HAPPY BIRTHDAY VAL!!! :bday: :cake: :cake: :cake: party:

The company is gone and I am beyond exhausted. I'll post pictures tomorrow. Everything was fun and I have a ton of food leftover (long story, but 8 people couldn't come at the last minute. Ugh.)

I had a little scare today as my mom called on her way to the hospital. She has been having problems with one of her legs and the doctor thought it might be a blood clot. Thankfully, it isn't but I was very nervous for her this evening. :guilty: They think it is her tendon or her arthritis. I don't like my parents getting old!

Ryan840 - Your grandmother is in my prayers!

Zalansky - Sorry to hear about the Lyme Disease, but thankfully you were on the ball and helped diagnose it. A friend of mine from church had it and she is fine now. She suffered for a long time before it was diagnosed.

Hi to everyone! I'll try to do a proper post tomorrow! I've got tons of studying to catch up on tomorrow and a house to put back together. Ick. I miss you all and I'm really going to try to catch up!

:cool1: :goodvibes HAPPY BIRTHDAY VAL!!!!! :cool1: :goodvibes :thumbsup2

2 years ago my dad and in-laws completely forgot my birthday also. It stunk, but they were very apologetic afterwards. I hope they remembered and gave you a call this evening!

Ryan840 - Your Grandmother is in my prayers. :grouphug:

Goodnight everyone, talk more tomorrow.

jill,

Sorry to hear your Mom was having some trouble. I hope she is feeling better.

When do you arrive at WDW for your Christmas trip?

Dh just told me to book AKL CL for my Birthday-the big 35. We are going to try and do the Sunrise Safari on my Birthday. We will be there December 16-18.

lissawynn,

Glad to see you back. :sunny: Sorry about your friend. :guilty: I just can't imagine. :guilty:

Your exchange package sounds awesome.

ginamarie,

Hi there. :wave2:

Val - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :cake: I can't believe I forgot! I was online this weekend and knew it was your birthday. I debated about posting this weekend but I thought, nope, I'll wait until the actual day. And then I go and forget! I'm sorry you are in a funk. Birthdays get like that sometimes. Your pictures are wonderful! I've never seen Mulan before!!

lissawynn - good to hear from you! Sorry to hear about the teacher and her baby. How devistating. Your exchange package sounds great!

jill - Great new picture!! I'll send good thoughts for your Mom.

My computer keeps locking up. I better sign off before I lose the short post I already have!
Goodnight!

Tamie

I have not seen 7th heaven in a while, why is there no ruthie or simon?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VAL

Val--Happy Birthday!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2: party: :bday: Sorry to hear that your parents didn't call--that's the one thing I really look forward to on my bdays, my parents still acting like I'm 5! Love your pictures!!

ryan--Sending lots of prayers your way! :grouphug:

Jill--Love the new pic in your sig! John is getting so big. Do you have any plans for his bday?? We are just going to do a small family thing for Matthew, which is fine by me--since Emma's bday is less than a month after his, and she is getting the party.

lissawyn--Good to hear from you and that you're almost caught up. How sad for that teacher--prayers and hugs to her family

floridafam--AKL CL how fun!!! What a way to spend your birthday!

Well, I was talking to DH tonight about Emma's bday party and he wants to do it at Chuck E Cheese--so I guess that's it--not terribly excited about it, but Emma will be--hey, at least it's reasonable ($10/child) and someone else has to clean up when the party is over! Guess it's off to bed for me--DH is leaving town tomorrow for the rest of the week, and we're to take him to work so he doesn't have to leave his car there. Hope all the babies and mommies have a great night of sleep!

Hi. I only have a moment as I REALLY have to write a few press releases tonight. . .

Val - LOVe LOVE the pics! Thank you for sharing! Happy birthday to you! Is it today? I was pretty much in a funk last week about my b'day, and everything else too. So I can really relate. I hope you are feeling better. :grouphug: Feel free to PM me if you wish to "cry" together  I've had b'days when I've called my parents, as they didn't call me. It does hurt, I'm sorry.

Robin - sorry you never got paid. Guess a gymbo shopping trip is in for you :thumbsup2 maybe I should try the quicken thing, being in the dark is much easier though ;) Hope you get some sleep tonight.

poohangel - that is a very beautiful cake you found! yum!

diskim - I'm kinda jealous of their mini-meet too! I am HOPing to be able to go in Jan 2008, but am not sure if it's gonna work out yet.

bnb - sorry the trip was cancelled, but sounds like you feel okay about it all.

zalansky - your comment made me :goodvibes , thank you. I hope you are almost done with jury duty, are you there all week? Who's watching the kids? Good luck!

GM - my mom ALWAYS criticize that I coddle my children too much. Oh well, they are only little once! Might as well love them as much as possible! :cloud9:

lissawynn - Love the name Annabel! Sorry about your co-worker. Hugs to her, and you.

jill - leftover party food is always yummy! Sorry though, that a bunch of people didn't show. I hope you get a chance to recover. Love the pumpkin pic! I hope things go well for your mom.

FF - yeah for yor at AKL! What a great way to celebrate your b'day!!

Tamie - good luck with your computer!

OK, now i am really going to work . . .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VALERIE! I WISH YOU A WONDERFUL YEAR! :bday: :cake: :bday: :cake: party:

I'm sorry your parents did not call you on your birthday. :guilty: I hope you get a surprise or something tomorrow!

Jill! Alisa! So glad you are both still with us. Jill- love the pictures of the kids! They look so sweet!

Alisa- I am very sorry about your coworker's loss. That is a terrible thing to deal with, especially with as far along as she was. :sad2:

FF- Woo Hoo for AKL for your birthday! How great will that be! I'm still amazed so many of us are so close in age! For my 35th next April, I am SO booking Coldwater Creek for myself for the afternoon! Money be darned!

Nucpharm- I found Chuck E Cheese to be pretty reasonable for what you pay, and what you get. I think I paid $12 a kid and they got plenty of pizza, drinks, cake, decorations, plates/napkins, and goodie bags! And tokens. That was less than what I would pay for a party here. But this family fun center wants $11 per kid for tokens and a game of either golf or laser tag and NO food. Ripoff.

Kim- LOL that you had a blue one! I had a dorky 77 Dodge Colt from 1988-1991, and then my dad bought my a 1989 Dodge Colt.... Hey, beggars can't be choosers I suppose. I finally have my pretty blue car now in my Subaru.

Zalansky- Ack! Your description of jury duty gave me the willies! I can't handle people chewing ice around me! (let alone thinking of what chewing glass would sound like! :crazy2: ). Do you have to go back tomorrow? Hope not. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....chocolate chip cookies....I also like a box of popcorn:: with a cold Diet Coke sometimes too.

Hey that Build a Bear offer I posted about earlier on Sunshine- I already got the credit for it, so it definitely gets a thumbs up for me on that offer!

OK, well, I smell a poopie diaper....gotta go..

Hi everyone, no change with my grandma- we were all up at the hospital this evening and she was knocked out on morphine so at least she is comfortable. I don't know if she'll pull through or not, but if she does she'll need surgery on her hip and it is almost certain that she won't survive that. I feel bad not praying for her recovery, but it just seems like she's getting so bad lately and if she does make it through all this she will be in pain and rehab for such a long time :guilty: My mom of course is a wreck, my uncle and his wife are right behind her, I feel so bad for them. I just kind keep my emotions inside so I'm not much comfort to them  Alex was so cute when I told him we were going to see her (last time we went to the nursing home he slept through it and was NOT happy) that he was jumping on the couch and yelling "yay, we're going to see nanny!"- I felt so for him thinking it was going to be a fun visit, especially since he usually couldn't care less about seeing her. Anyway, thank you all for your prayers and if you wouldn't mind keeping us in them I would really appreciate it! I hope to catch up sometime this week but I'm not sure what's going to happen...

BTW, I've just been quickly skimming and I love everyones new pictures!

ETA- Happy Birthday Valerie!!!!

I knew I didn't want to start this week. I already have two work problems this morning, and no one is available to speak to at the law office so that I could actually solve any of them. I feel so aggrivated and helpless! GRRRR... if I don't get this problem fixed in the next 90 minutes it's going to be an even bigger problem too. :confused3

Happy Birthday VAL!!

Just a reminder for everyone that theres just a week left to add your name to the Christmas Exchange list, I have noticed that we have had a few new mommies join us in the last few days and thought I should remind incase they want to take part too!

Robin - I have sent you another PM!

Ryan - I am sending prayers for your Grandma, I hope she is comfortable. :grouphug:

GM - I know what you mean, I only work three days a week and I love being with my Boo for four whole days then when I have to leave her to come to work it still aches now!

Lissa - I can't imagine what your friend must be going through, I have heard that if you are over a certain amount of weeks when you miscarry that they have no option really but to induce you and get you to labour as normal - it must be awful!! :grouphug: :sad2: Do they know why they lost the baby?

Oh you guys, I just gotta say I am LOVING these Pumpkin patch pictures! We have some darn cute kids between us! GLT loving your fireman pics too!
I wish we had a pumpkin patch - I might have to Google it to see if we have anything near by to us.

I have just been shopping and got a catalogue from Boots which is a large chemist chain that we have in the UK similar to Walgreens I guess, I am going to try and get all of my Christmas Shopping on line and schedule it to be delivered two weeks before Christmas then I won't have to haul my pregnant butt to the stores!!

Oh I meant to say also that I had a meeting with the Midwife Councillor yesterday to discuss "mode of delivery" as they put it for this little one, I think we are edging toward a C section, mainly as I had a hard time with Shelby and they said that a 3rd degree tear is on a par with a section incision anyway so I would probably be better off trying to save my pelvic floor and going to surgery. I am seeing my ob/gyn next week and he has the final say so but at the moment I have a good case for it. Fingers Crossed.

I am worrying slightly as I haven't heard that my exchange buddy got her package(s), I sent two both by airmail and I would have thought that they would have been there by now?? I hope they aren't lost!

:goodvibes Good morning girls :goodvibes

Again Vald I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!! :grouphug:

FF - I am officially jealous as heck of your birthday plans. If you don't mind me prying, how much does one night in AKL CL cost? I would love to try that too one time....we've stayed at WL CL two times, once we paid only $50 add'' when we checked in and another time we were upgraded for free, and we loved every minute of it.

Ryan - sorry to hear there is no change with your Grandma. Continued prayers to you and your family.

jill - LOVE the new pic of the kids and I love John's shirt! I love all these pics with the kids and pumpkins, they are so great. The girls are getting prettier every day too. Yes, when will you be in WDW this year?

Gina - sorry your day isn't going so great. Did I miss something, are you working back in the office now? I try and keep up but seem to miss some things. ANyway I hope your day gets better. :grouphug:

Thank goodness I don't have to go back for jury duty this week. It was so bad. I am going to head to Babies R Us and get Cameryn some new pacifiers and bottles. Though the pediatrician and everyone else tells me to get her off the bottle and paci, I am not. We didn't with Connor and he is just fine. Granted it would probably be best for her teeth but another month or two (or a few more) isn't going to destroy her.

I will check in with you gals later, hope y'all have a great day. :sunny:

ETA: GEMS - you posted at the same time as me and I wanted to say I am a devout supporter of the c-section! I had sections with both my kids and had no problems at all. Given some stories I have heard of V - childbirth, I was happy to have had c-sections. Plus, they give you great pain pills, so it's all good. :goodvibes

Floridafam & Robin -

I just called Member Services to see what would be available for March 25 - 27th....figuring we'd need to check in on Sunday if DH comes because that is one less day he'll need to take off work. Anyhoo - they had every resort but the Beach Club available - so I booked a one bedroom at Wilderness Lodge!!! I am very freakin' excited!!! I almost want to add a night, but I am going to check and make sure our passes are not blocked out for that week. So if these days work for FF then maybe we can look into that pirate cruise Robin. Of course, if the dates are not good they can be changed. We'll be in touch. WOO HOOOOOOO!!!!

zalansky,

It's $435 right now per night but I'm trying to get that switched over to a FL resident rate which would be $375 per night. I know it seems like a lot but we never do anything like this for my Birthdays and I'm doing it this time no matter what.

We have to go over to Lakeland on the 16th to go to the Trek bike store. I have a surprise planned for DH. We'll leave there and drive up to Orlando and then do the Sunrise Safari the next day. DH said I can do whatever I want while we are there. I'm going to see what they offer as far as massage services, etc.

I've gotten WL CL for $279 during value season with a FL resident discount.

Do you have AP's? They always have good rates for AP holders.

We are debating if we should get the Disney Dining Experience card. I guess it would get us 20% off most meals and we can get it a little cheaper because of being a FL resident.

I just saw your post about March. I think I will call MS today about what is available for us. I forgot to ask the kids about the pirate cruise. I'll make sure to ask them when they get home from school.

They get out on March 23 for Spring Break and don't go back until April 2.

Morning! Wow -yesterday was busy around here and I missed it! Just got Carson down - keeping fingers crossed that he stays that way. Yesterday the boy got up at 6 and pretty much cat-napped through the day for a total of less than two hours until he finally slept in his bed at 9:30 p.m. Yes, he was a crab...luckily DH got home from work and did the holding most of the evening. We had our last pretty day for awhile too - we're also expecting some white stuff on Thursday...SO not ready for that yet. Hannah's doll party went well - she had "mini" hotdogs, chips and dip, grapes, and then the other girls brought food too which was fun. They played dress-up relays and did the dolls hair, etc. It went great for about two hours and then Hannah got mad and said Hayley was "taking over". Well, considering two of the girls are Hayley's age... And they made a HUGE mess in the yard with the wind blowing everything, but they got it cleaned up without TOO much nagging! ;)

Just got an email from a Texas friend and she's coming up here with her DH on business so I get to see her - no kids, though, which is a bummer. Anyway, that is so awesome because I have no friends here other than casual neighbor chit-chat friends. It's all my own fault, and I guess I need to get out there with Carson and join a group or something since it appears we're stuck here for at least a little while longer. How long can I pout about living here?? Get over it, self! Thank goodness my Texas buddies are good at keeping up and now I have you guys! :goodvibes

:bday: :cake: HAPPY, HAPPY, LATE BIRTHDAY to VAL!!! SO sorry I missed yesterday! Hope your mood improves - some birthdays are like that. Sorry about your family not calling - I'm sure they will be groveling soon.

Ryan840 - Praying for your Grandma and your family - that's such a sad situation. :grouphug:

llij - CUTE new picture!!! I wanted to get the kids out on Saturday to take pictures in the leaves but it didn't work out. Hopefully I'll get another chance when this cold front goes away (IF it goes away, anyway). SO glad your party went well - enjoy that extra food and take a break!

lissawynn - Glad to see you - hope you're all better now. So sad about your friend. It really makes you stop and be thankful, doesn't it?

poohangel - I'm not watching the "return" of 7th Heaven - DH read this terrible review about how they're just patching it together with no $$. No Ruthie and Simon because they couldn't afford them - that's why even the returning characters aren't always on. And they are only doing set filming - no fun town scenes or night-time scenes anymore - too much $$. Seems sad and maybe they should have left it alone - the fans won't be happy with a half-done thing. I'll stick with re-runs with my girls who missed the first years.

nucpharm - you can't go wrong with Chuck E Cheese at that age. Even though WE think it's old and ick, the kids sure don't - she'll LOVE it and be a hit with her friends! Heck, Hannah STILL chooses that place for her family b'day dinner! :confused3

GLT - Hi  SUCH cute pictures - your kiddos are so gorgeous! And I guess I'll have to get that ball thing for Christmas since it got such rave reviews around here!

Ginamarie - sorry the day didn't start off so well...hoping it improves! Hang in there!

T16GEM - Keeping fingers crossed for you and your delivery of choice! Glad things are going well! You are SO on the ball with your Christmas shopping - me, not so much.

zalansky - glad you're done with the nightmare of jury duty! My girls both had pacifiers FOREVER and they lived to tell the tale..no worries! :)

OH NO...guess who is fussing? Will he never sleep??? Gotta run!

FF - we got the DDE card last year but we didn't use it enough for it to be worth it for us. Maybe when the kids get older? I think it costs $60 for the year. Wow so that week is Spring Break in March....I am shocked so many resorts have availability. Looks like our passes are not blocked out at that time, so we're good to go!

Robin - I know you guys have the Hoop Dee Doo booked for the 26th so don't worry about that. We'll meet up other days.

Z- Yes! Yes! Yes! So excited for you that they had the WL available! :cheer2: Holly, if you are able to come those days too, well, it would be so awesome! I think I said it before, but our family is going to Hoop Dee Doo the night of the 26th, but other than that I haven't made any plans for those days, so I am wide open!

Ryan- I'm sorry there was no improvement with your Grandma last night. :guilty: We're still thinking of you and her!

Gina- sure hope your work problem was able to get solved! Were you able to get a hold of anyone? :wizard:

Diz- Glad Hannah's party went well. I can't believe they are forecasting snow already! Brr....although we had frost on the cars this AM. But I think it's because it was so clear last night; the next few days are supposed to be high pressure/mid 70s weather.

Gems- I hope you get what you want for your delivery method. I will say that I had 70-80 stitches with Sam (I'm not sure what degree that is) and I delivered Joshua with only about 8-10 stitches....ask your midwife about perineal massage before delivery, if it's an option (if they discourage a C Section that is). Molly I only had a few stitches as well. I think the first child paves the way so to speak, for the next ones!

Today involves only calling the vet and going to Gymboree to spend my one Gymbuck. I edited my last post about selling them and the lady not paying me, because she did end up paying. Oh well, saves me some money. Sam just desperately needs some long sleeved shirts and Josh needs 1 more pant. I can get that I think without spending more than $30 (with the GB anyway).

Also, I thought Target had good buys on Huggies. I usually buy Pampers, but a pack of Huggies is only $8, and Huggies just sent me all these coupons the other day, so I can get $1.50 off each pack (up to 4). I may go and stock up.Just an FYI.

Oh, I don't know why I remember this, but Gems, was Nucpharm your pal? If she was, I remember her posting a couple weeks ago that she got your exchange. Hopefully I am remembering correctly........

I also was surprised how available the resorts were to guests.....I think Easter is April 8th, so I imagine the REALLY packed time will be March 31- April 15th? I hope it's just not wall to wall people when we're there anyway. We plan on slamming the parks our first 4 days, when we are at Shades, and then taking it easy while we are at the Poly.....mostly just doing MK and Epcot, with a morning at TL and an afternoon at AK one day....(The parks are open LATE while we are there- it's so great! I think AK has late magical evening one night and it's open until 10!).

So excited, so excited!

Robin and Loretta,

Do you have anything in mind that you want to do for the days that we are all there? Do you want to meet up at a restaurant, visit a park together, meet up for tea at the GF? Downtown Disney? A special dinner, etc.

I'm not sure if we all have the same park touring styles, or if all of our kids would be happy at the same time. Do you want to attempt a park together or just meet up for something outside the parks?

I'm open to pretty much anything. I'm not a huge fan of the parks when they are walll to wall. There is so much to do at WDW.

Let me know. Give it to me straight. Tell me what your ideas are. :thumbsup2
