Robin - YAY! I hope you'll be at the Lodge the same dates as we are! That would be convenient, huh? Our dates are now March 25-28, 3 nights instead of just 2. When I called on Tuesday I was able to add a night on to our ressie NO PROBLEM, so I am hoping that means it won't be too crowded that week too! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, we'll be moved over to SOG by then. :guilty: We are at WL the 19th-24th, and SOG the 24th-28th. But I'm *sure* we can still meet up somewhere, at least once, or twice, or more if we ending up liking each other in real life! :rotfl2: I'm still hoping for that drink the Sunday night, and lunch at RFC on Monday. Already have one gift card ordered for there. :thumbsup2

Kona just POOPED on her own! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Robin,

Yah! I love the Lodge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would say that is probably where we'll end up staying, too. It's just so cozy and perfect. All of the other resorts have their issues but WL seems to just get it right every time.

Are you getting any type of discounted package?

I still have to talk to Dh about all of our various plans for next year. We have already switched things around a million times. We cancelled our January trip and changed the room type on our May trip so we could use the money to go to the Keys instead.

Anywho, I can't wait to meet you and Loretta. :cool1:

SL,

I love all of your Christmas decorations.

YAY FOR KONA THE POOPER!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Here is our OFFICIAL WPASADI cheerleader- isn't she cute?

cheerfinal.gif

Yeah for Kona! I just had to laugh, I know it's a serious issue and you must be so relieved, but to open up the thread and see Kona pooped, made me laugh!

robin - your new plans sound great! DH would love to stay at the lodge too. Oh and if your mom is worried about eating on the dining plan I would recommend you guys share some meals. My mom and I shared frequently without issue and had plenty to eat.

sl - congrats on the shopping trip! Your decorations look great! I'm trying to find new stocking hangers this year, but don't know what to get.

justthat - how fun that Henry is on the move!

I can't decide if I'm working on Christmas cards or the calendar tonight. Maybe I should do neither and cuddle with DH on the couch!

night ladies!!

tamie

Hey ladies, I'm pages behind again. I need to go to sleep (thank goodness only one more day to get thru tomorrow), but I just wanted to post that I have a TMX Elmo for Jace!!! I've gotten word that a friend of mine has and extra and has offered it to me!! I'm so thrilled...there really is a santa!!

So, thank you to all have been keeping me on your TMX scouting list. I will continue to look on my end for DisKim and SL too. Perhaps by the holiday all of us here on the board will get all the gifts we are looking for - for our kids. This is quite a nice production we have going. A lot of eyes looking for that little giggler Elmo. :) Anyone looking for anything else they can't find? I'd be glad to look for you in my shopping travels.

I'll catch up with you all this weekend. Off to catch some ZZZZZs.

Alice- Molly is so cute! It looks like she loves her new stroller already. The dining plan sounds great, and I just love the WL!

Nucpharm- great news about the FF miles. It’s so much nicer to fly. I love driving, but for us it’s a 20-22 hour drive in each direction. DH and I drove it on our honeymoon, but I wouldn’t want to have to do it with kids.

Tykes- I’ll have to think about my favorite holiday recipe. I’d love to see everyone else’s recipes too. I’m such a foodie.

SL- Your tree looks beautiful :)

FF- I’m glad Kona is doing better!

Joats- Wow, another Elmo found! Jace is going to love him.

Thanks for all the support ladies. I’m proud to say that Flo came along this afternoon, a couple of hours after I posted. I knew it would happen that way. OK, time to get some more cross stitching done and check on Olivia.

Robin - I meant to comment on Molly's picture, I don't think she could be any cuter!!! Her smile is infectious.....love her!

FF - WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO Kona :cool1: I know the feeling FF, so I am relieved for her, no pun intended.

SL - Your tree and fireplace decorations are beautiful. I am jealous your are all up!

Gina - welcome to Aunt Flo. ;)

Sleep well everybody. Off to bed for me too. :wave2:

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post tonight - and probably not much posting this weekend either. I'm in my friend's wedding and it's kind of a whole weekend affair.

Alice - LOL at the picture of Molly in her stroller. I have to laugh everytime one of the kids smiles like that - they're such cuties!

Ginamarie - I have a friend (of a friend) who wanted to be a PT Lawyer after having her first child and it was almost impossible for her. Just like you mentioned in your earlier thread, some law firms want you to work 70+ hours if you're a FT associate, so I could imagine it being very hard to work PT. I'm sure there is something out there if you keep looking though. Good luck!

Tamie - I have a good recipe for Stuffing Balls

1 box Stove Top Stuffing for Pork
1 lb meatloaf mix (Ground Beef, Ground Pork)
1/2 stick of butter
1 cup of water
1-2 eggs
Cranberry sauce to taste

Brown meat in a pan and drain. Mix dry stuffing in a bowl with 1C of water and 1/2 a stick of melted butter. Stir stuffing mixture. Add Cranberry sauce or Cranberries to taste. Combine browned ground beef and stuffing mixture in a bowl. Add 1 or 2 eggs (2 if the eggs are small) and stir all of the ingredients until mixed. Shape mixture into small balls with your hands and place on a greased baking sheet. Cook for 25 minutes on 325.

Floridafam - So glad to hear that Kona pooped! I was also going to second the popcorn idea. Liam loves popcorn even though I worry about him choking on it. It definitely helps keep him regular!! - That and Oatmeal!

SL - Your tree and mantle look very nice. You have a beautiful home!

Loretta and Alice - Ugh - I miss you guys by two days. We're coming in on the evening of the 30th and staying until the 6th. Loretta - we don't have "pump it up" here but there are quite a few places that have similar things. The party we went to this weekend has an inflatable slide and an inflatable jumper, but the kids only got about 10-15 minutes in it total. The other 45 minutes was just running around through tubes or jumping in the ball pit. The inflatables are the best part! I bought a small inflatable, I think it's 8x8, and we use it at our house every so often.

Bellacam - Your birth announcements are very beautiful!

Nucpharm - wow! Another 8 miles! You rock!

Jill - WTG with finishing your paper. I'm sure you can't wait until Christmas so you can be away with your family and be done with school for the semester. You've worked so hard and deserve a nice long break!

Gotta run - goodnight ladies!

Okay, so you Gymbo addicts finally got to me! :lmao: How could I pass up additional 20% off sale prices and the other 20% coupon I got in the mail. Got Emma some jammies (xmas ones with puppy dog on them) and a red cardigan with bows on the sleeves and buttons to go over her xmas dress. Now another package for me to wait for--I'm also a postman stalker! :rotfl:

ff--so glad Kona pooped! :cool1: I've been there with Emma many times and it's not fun!

sl--Love the decorations! :thumbsup2

hillbeans--and then we'll miss you by 3 or 4 days at WDW too--just on the other end of the trip! Have fun at the wedding!

gina--Glad Aunt Flo stopped by for a visit--hey, and now you can have a "relative" free vacation w/o being prego! :rotfl:

joats--Congrats on The TMX! Sounds like our Dis kids are going to have great xmases--can't wait to see pics of the kids opening/playing with all their christmas treasures!

Well, now I really need to wrap some gifts. I ended up reading some of the Walt Disney book this afternoon, and caught a power nap as well. Have a wonderful night all! Chat tomorrow!

Hi, my name is Robin, and I am a crappy mother.

Sam has strep.

I took him to urgent care right when DH got home cause he just didn't look right. Sure enough, test came back positive. The Dr. we saw suggested if he gets it 1-2 more times this season, to talk with his regular doctor about getting his tonsils out. This is time #3 in about 4 - 5 months.

I feel so badly that I sent him to school today, and exposed his entire class, his lunchmates, the library teacher, etc. Sigh.

GM- YAY for Aunt Flo

Joats- YAY again for finding the Elmo!

Tamie- I like the Miracle Mile on Comcast, or anything that has Leslie Sansone as the instructor. Some are cheezy and old, but they are easy to follow and effective! I've lost 15 pounds this year just by doing her videos and not really watching my diet too closely.

Nuc- Gymbo sucked you in too, eh? I emailed them tonight as my order status has not changed and I'm getting po'ed. That stuff I am upset about was the stuff for Gems.

Z- glad Molly could give you a smile. how is your dad? We have one of those inflatable places here- it's pretty neat!

I have some good holiday cookie recipes, but I will have to post tomorrow. I am so darn tired. We have a dinner date tomorrow with some friends- I so want to beg off, but I don't think we've gone out with them since, geez, before Bob went to Iraq? I mean, we've seen them, but not a dinner date. This is mom and dad of little 50 month old poopie pants. ;)

I hope to dream of the lodge tonight!

Recipes

Holiday Pretzels

8 squares (1 ounce each) baking chocolate
1 package (10 ounces) pretzel rods- I buy them at Kroger
colored candy sprinkles

Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat until melted. Dip each pretzel rod about halfway down into chocolate. Coat chocolate end of pretzel with candy sprinkles. Place pretzels on waxed paper to dry.

Holiday Mints

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons milk
1 15 oz box white frosting mix (not the frosting in a can- I use 2 small boxes of Jiffy frosting mix)
red and/or green food coloring
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Place butter and milk in a 2 quart microwave proof bowl. Cook on high for 45 seconds, or until the butter is melted. Stir in frosting mix. Cook on high for 1 1/2—2 minutes, or until slightly bubbly. Stir twice during cooking. Stir in desired food coloring. Add peppermint extract. Drop mixture by teaspoons onto waxed paper. When cool, store in an airtight container.

Candy Coated Pecans

1 egg white
1 dash vanilla extract
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
4 cups pecans

Preheat oven to 275 F (135 C). Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.Spray the wax paper with cooking spray. In a bowl, beat egg white until stiff. Add brown sugar and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth. Mix in pecans and stir until coated. Pour the nuts onto the cookie sheet. Bake until brown (approximately 10-15 minutes).

Enjoy!

Robin- Have you changed Sam's toothbrush? My nephew just had strep, and his Dr said to change his brush so he wouldn't reinfect himself.

Yep. we change the toothbrushes every time after an illness, or every other month if no illnesses. Plus the last time he had it was in August, so I know it's a new infection from a new source. I just feel guilty I sent him off to school, but he should have gone to the office if he didn't feel well....silly boy!

That reminds me, I need to call the dentist for him tomorrow!

Morning ladies. :surfweb: This is me...but I'm drinking water. I am tired. I am also pi$$ed at my husband. He had to follow his dad to the Jeep dealership last night so FIL could drop off his vehicle. He said he'd stop at Wendy's and bring me a big bacon cheeseburger. Well, he never called (like I asked him to do). When he finally got home, my burger had MAYO and onions on it. I HATE MAYO. He knows this. I have never eaten a sandwich with mayo on it in our entire relationship. To top it off, he doesn't get me a side salad (like I wanted) and buys himself 2 chilies and and iced tea. So I got nothing. I was wicked last night. You don't promise a pregnant woman greasy fast food and then screw up the order.

I know I sound like a witch, but I ended up with a bagel for dinner. He wanted to get me something else, but the stubborn person that I am refused.
I'm still mad at him and my tummy is growling.

I'll try to catch up with you all later. I have to refill my water bottle.

TGIF!! It's raining here in the northeast, but at least it's warm. We've had pretty mild weather so far and I hope we don't get slammed with winter and 3 feet of snow next month.

lissawynn - I feel for you. I don't like onions or ketchup and I know DH orders my food without, but he ALWAYS forgets to check it before leaving the drive thru. :furious:

Alice28 - Noooooooooooooo! At least the strep is now and not for Christmas. I hope YOU don't get it this time around.

J&D - I'm looking for a non-cookie dessert to bring to my mom's fake Christmas Eve. That pretzel recipe of yours looks pretty good.

nucpharm - WTG on the Gymbo order.

ginamarie - :woohoo: Glad Aunt Flo paid you a visit.

hillbeans - Have a good time at the wedding this weekend.

joats - Congrats on the Elmo! :yay:

floridafam - Yay for Kona!

Hi to all the moms I missed. :wave2: Anyone have any weekend plans? We have my friend's DS's bday party tomorrow (he's 2) and we might go to the mall just to walk around and eat at the food court tonight.

I hope to catch up more later. A couple quick items.

DD has an ear infection, along with possible sore throat and is on antibiotics.

It's snowing here, but not the blizzard Milwaukee is getting. But enough to make goijng to school this a.m. a hassle.

I saw the atty. this week.

Yesterday I got a surprise visit from someone who apparently has been "with" dh for the past 14 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Leif is 15 months today). I had a neighbor friend spend the night with me last night -- a few ladies had come over to help me in the late afternoon/evening.

I am borrowing a friend's car today to take dd to school and pick her up and run a couple errands (as I still don't have a car).

Joats - thank you so much for the Christmas gift card. YOu are so kind and thoughtful and it will be put towards good use (I'll have to think about it first though :goodvibes )

Bellacam - love the sig pics & the announcement. Sorry you are still sore.

All you other gals :wave2: Thank you for the prayers and good vibes, I do need them!

GLT - Forgive me if I'm being bold, but was this person a woman that your husband has been seeing for the past 14 months?

GLT,

:guilty: I'm so sorry. I would be livid!!!!!!!! PLEASE let us know if we can do anything.

When you say "been" do you mean it the way I think you mean it? You need to take care of yourself and make sure you are healthy. We are all here for you.

:grouphug: :grouphug:

glt - I was just going to ask the same question as lissawynn and floridafam...I would be breathing fire!

:grouphug: :grouphug: To you. I hope DD feels better soon. :guilty:

GLT I'm so sorry this is happening to you. It's bad enough that you have to go through all of this but then to be kicked while you're down so to speak is just horrible. Please let us know if there's anything you need or anything we can help with. I hope Lindsey is feeling better soon too.

glt--You are definitely in my thoughts today. How awful for you! :grouphug: Like everyone else mentioned, if there is anything we can do, let us know. So glad that you have a car to use during the snow. Hope Lindsay is better soon!

SL--our big plans for the weekend includes, for the most part, Emma's bday party at Chuck E Cheese tomorrow afternoon. We are going out for pizza tonight and opening gifts from family also. Sort of a family party before the kids thing tomorrow. I"m not hauling all these gifts to Chuck E's just to bring them home again. Then DH starts working night shifts tomorrow night after the party, so we'll not be seeing him for a least a week or so.

I hate DH working nights, b/c he's gone all night, a little freaky for me, and then we have to try to be quiet all day so he can sleep. Stresses me out!

WEll, I better go. Babysitting today, baby's napping right now. But Matthew is awfully crabby today!
