Alice28 - you will be *hugely* missed. :flower3:

But I wonder - where are all the new mommies? Surely there's been some new Dis Babies in the last 6 months. :scratchin

Cab- I'm glad your first day at work went well.

I have to be honest and let you ladies know that a lot is going on right now with my kids, etc and I just need to cut WAY back on the DIS. I think it's just time for me to 'move on' so to speak.

:wave2: You all have been great!

You'll be missed, do stay in touch! Hope everything is ok!

Ice, how's things going?

Marilynn

HI moms, can't post much right cuz I can barely see (yep, it's pinkeye- oh joy!), but I just wanted to tell Alice28 how much we'll miss her! I hope everything at hope works out and you can find time to pop in every once in a while to say hi.

Thank you. She is growing so fast:(. It is hard to believe she will be 5 mnths on friday.

poohangel~ Faith is a cutie! My dd weighed almost 18 lbs by 5 months old. It's hard to believe now since she pretty much stopped gaining much soon after that. She is over 20 months old now and just now has gotten up to 21 lbs. She went from my chubster to my little peanut! Who knows what she will be like in a couple years at this rate?!

Quick hello to the moms. I hope all is well with everyone.

Cabmom - glad things went well at work! Was thinking of you. And I'm glad Dean did well at daycare!

Disneyphd - I always tell others to call a dr. for themselves if they would for their kid too, of course, when it comes to me:rolleyes1

Ryan - I hope you feel better soon

nucpharm - WTG on the running!

poohangel - love your countdown ticker!

justhat - it's so nice to speak with old friends

Tasha & jill - good luck with school!

Robin - DIS will miss you!:hippie:

fabumouse - there must be new mommies...

Hello DIS moms. :yay:

Disneyphd - I always tell others to call a dr. for themselves if they would for their kid too, of course, when it comes to me:rolleyes1

I am the same way. :rolleyes1 Which is why tell others to. Sometimes I need to call my mom, and then she tells me to call. I am getting much better though.

Robin, this place just will not be the same with out your updates. I hope all is going well with you. Remember light and upbeat. I know you can do it. :goodvibes :thumbsup2 You have had a lot thrown at you this past 2 years and you have always handled it like a pro.

Fabumose, some of us new mommies are hardly new anymore. ;) You are right, there has to be some more recent additions on the Dis.

Fabumouse, Poohangel, Justhat - Howdy!

I hope your 5 month olds are also doing well! Time really does fly! Jacob will be 6 months old two weeks from tomorrow! He's doing really well. Right now, we are having follow up appointments at Duke EVERY two months! It's a little more often than I anticipated, but it is also reassuring. We are also at the peditrician AT LEAST once a month (if not more!) because he is getting the Synagist vaccine for RSV (those things are like $1500 a shot - once a month from October to April! Thank GOD for insurance!)

lglblonde - thanks for sharing the photos! Love the Santa hat and glasses. And of course, the toy giraffe popped out at me, as Leif is a giraffe lover. Sorry to hear about all those shots - OUCH! Glad things are going well.

Hello DIS mommies. Have a great day.

LglBlonde - Jacob is so adorable! And can you believe he's almost 6 months old?! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were waiting to see who was going to deliver first! I see you have good taste in baby clothes/products. Henry had that Santa hat and suit too. And the Pooh outfit. And the football pjs. And the travel swing (though ours is an older version). And the Baby Einstein mat. I felt like I was looking at my own stuff in your house! ;) I loved the photos so keep 'em coming!

So glad your insurance is covering the Synagis vaccine. I know a lot of them try to fight you on it, which really irks me cause it's such a nasty illness.

Justhat - that is hilarious!!! It's so neat that Henry is just 3 days younger, and that Maddy is just two days younger than Jacob! Wow!

You'll see in picture 108 that you can barely see his little scar. Especially compared to the first picture in the October 2006 album. It's amazing!!

The insurance has not even questioned the Synagis since he has "heart disease." Thank goodness.

Ya know what, I didn't even notice his scar at all until you pointed that out! I mean, I know he had heart surgery and all, but did not see a scar on him at all in that picture. I went back and saw the faint mark, but wow, he's come a long way!

I forgot to tell you how cute that Roo costume is too!

I think it's neat too that the 3 of us had babies within 3 days of each other, especially since they were due throughout the whole month.

Hey, I checked out your Christmas pics. They are so good, such a sweetheart.

I didnt notice a scar either.

Thanks guys! Yeah, it's really faded since even October. It's very light now. The drainage tube holes look a little more obvious than the scar even. We are so lucky he is doing so well now!

I'm sorry I dropped off the board for a while. It was a very "short" maternity leave it seems - I stayed out until Nov. 6, but worked part time in October. My coworker had her baby @ 27 weeks on October 13, so things were crazy around here. Another atty was out on FMLA at the same time too, and yet another was having her own medical issues. The mom of the preemie was out about 3 weeks recovering from her own health issues, and then came back to work. Her little girl came home on December 27 at 5 lbs, 5 oz and I think she was 38-39 weeks gestationally.

OK, what happened to our thread? Did I miss something while I was MIA? Come back moms!!! I went to my volunteer orientation today for the Parenting Program at a (not so) nearby hospital and I'm super excited! I even got to see some brand new babies in the nursery :cloud9: Training starts next week and I can't wait!

Did you meet with Betsy? She is great. Dena is ver nice too.

Just hanging low and trying to get out of my post Disney back in MI funk. I better work fast because I am hosting a play date over here tmw (and teaching sign language at it.) Then Saturday we are hosting a Chinese new year party here for my hospital play group. We still meet every moth or so. The kids are almost 6 years old now.

Those vaccinations must be tough (I hate taking the girls in for them).

Madeleine got RSV at about 4 months - and it was the never-ending cold. And snot. And coughing. (I think she and Jacob are almost the same age) and I would have taken the vaccine instead of this awful virus.

Calgon must have taken all the mommies away.
