GLT, if that Calgon thing works, let me know. ;) Sorry that you're having a stressed day. :grouphug:

Alice28, I actually thought of your Sharpie couch when I was cleaning the sunblock and that was what reminded me to take a picture of it. Of course, moments after I typed my last post I was on the phone with my husband and Madison snagged a bottle of baby lotion and rubbed it all over the kitchen floor (which is non-polyurethaned hardwood). If I thought I could make some money selling her on the black market she'd be listed in a minute! ;)

Lissawynn, sorry to hear about your friend. I think that's terrible that they make you deliver the baby like that, but that happened to my cousin too. She lost a baby in August 2004 at 21 weeks. She was devastated and having to go through a delivery made it worse.

Glad to hear you got your exchange package! I hope those shirts fit Jimmy-they only had 24 months and 3T. The saleswoman told me 24 months was the same as 2T and that's why there were no 2Ts but who knows if that's true. The sayings on them seemed very appropriate given your descriptions of him!

Floridafam, yes, we'll be at Vero the 5-7 and we did end up renting points. We have an ocean view inn room reserved.

Well I thought I had more time but the mac and cheese is done already so time to eat. I'm such a creative chef, mac and cheese and Elmo green beans! :lmao:

Robin – Did you know that Kohler is the town just five miles from us? Your faucet was made in my neck of the woods – hope you enjoy it!

Yes, I’ll be okay. These past few weeks have been rough. And today I’ve had Leif following me around the house crying, had to take DD to the dentist where she screamed and cried (she had to get fillings inbetween her teeth (who knew you had to floss a 4/5 year old?). And then there is Laine with the never ending questions, comments, etc. And them blasting the TV and the phone calling about stupid medical bills the kids undoing absolutely anything and everything I clean up, the dog barking loudly at me (no idea why), my package that wasn’t picked up by the post office, even though I put in a request, and the list goes on…..it’s life, it could be worse, and it will get better (right?).

Diskim – prayers to you and your family, hope your aunt is feeling better soon.
Diskim –sorry you lost your post, I’m actually writing this one in Word, we’ll see how it works, of course its partially because I only get 2 minutes to DIS at a time

Tamie – I didn’t think to get any ornaments the last time I went, next time for sure!!

Lissawynn – how’d the dr appt. go?

Bnb – nice that dh was folding laundry. My dh seems to be MIA a lot lately, could be reason for my ready to scream. Glad even though you didn’t get a full break that you got some help today.

Zalansky – how I wish there was a Yankee candle nearby, that’d be a deal!

Justhat – glad you survived the trip okay. Your heart must have dropped when you saw Madison in the pool. I’m glad she’s okay! WOW, Madison really gave you a run today…she must be in that “mommy better watch me every moment” mode. So sorry about all your clean-ups today. Good luck with the shoes, maybe a dry cleaner can help? Just recite with me, “this too shall pass, this too shall pass, this too shall pass…”

Ff – it’s nice to get friendly packages, sorry the dvc one isn’t something you can use though. If you get clued in on the pumpkin thing, let me know. . .

Fabumouse, good luck with the rodent…maybe the humane society?

Ryan – may your family find peace and togetherness during this time of difficulty

OK, I just read a list of the movies playing at our local theatre, I’ve heard of a whole one of them – I think that means I’m out of touch with the adult world. Wow I need some adult time!

I’m gonna post this while I can. The kids are halfway quiet so I’m gonna finish cleaning up the kitchen and get the troops ready for swim class. Wish me luck!

ETA - did I say quiet, here is Leif rolling at the floor by my feet crying, maybe if the child would nap . . ..

On the topic of coupons- anyone here want these?

$5 off an online order of $25 from Coldwater Creek

Free choice of signature collection with purchase of $10 from Bath & Body Works (basically a free lotion or shower gel!)

Picture People= Free 8x10 or 10x13 PLUS 25% off add'l portrait purchase OR Buy 3 poses, get 2 free.

I like the picture people coupon, but since I just spent $75 at Flash, no more pics this year.

PM me if you want them (and are a regular poster on the Moms board please!) and I will mail them out to you.

I also got a coupon for our local little gifty pharmacy place- celebrate my half birthday and get 20% off my purchase! They have the neatest holiday items and Vera Bradley, Yankee, Dept 56, etc. I think I may have to do a little Christmas shopping! Hey lissawynn, if there is a VB bag you are hankering for, maybe I can get it for you at 20% off? They don't have a HUGE selection, but a decent one. Just a thought. And hey, I just remembered they are where I bought my Crocs! I should get another pair!

Today was certainly coupon day here in my household.

The faucet looks so nice! I'm quite pleased even though I spent $100 more than I thought I would. That's always the way it is though.

Justhat- oh no that Madison now dumped baby lotion! My kids are awful about dumping out bottles of bubble bath or shampoo while they are bathing. While it's not a big mess it irritates me to see money go down the drain like that! One time they did it with a $15 bottle of my shampoo and they got in big trouble for that one!

hiya- Carson has pretty much slept the entire day away - I'd say he reversed the awake-all-day trend for sure. Hoping I don't pay for it tonight!!! Well, fingers crossed, please, for DH tomorrow. His boss-boss is coming in and wants to meet with him and the HR person. He did tell DH "don't worry about anything - we're just discussing opportunities", so I'm seriously hoping that's a good thing and not a scary one!

justhat - Oh my, what a day! Welcome home, huh? I don't know about that shoe - I know my Dsis had salad dressing poured all over her suede shoe once and it was a loss. :guilty: Hope the kiddos go right to sleep for you tonight and you can have a break. And Miss Madison knows how to order her dinner, doesn't she? ;) That is too funny!

GLT - Hope your evening is an improvement over your crazy day! It gets wild sometimes, doesn't it? If it makes you feel any better, I couldn't even tell you ONE movie at the theatre. I just use Netflix for the girls to catch up and DH tells me what he wants to see...only occasionally do we get to the theatre and then it's usually a family film. Bundle up tomorrow - the temp is dropping like crazy here!

Alice28 - Glad you got that faucet and very happy for you that your nice dad was there to install it for you! DH's dad used to do that stuff for us, but now we're on our own since he's so far away! Sorry Sam is so sad about the kitty - that's too bad.

BuzznBelle - sorry your day off wasn't really so "off". Let us know how your yummy dinners are!

Well, gotta run pick up Hayley at piano and pick up burgers for dinner. Noone wanted my choices of sausage and pasta or cheeseburger macaroni.

It sounds like today was just one of "those" days for a lot of us.

Here it was just constant small annoyances. Including one of the kind that I hate - I either take route A) and feel like a wimpy push-over for days, or I take route B) and feel like the most self-centered person on the planet.

Because I have the baby with me, I try to arrive 15 minutes early for pickup which puts me right in front of the doors where Kailey gets out. Today a woman pulled up next to me about 15 seconds before the kids were about to be let out. She didn't ask but said "you have room, pull up so I can get behind you". I did and while I was getting out of the car, it looked like she had enough room so I shut my door, and she said "you have more room". I said "my daughter's coming out" and left.

If she wanted the spot, she should have arrived earlier. I had 2 kids to pick up (playdate today) who were walking out of the door, and a baby in the car. On the other hand, I *could* have pulled up more, I'm just a terrible judge of distance when I'm in the car. It was a really tight squeeze for her and that woman is going to hate me for the next 10 years.

Justhat - I'm so sorry! Kailey did two things that made me come close to losing it - she poured all the dirt from this huge plant in her room (that she had always completely ignored) into a corner of her room - including a lamp, the air conditioner and the carpteting. I had just spent the entire day cleaning for the holidays and I was very very unhappy. The other thing she did was shove toilet paper into the sink in the bathroom and then leave the faucet on. It flooded the sink and she left (coward!) and the water went through the floor and ruined the dining room ceiling below.

Kids will push ALL the buttons.

Robin - thanks for the support. I wouldn't do it if she wasn't sick (or completely destroying my house, as in your case  ) but since the vet doesn't know what to do with her, it seems rather cruel to just let her get worse and worse until she dies. And gross. What did you say to your vet to get it done?

GLT - I had NO IDEA I'm supposed to floss Kailey's teeth! The dentist just keeps telling me they look fine. :confused3

And what is IT with kids who are miserable because they're so tired, but they won't sleep. I have an obvious solution children!!!

Dizagain - good luck to your DH tomorrow! :thumbsup2

:moped:

Ryan: :grouphug: Your Grandma sounds like she was an amazing woman!

DisKim: :wizard: For your Aunt. How stressful this has been for all of you with the ups and downs. I hope all will be well for her soon.

GLT & Justhat :grouphug: You guys sound like you could use a hug!

Robin: Sorry to hear about =^..^=

Tamie: I never listed my attraction: Goofy's Barnstormer...It's a must for DH and I, we also love Tom Sawyer Island for exploring. As far as my souvenier....JACE!!! LOL!! He was the best thing we've brought home from WDW. I also love ornaments (aren't they great Dizagain - I love pulling them out and thinking back to a trip), magnets and nightshirts.

FF: DId you get the BOO to work yet? I saved mine to my desktop then uploaded it using photobucket. I don't know if there is an easier way, but that's what I did.

Gems: thanks for the PM..I replied back. Count me in for the exchange :woohoo: !

Hello to all the other moms: Jill, Zalansky, Hillbeans, Fabumouse, BNB, Val, Lissawyn, Bellacam, DisneyPhD, J&D, etc.

I had a crappy day today at work and now I am so itchy I can't stand it. I must have had some kind of reaction, but my legs, scalp, face, and stomach itch like crazy. I have a bit of a blotchy rash on my stomach and hives on my face. I've had a bad headache too all day. I'm headed up to take some of Jace's Benadryl. I just can't figure out what it is...I didn't have anything out of the ordinary to eat or use anything new. Very strange!! I wore new shoes today, but that's about it...I don't think it's from them :rotfl: .

Well, it's LOST night to all my Lost friends. I can't wait!! I hope to get more questions answered, but have a feeling I'll just end up with more questions. Hey, did anyone check out "the nine" aftewards? I TIVOed it and just watched it last night. It's really good!!

Tomorrow is my  Anniversary. DH and I are going out for dinner this Saturday night to celebrate. DH's sister is going to watch Jace (watch him sleep :lmao: ). I'm looking forward to a dinner together maybe we'll even catch a movie too! I miss being able to go out together more often.

Argh! I'm so itchy!!! Gotta go take something.
:)

ETA: Fabumouse: You must have posted while I was. Sorry about your run in with the woman. If she was so concerned about it, I agree, get there earlier!! :grouphug: for you too.

justthat - OH NO! What a stinker!! I did have to laugh at the dinner request though! I hope you find a good deal on new shoes :(

fabumouse - Oh well, that woman will just have to live with you being so rude ;) lol.

diz - The days when Tyler would sleep a lot during the day were actually the nights he would sleep pretty well too. Who knows, maybe it will be a good night for you! Crossing my fingers.

glt - Sorry you had a crazy day too. Thanks for the heads up on the flossing. I'll have to remember that.

z and ff - Sorry the print wasn't what you all hoped it would be. Good luck on ebay!

bnb - I hope your meals are yummy!

We had a few snowflakes today, nothing stuck to the ground though. DH and Tyler are just coming in from playing. We had to put Tyler's winter coat and hat on him already. sigh

Loretta- I never answered your question about the Little People family in Oregon. I looked up them on their website (hadn't seen the show) and they are in Hillsboro OR, which is kind of the suburb opposite of us when you look at a map of Portland. (NW where we are more S or SE). That's cool that there is an Oregonian show on air......Portland is kind of a west coast city that gets ignored over Seattle, San Francisco, LA and San Diego.

GLT- I didn't even realize Kohler was American made! I assumed it was European based on the name- proud to support an American made product from your home state!

I'm sorry you have had such a crapiola day. Tell your DH to get his butt home and help out! ;)

Fab- The first vet we called was entirely unsympathetic and snippy with us when we told her our problem and what we wished to do. Made me feel like a horrible person (our cat was about 8 or so when this was going on- so not a youngling anymore, but not at death's door either). The second vet was more sympathetic to our situation, and basically just told us how much they charged to put cats down. Not to sound like a cold-hearted "B" but exactly how much money are you supposed to invest in a guinea pig to keep them healthy? :confused3 I wouldn't think much. How long do they typically live? Could the pet be near it's time anyway?

Joats- I agree, you got a GREAT souvenir from WDW! I'm sorry you are so itchy- I wonder what it is? I am anxious for Lost too!

Diz- Pixie dust and well wishes for your DH! :wizard: :wizard: Hope it's good news!

OK, I have been on here entirely too often today. Time to go do something else. :rolleyes1

Good evening ladies! :goodvibes

It was a crazy day here too, but I'm too tired to get into all the crazy things going on here in my house.

So much to catch up on here! Thanks to Tasha and Zalansky for Boo’ing me! I need to put the pumpkin in my signature!

Floridafam and Zalansky – I leave for WDW on December 19th and leave to go home on the 27th. Floridafam, it looks like I will miss you by one day….that is a bummer! Your dh is a sweetie for taking you to WDW on your birthday!

Justhat – I’m so sorry that Madison dumped the sunscreen and ruined your shoes! I have no idea how to get sunscreen off the floor or shoes either. Madison sounds like your typical two year old who is very inquisitive. ;)

We went to Cox Farms on Monday and it was mobbed! We always love the hayride and get a kick out of all of the Disney characters littered throughout the ride. BTW, they have a fun new slide this year. Does Madison like slides? Before I forget, we will be in WDW at the same time!

Lissawynn – How did your doctor’s appointment go?

Ryan – I’m so sorry for your loss. :grouphug: :grouphug: Your grandmother sounds like a special lady. It is so hard to lose our loved ones.

BNBmom – I’m glad that you looked the cooking place! I try to go to our dinner prep place once a month and it is a life saver. I hope that your food is yummy!

Robin – Awww……I’m sorry that your kitty is missing. :grouphug: How is Molly’s eye doing?

GLT – I’m sorry that today has been so tough for you! :grouphug: Hang in there and know that we all love ya! Sending you warm wishes that tomorrow is a better day.

PoohAngel – Welcome to the new mom thread! :cheer2: :cheer2: As you probably already know this thread moves fast, but there are a bunch of wonderful moms here!

DisKim – Prayers being said for your Aunt! :grouphug:

Tamie – I love the new picture of Tyler! I think my favorite Disney souvenir is a Christmas ornament.

Nucpharm – How did your get together with your friends go today? No, we don’t have any big plans for John’s first birthday. I think we are going to do just a small family party. I feel like a terrible mother since school is taking up so much time and I haven’t had a chance to do much planning yet.

Dizagain – Holy Moly, you all are getting cold weather there! I’m glad to hear that Carson got some sleep yesterday. Crossing my fingers for you that he sleeps tonight!

Ginamarie – Sorry to hear that work is rough this week!

J&D – I hope that your computer gets fixed soon!

Fabumouse – good luck with the guinea pig situation! I'm sure that lady won't hate you for squeezing into a space. I would have done the same thing you did.

Val – How are you doing? I loved your pictures from Disney!

Tasha – How is school going?

Hillbeans – How did your 5K walk go? Too funny about Kevin kicking you off the computer to play a game. Oh and count me in for the mom’s meet in ’08. I will be graduating a few months before the meet and I told my dh that the mom’s meet is my graduation present!

Gems – Good luck with the c-section! I’m the poster child for a tough c-section recovery, but I had a hard time recovering from Meagan’s delivery (bad tear) so I’m not the best person to talk to. Zalansky is right though, with the c-section you get good painkillers! :thumbsup2

I hope that SL is having an amazing WDW trip! :wizard:

Hi to Joats, Bellacam, Cabmom, Gretchen and all the moms! :wave2:

I’m frustrated with school at the moment b/c I am supposed to be placed in a local elementary school to put in my ‘observation hours’. Here it is six weeks into the semester and I still don’t have my placement. :sad2: I’ll be scurrying around and very pressed for time if they don’t hurry up. Very annoying.

Thanks for the well wishes for my mother. My mom still can’t walk at all and they think it might be a pinched nerve or something with her tendon. She goes back to the doctor on Friday and I hope they can figure out what is going on. She is going crazy being immobile. My sister had to have some ‘procedure’ done on her upper GI today. They think she has Crohn’s disease or celiac (sp?) disease. She had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago and nothing was conclusive. I’m worried about her since she must weigh all of 98 pounds at the moment.

Everyone have a great evening!

I missed a few posts!

Joats - Sorry to hear that you are itchy! Have a wonderful anniversary!

Tamie - Snowflakes.....ay yi yi!! I'm so not ready for winter!

Hi ladies! We're back! We had a wonderful trip and Lucas was on his best behavior. 10 days is a long time to be gone and I'm sad it's over but kind of glad to be home. I've browsed through the TWENTY pages I missed.

I fell in love with the Boardwalk. I'm an Epcot lover and and was in heaven being just a short walk away. As much as I love POFQ, I wish we had stayed there first, then finished up at BWI instead of the other way around. As it was, we had to do BWI first because of cast member availability and rate changes. Going from a deluxe to a moderate is kind of a bummer.

I'm going to try to give a quick synopsis of our trip, but I do hope to write an official trip report in the next week or so. We had meals at (in no particular order) Crystal Palace (hated it), Chef Mickey's (loved it), 1900 Park Fair (liked it), Le Cellier (loved it), ESPN Club (hated it), 'Ohana (loved it), Sci Fi (liked it) and had various other food court and counter service meals. We cancelled our Fantasmic dinner package at the Brown Derby because Lucas made it perfectly clear to us that he would not be up for a show like Fantasmic and since we cancelled right at the cut off, we lost the dinner spot too. Oh, well. Maybe next time.

Lucas was pretty good with the characters once he warmed up to them. We even got to see the Little Einsteins at MNSSHP. Speaking of MNSSHP, I wasn't too thrilled with it. There were wall to wall people and we didn't get to do much because Lucas is so young. Plus, he fell asleep as soon as we got there. I don't think I'll do it again until he's old enough to appreciate it because I certainly won't be doing it again for me.

We went on quite a few rides with Lucas and he seemed kind of indifferent to them. He tolerated them well enough, but he really just wanted to be let loose. Naturally, he loved the play areas where he could run around as much as he wanted. We also intimately know all the Baby Care Centers. A great resource! :thumbsup2

DH and I got to ride Soarin (used the baby swap) and Tower of Terror (we met up with DH's relatives and they watched Lucas) and that was it for the "grown up" rides for me. I wouldn't have minded going on more but I hate that it takes to long for 2 people to ride separately so I gave up my turn. DH went on more rides while I sat with Lucas. DH's relatives were only there for 2 days and we drove to Tampa for one of them. We also missed Expedition Everest because they ran out of fast passes and there was no way we were waiting an hour to ride. We only sceduled one day at AK and we decided not to go back. DH and I also got to try segways at Innoventions. I really want to do the segway tour of the World Showcase one of these years.

sl - Welcome back!!! Great pictures. I love the Mickey ears. The LeCellier picture is adorable. Sorry to hear the halloween party was so crowded.

I have to ask you because our kids are close in age and you just got back. Do you think one of those harness (aka leashes) would have enabled Lucas to run around more? I'm really worried that I'll have a super antsy kid on my hands who is sick of sitting in the stroller all day. I can't exactly let him run free in the parks.

joats - Happy Anniversary!!! Sorry to hear you're itchy, weird!! I hope the benadryl helps.

jill - Sorry to hear your mom still isn't doing very well. Your poor sister, how scary.

I'm sooooo dissapointed with Dancing with the Stars. I guess I should have voted if I cared that much, but I'm really suprised!!!

gotta run - dh needs the computer.

Gross! I just realized how nasty that cut up meat looks in that last picture. Sorry I subjected you all to that sight.

tkyes - As a matter of fact, DH and I were commenting that having one of those harnesses would have been wonderful. I noticed a couple kids wearing the kind that look like a monkey backpack and the tail is the "leash". I wish we had gotten one. I know I'm kind of paranoid, but I really didn't want Lucas running around in an area without borders so the only places we really let him loose were at the resorts and baby centers and also at the play areas at MK (Pooh's playful spot - I think that's the name - and the area by Splash Mtn when DH was riding it.) I think we may look into getting one for our next trip.

joats - Happy Anniversary!

Happy Birthday to all the moms whose birthdays I missed! I hope they were great!

I have to agree that it just must have been one of those days with the Dis kids--Emma went from devil to angel and back again. At least both kids are now asleep and I can get ready to watch part one of the Project Runway season finale! Go Michael!!! :cool1:

SL--great pics! I love the my first disney trip shirt!

GLT--sorry to hear that you had such a cruddy day! Hugs to you! DH is actually up in Appleton this week and he called me today to let me know it was snowing up there--Too bad for him it was in the 70s today--but unfortunately that arctic blast is coming our way tonight--in the 50s tomorrow and raining! Yuck!

Jill--sorry to hear that school is giving you the run around about your school placement. Hope it gets resolved soon. Prayers and PD for your mom and sister.

justhat--how awful about the sunblock! Don't you love the two's??? I thought the closer I got to three with Emma that the better her behaviour would be--fat chance!

joats--hope you start to feel better soon. The "itch-ies" are the worst. I'm allergic to something and I won't go do the allergy testing to figure out what it is--but whatever the culprit every few years I break out in these awful hives and swell like a blowfish! Now that I think of it, last time was Easter vacation 5 years ago and I ended up in the ER in Sarasota, FL b/c my mouth started swelling--the ER doc. thought he was so funny-he goes "Don't women pay lots of money for big, plump lips like these??" Yeah, really funny.

Guess I'll jump off here and grab my ice cream and hop into bed to watch some of the **** tube! Catch you ladies tomorrow!

Ryan- I’m so sorry about the loss of your grandmother. It sounds like she’s in a better place now though.

Justhat- Looks like our December WDW trips are going to overlap. I’ll be there the 9th-19th. YAY for Henry sleeping the whole night. I’m glad Madison was ok! I’d have freaked out. Sorry about the shoe incident. Kids do such strange things at that age.

FloridaFam- It’s scary to think you really don’t know what your neighbors are doing behind closed doors right?

Tykes- My favorite souvenirs are probably a pin from each year we go and a scrapbook I get for each trip.

GLT- Sorry you’re having a rough time lately.

Joats- Happy Anniversary!

Fabumouse- Sorry I’m no help with the guinea pig situation.

SL- Great pictures! Lucas is too cute. I love the shirt you made him!

We lost power for awhile tonight. I realized the house is really creepy when there’s no electric or phone lines. Olivia just fell asleep in her daddy’s arms. Too cute!

Coupons - while sharing, I have a 15% off code for children's place, if interested.

GM - I'm ssoooooo disappointed, the Mets game isn't on here, its the American League game, don't really care about that one, bummer!

SL - Thanks for sharing some of your trip and pics! Makes me feel like I was just there :goodvibes Love the shirt you made, you look great btw! What a beautiful family you have.

nucpharm - yeah, they are threatening snow tomorrow and I have to go with DS on his school's field trip to the pumpkin farm. That reminds me, I need to go look for gloves --- ick.

Tamie - as you can see in my post to nucpharm, we are expecting some snow here and cold temps, so NOT ready for that, especially since the weekend was so gorgous. We too had to break out the winter coats this evening.

Robin - sorry about the cat.

justhat - hope you are having a nicer evening and the kids are sleeping for you

jill -sorry about your mom and sisters. Prayers that they are okay. Hang in there with school and such. YOu have a lot on your plate right now. John will still love you, even if he doesn't have a big b'day bash!

joats - love the cat symbol! Sorry about the hives. Not cool. I hope you are better by tomorrow. Have a nice anniversary dinner tomorrow!

fabumouse - I'm impressed you moved the car at all. That other lady was just out of luck. I hope the play date went well.

bnb, bellacam, val, gems, gretchen, ryan & everyone else I'm missing - hello. Have a great night. May tomorrow be a wonderful day for DIS moms and kids!

Jill- I am so sorry about your mom- I hope the doctors can figure out what the heck is going on with her leg! A very good friend of mine has Crohn's Disease- it is not good. I think after they took out some of her intestine, she did better. I've kind of lost touch with her the last few years, but she has several bouts in the hospital when we were buddies. :guilty: I hope your sister does not have that.

SL! I love those pictures! I really like the one of the 3 of you in AK. And, I was hungry while looking at your pictures, I thought, "Wow, that looked like a good piece of steak!" :rotfl: :rotfl: So, I wasn't grossed out at all!

I too hate the time baby swap takes up. I am hoping DH and I can make it work for TOT, EE, Soarin, Splash and BTMRR. The other E tickets I can live without. He said at least one afternoon he will do Molly duty so I can take the boys back over to MK for some rides.

Tamie- Uh-oh, I'm nervous now about Dancing with the Stars. I only really watched it last night- the last few weeks I kept forgetting about it and only catching snippets. I loved Emmitt's Cha Cha dance last night; I think I am partial to him because I think Cheryl is phenominal.

Joats- I meant to wish you a Happy Anniversary! :cloud9:

Sorry for the nasty weather some of you are already having! That's no fun so early in the season.

Nucpharm- enjoy your ice cream and TV time! I can't wait for another 30 minutes to pass so I can put my kids to bed. Soccer practice totally drained me (Molly would NOT SIT STILL! I even had the forethought to bring the stupid portable DVD player and a Wiggles DVD and she wanted nothing to do with it).....I told DH he has GOT to make an effort to get home by 6 on M and Ws.....it's too much.

GLT- have a good time at the P-Patch tomorrow!

OK, I'm off to get the boys in the shower! G'night and 'see' you all tomorrow!

Welcome back, SL! I love all the pics! Dh and I were just talking about the harness thing the other day. Kylie was very easy on our trip on her b-day but she didn't start walking until a couple weeks after we got home. Now she would probably be a nightmare to take at this age. She is a nightmare in the grocery store these days. She wants to get down and run all over the store and she doesn't want to hold my hand. I can't let her do that of course so she throws a temper tantrum when I make her either hold my hand or sit in the cart. WDW would not be fun for us right now I don't think. So dh and I were thinking if we do go this Spring that we may need to get a harness. Kylie is very strong-willed and independent and I know that isn't likely to change anytime soon. I have actually thought about not going next year afterall for numerous reasons. But I am very nervous of the idea of taking Kylie when she's 2. She was so easy on this last trip but she wasn't really a toddler yet. Dh and I will really have to talk but I am thinking of going with the original plan and doing St. Augustine instead. It's cheaper, more laid-back, and she can run around more freely. I just don't know. I know dh is leaning towards Disney and I really want to stay at POFQ but I don't know if doing it next year is really a good idea or not. We'll see.

Anyway, I think you look great and I love the last pic with you and Lucas! I was a bit taken aback though. Lucas has grown so much. I didn't realize how tall he is! He looks a good bit taller than Kylie. I measured her yesterday and she is right at 31" now. How tall is Lucas now?

Joats~ Happy anniversary!

Jill~ I hope things work out well with your school fiasco! I will keep your mom in my prayers.

DisKim~ I am also keeping your aunt in my prayers.

justhat~ Geez! You are making me nervous. I am constantly noticing the similarities between Madison and Kylie's personality traits and I am sure not looking forward to the 2s right now!

Loretta~ Sorry about the Lyme's! We were told my BIL had Lyme's several months ago but I don't know any more than that as he doesn't stay in touch except during Christmas. He lives only 1.5 hours away but he has only seen Kylie once and that was last Christmas. We will probably not see him again until this Christmas. We have a lot of ticks in this state as it's wildlife central so we have to really keep an eye out for them.

GLT, fabumouse, and anyone else experiencing one of those days~ I hope today is better for you!

I am sorry. I read the posts but I can't remember all I wanted to say. My fall break was a complete bust. I had 2 online assignments due. I had 2 regular assignments that are due tomorrow. I had a quiz to study for tomorrow. I have an online class midterm tomorrow that I had to study for and I think that's it. And that was really a pretty light load for me but still not a break.

On top of that, Kylie and I were both sick again so we didn't really get to spend it doing all we had planned. We had planned to go to the buffalo park and enjoy their pumpkin patch on Saturday but we didn't feel up to it. We will probably go in a couple of weeks. Anyway, I go back to school tomorrow so break's over and I don't feel like I even got one.

I found out my mid-term grades last week too and I have all As! I am pretty happy about that. Sadly, we had another student quit last week though. She was pregnant with her 2nd child and had ended up in the hospital. She isn't due till Dec. and was already 3 cm dilated. She was too nervous to come back to school and dropped out. We are now down to 12 students and a few are talking about quitting if they can get in other programs. So who knows what it will be like next year?

I am feeling pretty down right now too. There's so much I want to say but I feel like I will sound whiny so I will just say I am feeling so conflicted about being back in school. I feel stressed, overwhelmed, and to some extent I even feel like my life is spinning out of control. This was not my original plan at all. I am very happy that I will finally have my degree. I just don't like the timing and I wish I could finish our family and spend time with my kids first. I just am feeling a bit guilty about some things and conflicted as I said. I am doing so well in school and I really do like my program. It's just the timing of it all. I think I would have waited until Kylie started kindergarten if I could do it over again. Oh, well, I know it's probably good I'm doing it now but still. Anyway, I'll quit whining. I just am feeling a bit sad right now. Maybe if I ever get enough sleep or a true break I will feel better! My schedule next year for school is going to be so awful and I will not be home nearly as much as I am now and won't see Kylie near enough either. I think that's part of what's bugging me. I will probably see her less than if I was actually working! Okay, well, it's nearly 3 a.m. and I have classes starting at 8:30 so I need to go. Night!

Good morning moms! :sunny:

Tasha - I just want to give you a big :grouphug: ! I can empathize with what you are going through and your conflicted feelings with school and being home with Kylie. It is hard to balance it all and you sound so tired. You certainly have a very full load this semester and my hats off to you for how hard you are working. Hang in there! It will be over before you know it. It is so hard to judge when it is a good time to go back to school. There are challenges with every age, but remember that you are a great mom who loves her daughter. Even though it may not seem like it at times, what you are doing will benefit you all in the long run. Kylie knows that and I'm sure she will be fine. Just remember to take a little time for yourself now and then, ok? Feel free to come here anytime and talk. You are not whining and we are here for you. :grouphug: Anyways, I'm babbling now, but I just want to give you a few words of encouragement. I feel exactly like you do at times and understand what you are going through. Hang in there.

SL - I love the pictures from your trip! October is always one of my favorite times to go. I look forward to hearing more!

GLT - Sending warm wishes your way that today is a great day! :wizard:

Tamie and SL - I've used the leash at Disney twice when both girls were two. It worked out very well. The girls had a little bit of freedom which made us all happy.

Nucpharm - Your description of Emma makes me think of when my girls were her age. The two's were fine for us, it was the three's that they challenged me. Hang in there!

Ginamarie - We will miss you by one day on our Disney trip. We arrive on the 19th.

Robin - How is Molly this morning?

Hi to all the moms! :wave2:

My babysitter had to leave for a family emergency, poor thing. :guilty: John and I will be running errands and I pray he takes a good nap so I can work on a project.

I hope that all the moms have a great day today! :sunny:

nucpharm - Hope you enjoyed your TV time.

glt - I can't believe the cold weather you have already. Snow...eek! I don't have a winter coat for Lucas yet. I should just get a cheap one at Old Navy or somewhere just to have it in case.

Alice28 - Having never done the baby swap before, I had no idea it was just like Fastpass and of course, you still have to wait in line with a Fastpass. I thought the first person waited then the 2nd just got to walk right on, bypassing the whole line. :lmao: EE was the only other ride I wanted to go on (and maybe Test Track) but DH didn't ride either so I don't feel so bad.

Tasha - :grouphug: I hope you feel better about school. Congrats on the A's! I haven't measured Lucas in a while so I'll do it sometime today when he wakes up. I think he grew on the trip because he can reach things here he couldn't before we left. Interestingly, he's always been in the 90th %ile for height. DH is 6' and I'm 5'5" so it's not like we're super tall.

llij - I just read back about your mother and sister. :grouphug: Prayers for them. I hope you get your classroom assignment soon. I'm getting a little nervous myself. I haven't been assigned an advisor or anything but they keep sending me class registration info. I don't know what to sign up for! I'll have to call them if I don't hear from them in the next couple of weeks.

val - I also read back and saw your pictures. Welcome back! Glad you had a good time. I agree about the POFQ housekeeping. There was one day when the housekeeper left a rubber glove on the shelf above the sinks! :crazy2: She didn't empty our trash every day either.

DH is itching to go back to WDW. We're thinking of maybe the spring or around Labor Day next year. Since my school is on trimesters, I don't get breaks in between and from what I can tell, grad school doesn't get breaks during the term either, like spring break. I could be wrong though (it's happened once or twice) and maybe they just don't have a detailed calendar online.
