"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

And did anyone notice Sookie crying in the car when she & Alcide drove back home? She still is in love with Bill.

You are right! I totally didn't think of it that way because I was too busy being pissed off at Eric for ruining any chance at Alcide/Sookie :rotfl:

Well I'm glad Luna isn't dead!

When I saw that I rolled my eyes. They so made her seem dead at the end of the last episode. I said to DH, 'OH c'mon! She was so dead!" It's not that I wanted her dead, but I hate when the ending really seems like the deal is sealed and then it does a 180 in the next. I don't consider that a true cliffhanger.

I just got caught up on the last 2 episodes and I certainly did not see that ending off the last episode coming. Does anyone else think the whole "fire monster" story line is just dumb?

I absolutely agree about the fire monster. I'm not even sure why they included this totally random story line. I mean, I do like Terry as a character. But I'm okay with him just as he is without any major story lines out of left field.

So, how many of the council members are sanguinista? The guy who brought Russell back to headquarters seems to be one. I'm thinking both Nora and the other woman. What about Sharon Osborne look alike?

Oh I agree I think the guy who brought Russell back definitely is especially since he attacked the people on the bus instead of erasing their memories I also think Salome is the one heading this whole thing up along with Nora. As for the Sharon Osborne look alike a think she is the only one who isn't a sanguinista.

Salome! That is her name. I couldn't remember for the life of me and clearly I was too lazy to google.

ETA: That leaves one other council member. The older gentleman (again I don't remember his name).

I just returned from a couple of weeks in China. I had three episodes waiting for me. Watched them last night. How nice to just fast forward through boring parts like the fire monster or the Meloni rants! This season was sucking (in a bad way) until Russell.

Why do they keep adding more people and more storylines? I groaned when they started up this "killing shifter" storyline. The fairy stuff is boring too.

The show is saved because of Eric's one liners. They better give more attention to Russell and less on this Lilith nonsense.

I'm going to stop watching the show live from now on so I can just pick the parts I'm interested in.

I too am getting frustrated with all of the random storylines. Where is Quinn already? I hope he comes next episode to keep the fight fair between Alcide and the other wolf. I would much rather see him then this weird Terry story line going on, that is completely ridiculous. Why do they keep going to this cheesy fake fairy club? Why did Eric glamor Alcide out of the one thing that would've saved this season:rolleyes1? :headache:

I keep wondering why they so severely altered some of the story lines. I think the way they did it in the books made it easier to suspend my disbelief. For example I was totally able to accept the fairy strip club in the book. It made sense in that world. This is a bit more random and the dancing!?

But I don't want to turn this into a bash True Blood thread because clearly I keep on watching! I do like Russell as a character and I liked seeing him in the preview. For some reason him walking through the streets in a dark hat and dark glasses seemed very Hannibal Lector-ish.

I love Lafayette and even though his is another added storyline, I don't mind too much. His one liners are always great.

I am curious if they'll include Quinn at all. He should already exist based on the books, but maybe they'll just add him in late? I figure they won't miss an opportunity for more eye candy.

The fairy thing doesn't translate as well on the show. I think it needs more explaination than they are willing to give on the series.

I LOVE Russell. He is one of my favorite T.V. characters of all time.

I didn't like Quinn in the books so I don't know how I feel abut him being on the show.

I hope they DO stick more to the books when it comes to the Were challenge(I usually don't mind the deviation). That was one of the best books in the series in my opinion.

I'm thinking one of the big cliffhangers of this season will be that Bill is (apparently) in with the Sanguinistas.

Bill is a Sanguinista? Wow I did not see that one coming. How though? He loves sookie. Now who killed Sookies parents? Has to be a vampire we know right?

Why would we assume Bill is a Sanguinista? That goes completely against his character.

ETA: I'm also curious about the idea of a vampire killing Sookie's parents. I keep wondering if that is a red herring based off what I know happened in the books (don't necessarily want to share it here in case book storyline that is the direction they go. Spoilers and all)

I think it is going to be Russell who killed Sookie's parents.

And I don't think it is too far fetched for Bill to be a Sanguinista. I think that, on the show, he has a dark side that has yet to be revealed(besides the history with Lorenna). To me, something has always been off with Bill's T.V. character. **But, with that said, I don't think he IS a Sanguinista.

Russell didn't know anything about Sookie being a fairy when he first met her. Had he killed her parents, he probably would have known they had kids and would have kept an eye on her & her brother.

So I was talking to a friend about this last episode and I had to totally agree with her. What's his name (Chris Maloni) authority guy isn't dead. He didn't explode and become bloody goop. He was cracking and stuff but not that slimy bloody stuff that happens after a vampires are staked.

Plus he was part of the panel at SDCC convention last week so I'm not sure he is gone.

That's why I put "apparently" in my statement. I think we may be led to believe he is. Bill's been shown as a power climber (in the books and in the show), so I'm just thinking that may be one of the ways they go.

So tonight's episode...

I really would like to see some of these story lines converge to cut some of them out. I'm very curious what direction the new show runner will take the show. It seems as if, based on the previews, that Bill may be very tempted or partially sucked into the sanguinistas. Still I think he will ultimately choose good.
