OMG, I missed a day and a half and Im like 5 pages behind. Ill do the best I can here.
Tasha- I get all cheesy lovey over Olivia sometimes too, especially when I havent seen her all day. I hope your instructor sticks around.
Justhat- Thats pretty funny that you can still supersize things but that they took it off the menu! Ill have to keep that in mind when Im stuck going there with the kids. It sounds like Madison is one of those kids who never forgets things. My BIL is like that, so Im always careful what I say around him.. otherwise hell remind us about it for months. I love that picture of Madison holding Henry!
BNB- I completely agree with your take on the new kids menus. Really, shouldnt we be the ones to decide whats best for our kids to eat? I think that theyll probably get negative feedback and have to agree on a happy medium for the meals. We all seem to agree on the issue here on this thread, and I think were pretty much the key demographic on whos deciding what to feed kids at WDW!
FloridaFam- I know exactly what feeling youre talking about with your DHs co-worker. I had that feeling about a girl, and of course she DID come onto my DH after awhile. It was a complete I told you so moment, since my DH is dumb as rocks as far as a girl being interested in him. He wound up having a chat with her and she knocked it off. I would say something to your DH and tell him to look out for it and be careful what he says to her.
Zalansky- Sorry youre having trouble with Connors potty training

I was going to suggest a package of wipes too.
Val- I hope your grandfather feels better.
GLT- I kept thinking about you while I was at the game! Yes, I had a hot dog. A $4.75 hot dog. It was tasty though, and EXTRA tasty because they were winning!
Fabumouse- I wish I could get some of these doctors I need affidavits from to be afraid of me!
Alice- I slip a lot with freakin too, except with the NY accent it comes out more like freggin. I hope you start feeling better! I havent watched Lost yet, but it freaks me out with almost every episode. DH said that the ratings are going down because they keep raising more questions and not answering any, but Im just fascinated with trying to figure things out.
Im totally with you about being glad your DH is back in the US. One of my dearest friends did THREE tours in Iraq, and I had weeks when I was worried sick about him. Hes no longer in the armed forces now, and while Im really proud of his service, Im also really glad hes home.
Id love the link for those coupons!
Tykes- Have fun at the scrapbook retreat. I really wish they had something like that around here.
DisKim- Ill keep my fingers crossed about your DHs job opportunity.
Staci- Cute picture, and thanks for the intro!
OK, well the game was GREAT! It was like bedlam trying to get there. DH insisted that I take the train instead of driving, which, in theory sounded like a good idea. All the LIRR trains were running slowly because of some fire department activity around Penn Station. I have never been packed into a train car like I was last night on the way to the game. DH and I sat about half a dozen rows apart, just glad to have seats. However, the woman standing in the aisle was sooo close to me, that if I turned my head to my left my face would be IN a certain intimate area of hers. Blech! I leaned in very close to the guy next to me on the other side, and hoped he didnt get the wrong idea.
When we got to the stadium, we were starving, so went in search of hot dogs. All the stands were OUT of hot dogs. We finally found a couple, spent a fortune on them, and headed to our seats. We were out by the foul pole in left field in the mezzanine (green section). Ive never sat in that area before. It was pretty good, but very hard to judge any balls hit into left field. A friend of mine called me to gloat that he was at the game, but we cracked up when we realized we were both there and waved at each other from across the stadium.
The energy in that place was awesome, and everyone sang chants together. It might have turned a little ugly if we were losing, but luckily it didnt come to that. I was so worried that they were going to lose their lead though. I finally started to get excited in the ninth inning and of course thats when St. Louis scored a couple of runs. Everyone was happy as they left the stadium, and we snuck over to see the post-show getting tapes while we were walking past.
The way home was a disaster though. Everyone was trying to get on the same two trains out of Shea. We wound up in a hole in the schedule and had to wait 40 minutes for a train in Woodside. I couldnt believe DH talked me into taking the train when we wasted so much time with those trains. Of course there were no seats, so Im sitting on the dirty ground, shaking my head, and DH spent ten minutes acting like a 5 year old before he admitted that driving would have saved us a lot of time. He may not think things all the way through sometimes, but hes so cute that I cant stay mad at him
like when he was shouting out at the field give him some of that CHIN MUSIC! Only my husband gets all exciting about chin music.
So yeah, we picked up Olivia from my MILs house and didnt get home until close to 2 am. It was well worth it though. DH was in his glory all night (sans the train station fiasco) and we actually had some alone time!
I was dragging all day today, since I had to trek into Brooklyn this morning for a will execution. DH is at an Islanders game tonight, and Im just hoping that he can make it home safely with TWO late nights in a row like this. A friend of mine is coming over to see the rest of the Mets game with me. Its tied now. Gooooo Mets!
