Our trip is booked and I am so excited! I have never been to DLR for Halloween time before. My details are:

Travel dates: 10/31-11/2
Hotel: GCH
Halloween party on the 31st!

:yay: party:

:cool1:DH and I are making our 1st trip to DL coming in Friday Oct 17th from San Diego around 2pm, staying at the DLH and leaving Sunday out of LAX at 2.

After soon many DW trips we are finally going to see where it started.popcorn::

Finally got my hotel booked yesterday...so excited!!!!! I ended up booking Grand Californian instead of Disneyland Hotel because it was much cheaper!!! I am a travel agent and they were out of travel agent rates for DLH. I am very excited to have such close access to the parks!

Just to update our information: DD and I are staying at the Disneyland Hotel and we are attending the Sep 30 Halloween Party. Very excited! Everything is arranged, now just waiting.

We're going in October! It's actually a LEGOland trip for my boys but we'll be in Anaheim from Oct. 19-21 and going to MHP on Oct 20. We're staying at Anaheim Desert Inn & Suites. If all goes as planned we'll be dressing up as Toy Story characters.

I am a travel agent and they were out of travel agent rates for DLH.

I had the same experience with the military rate -- $400 less expensive at GCH than DLH!

Thanks, Dena, for keeping up with this! Is lime green the accepted Cali color code for Disers?

Just updating our info :) We'll be staying at the Stanford Inn and Suites. Totally excited for the girls to have bunk beds (just like at home) and their own little room! I may actually get to relax a little bit! And for $100/night, free parking, and free full breakfast, I don't think we can beat it!

Finally able to make my Blue Bayou reservation today! My cousin will be joining me for one day, so we're doing bb that day. I booked an 11:30 lunch reservation. Just waiting for my MHP tickets to come in the mail, & waiting for the 30 day mark so I can book my tours! This trip is starting to feel real!

I got my MHP tickets today!!! We are going on Friday October 10th. I am so excited. I am bummed I have to wait another week before I can make all the reservations I want to make.:dance3:

So exciting!!! We are in the home stretch!

Hi there!
we are officially going Oct 4-11. its me, my husband, my 9 year old daughter, and my 5 year old son.
we went to disneyland for one day back in 2009. it was before my son was born and with a non disney fanatic- so for all qualifications i'd consider this our first trip. we are staying at the sheraton anaheim on points. We will attend MHP on Wednesday Oct 8, and have 2 days at each park.

How fun lbuzz52!

You have so much to look forward to! The Fall/Halloween decor is beautiful! We love MHP, as well---so much fun!::yes::

We'll be there during that exact time frame---we can't wait!:)

You'll have a great time at DLR! Be sure to come and join us in the Halloween Time at DLR Superthread too! We discuss any and all aspects of the season (from mid-September to the end of October), including all of the decorations (what can and cannot be enjoyed if one decides to not attend the MHP), merchandise and foods (just the other day I typed up a massive list of all of the seasonal meals, snacks and drinks that are available during the Halloween Time season); other Halloween-ish things to do in Southern California when not at Disneyland (such as "Rise of the Jack O' Lanterns," etc.); and Mickey's Halloween Party, of course. :cool1:

Lately we have been keeping track of the first sightings of seasonal foods and drinks popping up in grocery stores (Pumpkin Pie Spice Jif Whips, anyone?? Brach's S'mores Candy Corn, anyone?), as well as the first signs of Fall/Halloween creeping in at Disneyland Resort.

I've started reading thru the thread but have only made it about halfway thru. i've already come up with a couple questions :rotfl2:
any gentle suggestions are appreciated. Feel free to pm me if my questions sound repetitive.

We will be there from October 14th-22nd and going two days in middle of trip to stay in San Diego

what did you decide to do in San Diego?

anyone else going to the beach or San Diego feel free to chime in.

You're welcome!

You can get the same discount on the MHP tickets (for select nights) if you use a Disney Visa card (debit or credit) to purchase them that you would get if you used an Annual Pass. Also, Disney Vacation Club members can get that discount as well.

if say... my mother purchased these tickets for me with her Disney Visa to receive the discount, and "gifted" them to me, and she was not going with us, could i still use them?

Definitely my pleasure :)

I have added the link to the HalloweenTime super thread #4 to the first page. It is without a doubt the place to be for all things DL Halloween!!!!

I am really thinking of ordering some stuff online as well as a bit of stuff from Von's and having it delivered to the BWPPI for my arrival. If they will do that and hold it securely it would make my life oh so much easier :)

so is Von's the best place to order from?

Just booked our flights down and our hotel and sent registration for the Y.E.S program for the kids for 10/22-10/27!! We haven't been since the kids were really little and DS doesn't even remember, so I am so excited to go back!! :cheer2:

if i remember correctly the discounted YES tickets at WDW are now only for the student. is it the same at DL?

we've done WDW at halloween time and love it. I can't wait to see it at DL! i've got to check your thread out! sounds like an amazing resource!

Fyi, I spoke to tours this am and access to Walt's apartment will not be available September 2 to October 15. I'm totally bummed about this, but glad I found out now and not after booking! Just wanted to mange sure you knew in case it affects your plans

We love Balboa Park in San Diego. The zoo is amazing but an all day event. There are other things at Balboa Park that are smaller if you're looking for that. I also love Coronado Island and the beaches there.

We bought MHP tickets two years ago with our Disney Visa and they never asked for ID or anything when we used them. I can't see why there would be a problem with you using them.

that's too bad! I am thinking about doing this tour as a bday gift to ME a little later in our trip. We are staying until the 20th, so maybe it will be on time opening back up. I'm sorry you are missing it!
