.

Can I just say that this show is really awesome! I love the different characters and its just so crazy and funny at the same time!

I was upset about Grams though :sad1: Poor Sookie

I just hate that they keep brining Jason in for everything! The dog is definately someone important, I wonder if it really is a "HIGHER" power of somesort?

Can't wait for next week!

Thanks for clarifying this! I read the book from the library, so it wasn't convenient for me to reread this to find out what the dog was doing there. I didn't remember him being there during that scene.

Here's my super secret reply. ;) MAJOR spoiler so don't quote this!

Quinn is a weretiger. There are lots of wereanimals that Sookie runs into but Sam is a shapeshifter which means he can turn into anything, if I remember correctly. He chooses a dog because people aren't afraid of dogs like they are of wolves or tigers. I still just don't understand how the dog arrived at his house and he petted it--it obviously couldn't have been him following Sookie.

I always feel like I'm leaving a message for my sister written in lemon juice when I do this. :lmao:
