Tamie, when are you going to WDW? Do you need the bill before you leave? I think the confirmation says something similar to that, like how many nights and the rate per night. If not, I know they can print that stuff out when you're there cause we went to WDW twice with conventions for my mom and she needed that info too.

We're off to the zoo. I asked Madison what she wanted for lunch and she asked if we can eat at the zoo and it's a nice day so we might as well go. We had to come home first for a potty break and she wanted to play with her new vacuum but now that Henry is fed we're ready to go.

Wow, thanks for all the birthday wishes. Aidan is sleeping like a log and I really have to wake him up soon so I can feed him lunch and bring him to the sitter's for a little while while I go to the dentist (what fun  ). I actually laid down and was about to fall asleep when I realized I had to get up and get ready to go. I never take naps. I think my weekend is catching up with me. My aunt is not doing well. Her oxygen levels are very low, yet they still want to release her from the hospital. She couldn't breathe last night and my poor uncle is scared to death that she might get like that tonight at home and there will be no doctors around. When he mentioned this to the doctor, he just told him to go to the ER. I'm really not impressed with her hospital. It was dirty and the nurses were terrible.

lissawynn - I hope the medication makes you feel better soon.

justhat - The zoo sounds nice. Have fun!

OK, I better get going.

No time for a proper post . ..

Happy birthday to you
happy birthdayto you
happy birthday to Kimmmmm
Happy Birthday to you! :bday:

I hope you are enjoying your day off!

Happy Birthday Dear Kim!

Ladies- I have a little prayer request. I was supposed to be doing a zillion things today, and instead I am in bed. I had another kidney stone attack in the middle of the night. I *think* I passed it, but was in the hospital for 4 hours in the middle of the night. Just please pray that I passed it. Thanks....

Have an awesome Birthday, Kim!!! :cheer2: So glad you got to stay home and enjoy some time with Aidan! Your new glasses sound like they are very special!!

tykes - Sorry about your Disney mess - that cm should not have made you feel so uncomfortable! Glad it's worked out - hey, you're going to WDW! :Pinkbounc

lissawynn - So sorry you're having so much trouble! I hope you feel better really, really soon!!! Hope you got a good nap!

justhat - Glad you had a nice weekend - sorry about the PBK incident. Hannah was a teeny bit younger when she had a major accident with #'s 1 and 2 in the Charleston airport- on carpet. Very lovely and I literally threw her Gymbo outfit away right then and there. Thankfully I did have xtra clothes or I would have been in trouble! Sorry your DH is not being nice about $$ - he just feels bad for what he did (I hope!) and is being defensive. That's when DH throws his real zingers out at me, anyway!! Have fun at the zoo!

hillbeans - thanks for the article!!

T16Gem - Sorry Shelby is being so clingy 24/7. I definitely know what that is like as Hannah is STILL that way - well, not quite so bad. ;) But she's a Mommy-or-nothing kind of kid. Thankfully so far Carson just wants ANYONE to hold him and he's happy!

GLT - such cute pictures!

Alice28 - ADORABLE pictures - how did you ever choose??

BuzznBelle - Can't remember if I ever posted about Hayley's rec night...she had a great time. They ran around in a pack and did all the line dances and stuffed themselves with pizza. She was grossed out by the 8th grade girls slow dancing with 7th grade boys. Of course it was only the "popular" kids...I am tired already of hearing about the "cool" group and she's only 12!

Well, just got back from taking the girls to the dentist - no cavities!! Carson should be waking any second from his carseat-induced-sleep and he'll be starving. Oh! Hayley got a really nice part in the school musical with lines and small solo so she's REALLY excited!! Hi to everyone! Have a great day, ladies!

Whoa...Alice28 you posted at the same time as me. I AM SO SORRY!! Definitely sending out a prayer request that you feel better very soon and got rid of the ickiness. How are the kids - hope they're being taken care of so you can rest!!! :grouphug:

Oh and Diskim - Still praying for your aunt and your uncle as well since he's so worried about her care. Also sorry your BF didn't check in with you over the weekend. She should have, but if she's really such a good friend, you can forgive her and I'm sure she'll feel terrible when she realizes what she did. :grouphug: to you too! Happy Birthday again!

So much for sleeping the afternoon away. Please tell me what kind of world we live in when the Amish are getting gunned down in their school? I don't think they are any exemptions just b/c they're Amish, but what the heck? It just scares the heck out of me knowing that there are kids in my school who are capable of violence of this scale.

Alice - I am hoping you passed your stone. I've heard from several friends that passing a stone is right up there with the pain of childbirth. Please take care of yourself.

Kim - Can your uncle have your aunt moved to a different hospital? I hope she can get better care somewhere else and will be well soon. Also, have a good trip to the dentist. I have to "break-up" with my dentist after this visit, but I don't know how to do it.

Tamie - Is the Disney Visa still offering the interest break on trips to WDW? I would call and ask. You still get your points and the break on the interest.

dizagain - Yay for no cavities! :cheer2: Congratulations to your daughter on her part in the musical.

justthat - I hope you have a nice trip to the zoo. I hope you're having beautiful weather like we are.

I don't remember if I posted this, but I got the nursery stuff on Saturday. I am not going to unpack it b/c I know I'll never get all the stuff back in the bag. From what I could see, it looked really cute. Also, I bought Jimmy the chicken costume at Old Navy. I had the frog in my hands a month ago, but my sister promised me she had a lion costume for him. The costume has disappeared from the face of the earth.

I'm going to get some juice. Can you believe that I forgot to buy Jello at the store? The one thing I really wanted and I didn't get it. I hope DH can buy some before he gets home.

Thanks Diz....the kids are fine. DH took a day off work. Thank goodness he has a great boss- DH isn't supposed to take days off until Nov 1st. DH got the boys off to school, went back and got my script (a type of Morphine which REALLY looped me good last night and this morning), and now is entertaining Molly. My MIL is here til about 3 as well. My neighbors, bless them, came over at 2, to sit with the kids til my parents could get here. EVery time I have had a stone move, it happens in the middle of the night. It's so bad- it's like razors in my kidneys, and not just razors, but like someone is kneading the razors in.

Poor DH has had about an hour's sleep. We stayed up til almost midnight talking Disney. As soon as I can I am going to get on the phone with Shades, and reserve 5 nights at SOG and I think we agreed the Poly would be the best bet for the other 4 or 5 nights. As long as there are overflow rooms available to us. :sunny:

Hello ladies! :sunny:

Quick check in here! My dh and I had to go to another funeral today. Our good friend from college lost her father suddenly at the end of last week. That is the second one of my friends to lose a parent in two weeks. It is rather sad that we are getting to the age where our parents are passing away. My FIL passed away 6 years ago and we still miss him dearly.

I just want to wish HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DisKim!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Have a wonderful day! As far as your aunt in concerned, I really hope that they keep her in the hospital if she is having breathing difficulties. That would be criminal to release her and have something bad happen. She is in my prayers. Keep us posted.

Robin – Prayers for you that you passed the stone! :grouphug: You poor thing! I hope that you get some rest! Oh and I do hope you go to the DIS moms meet in ’08! It wouldn’t be the same without you! I need to check out your new pictures too. I bet they are beautiful!

Fabumouse – I hope that everything works out with your daughter and school. Some kids just take a little more time to get adjusted to school and that is ok. It sounds like you are taking care of it very well!

Hillbeans – You are right about me having a SOG overflow rate at the YC. It is for this December and I can’t wait! Good luck with the low carb! I think you look great btw, and don’t need to lose any weight!

Lissawynn – You poor thing! Feel better soon!

Justhat – Have a great time at the zoo today. The weather is just gorgeous here!

Floridafam – Is your test tomorrow? How are you feeling?

GLT – Your children are so beautiful!!! Glad to hear that yesterday was fun!

Zalansky – Congrats on getting the Boardwalk for November!! Woo Hoo!

BNBmom – Sorry to hear about Luke falling!

Ginamarie – I’m glad to hear that your housewarming party was fun! Good luck today with your new client!

Nucpharm – Have a great time at the Gym! BTW, when do you start your new job?

J&D – I’m sorry that someone made a rude comment to you about being a SAHM! Some people just don’t know when to be quiet! BTW, I’ve had comments on being a SAHM a lot and it is irritating!

Tamie – I hope you go to the moms meet too! That would be great to share a room with Robin! Good luck with the Disney payment!

SL – Have a wonderful trip!!! Take lots of pictures!

Gems – I hope you get some rest!

Dizagain – Congrats to your dd on her part in the school play!

Hi to Ryan840! :wave2:

BTW, is Val back yet from Disney?

Well ladies, the reunion was so much fun!!! :teeth: I found a new favorite drink too….Cosmopolitans! (I felt like I was on an episode of SATC in my swanky black dress and Cosmo in hand chatting with my girlfriends!) It has been forever since I had a drink so my tolerance was low not to mention that I hadn’t eaten much on Saturday. Those drinks are addicting so I cut myself off early.

I saw a bunch of friends that I lost touch with from school which was fun. I’m kicking myself for forgetting my camera, but my best friend brought hers so I need to get copies of pictures from her. I will say that all of the ladies at the reunion looked fabulous, but a lot of the men really aged. It is so hard to believe that it has been 20 years.

Well, I better run! I'm teaching this afternoon and I have a presentation tonight. This is my crazy few days! I'll check in on Wednesday!

justhat - good for you, a spur of the moment trip to the zoo, you're a great mom! Is it nearby? We haven't been to the zoo yet this year! I keep meaning too, but driving to Milwaukee and dealing with construction traffic just isn't cutting it for me.

DisKim - prayers that your aunt does well tonight. :wizard:

Robin - prayers that you did pass the stone and that you feel better soon :wizard:

Tamie - glad you were able to pay off your visa to put the trip on it (I'd never be able to do that :lmao: ). I would certainly hope they'd help you out with paperwork for reimbursment purposes! Good luck.

ginamarie - your comments brought tears to my eyes. I sure hope we are friends when she's grown! Now adays, even though she wants to be home, she's a pistol when she's here. I was just looking at some pics of her from 2 years ago, wow how time flies! I was all teary-eyed. Hope the meeting with your client went well. Fun about family moving close by. My parnets have now left your neighborhood are are in upstate for the week.

lissawynn -frightening about the school, I haven't heard about it yet. I think there was something in Wis. last week and then today there was a school that was totally vandelized to the point where classes have been cancelled, unbelievable. It's like no one thinks of consenquences anymore, or they don't care.

bnb - i know you posted somethign I wanted to respond to, but it's not below and of course I'm on borrowed time (Leif has a stinky diaper). But hello!!

Catch up more with you all later! Diaper changing time.

Robin - OMG!! I hope you feel better soon! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I just got back from the dentist and it doesn't look good. The tooth that is bothering me is one that I had a root canal and cap done on last year. The dentist thinks there is an infection back there, so he has me on penicillin and didn't tell me what happens from there. I don't want to know. I'd rather go through labor than dental work. I absolutely loathe it.

Jill - It sounds like you had a great time.

lissawynn - I saw the shooting at the Amish school too. What happened? When I saw the news, they didn't know anything yet. It seems like school shootings are getting out of hand again. It goes in waves. My school has no security whatsoever (except for the 2 cops who sit in an office and eat all day).

I'm sorry I can't post more but I have to run out to the pharmacy.

Thanks again for all those birthday wishes!

Hi moms, I need to buy Alex some shoes and I know a lot of you know where the deals are (J&D and floridafam, I decided to come straight here this time ;) ) Any good deals/coupons/codes out there for online shopping? Or really good in store deals? I'm cheap with shoes right now since he wears them for a few months and then outgrows them, so I hate to spend more than $10 unless they're REALLY cute. Thanks!

Robin- OUCH! I'm praying that you passed the stone!

DisKim- Fun about the dental work, hopefully the penicillin will take care of it and you won't need further treatment.

I gotta go, Jack is hungry as usual.

Have a great day everyone, hopefully I can catch up a bit more tonight.

diskim--Happy Birthday to you!!! :cool1: :cheer2:  I know what you mean about dental work--I freak out anytime I have to go to the dentist, even if it's just for a cleaning.

Alice--OMG--I hope you are feeling better and the stone has passed! :grouphug: It's great that you have such great neighbors that were willing to help out last night, and that your DH has such a great boss!

Jill--I'm a cosmo girl myself--but unfortunately, my checkbook is more beer friendly! :rotfl: Glad you had a good time! I'm not really sure when I start the job--I have to go for a drug test this week, and then we're going to work on a training schedule after that. But at least I get paid to train, so I'll be making some $$$ soon.

Well, I made it to the gym, but much to my dismay, the childcare people ahd to come get me b/c apparently Matthew had some massive spit-up--he's always been a big spitter (dr. classified him as a happy spitter) but I guess the daycare folks were worried he was sick. Oh well! I really wanted to take the kids to the park this afternoon, but it's in the 90s again today--Yuck! so I guess we'll just veg in front of the tv.

oh Robin!! OUCH! I hope you feel better soon. How awful! My mom used to get kidney stones all the time. I hope you passed it.

Sending good thoughts your way!!

Tamie

Hi again Ladies,

Happy Birthday Diskim!! :cake: I hope your Aunt continues to have a speedy recovery.

Robin - the pictures of your children in the Halloween costumes are just adorable! My favorite one was the one with the kids standing up on the bottom right. Molly's shoes are just so cute! I hope you're feeling better soon and that you did pass the stone.

Gottalovethem - your pictues of the kids are really nice! Your children are so photogenic - I love the picture of Leif and his "teeth". :teeth:

Ryan840 - I also wanted to tell you your new signature pictures of your boys are just darling!!!!

Lissawynn - that whole school shooting thing is just heartbreaking. What kind of monster would take a handful of innocent lives? I can't even begin to imagine how scared those kids were being tied up and seeing their classmates being shot. I will say many prayers for them tonight.

Nucpharm and Diskim and J & D - I completely agree with you on the SAHM issue. I would never, ever question anyone on their choice to stay home or to work when they had children. No one needs to get a rude or snarky comment either - that's just uncalled for. I've gotten my fair share of comments from family and friends over the years, but so far my children don't seem neglected from spending some time at (gasp) daycare or a babysitter.

My theory is that if everyone is happy in the situation, then people should keep doing what they are doing. If a mom wants to stay home with her kids and everyone is happy, that's great. If a mom wants to work a day or two a week, and it will make her happy and the kids will be well taken care of, then I think that's a great idea also.

LLIJ - it's very rough getting to the age where friends and family are starting to lose their parents. DH went to a memorial service yesterday for his boss' father and he was in a funk the rest of the day. I think it reminded him of his own father's death in January and how much he misses him. :guilty:
I'm so glad that you had a fun time at the reunion. It sounds like it was a wild night! I've never had a "cosmo" but maybe i'll have to try one after your glowing recommendation!

Justine - I am so sorry what happened to you at Pottery Barn. At least your mother didn't make a big deal about it, right? Poor Madison! Sorry to hear what a horrible sleeper she was at Liam's age - I know you feel so helpless because you just wonder why they don't want to sleep and fight it so when they need sleep at this age more than anything. Hope you're having a nice time at the zoo.

Dizagain - good news from the Dentist! I always feel like i'm doing my job as a mom when you get a good report from the dentist that your child(ren) is doing a good job brushing their teeth!

Tamie - sorry that Disney gave you such a hard time about the Visa. There was no need for the person you spoke with to be so rude or flip. Hope everything is resolved for you soon.

Ginamarie - I hope your new client works out! Good luck!! :thumbsup2

Buzznbelle - We may do the Nick hotel for one night also on our next trip. I'm still thinking it over. I'd rather stay at AKL, but I may give in. I saw you're thinking about staying there in 2008? Have you stayed there before.

fabumouse - yes, the dreaded LC diet. I actually do well on it, much better than WW. For some reason, when I do LC, I don't get into a carb craze. I am in a wedding in December and I just want to get back into some of my old clothes (which will be outdated by the time they actually fit ;) )
OT - I can't believe someone at your old work gave you an article from the NY times about daycare children being violent? My son was in daycare for 2.5 years and then homecare for 2.5 years, and he is the most docile, friendly kid you could ever meet. I hate when people "generalize" like that. I'm sure they had your best interests at heart, but yikes. How long have you been a SAHM?

Well, i'd better run - talk with you all later.

Loretta - How exciting that you get to stay at the Boardwalk again!!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Floridafam - hope you're feeling better also. When do you go for your tests again? This week, right?

OMG, I just got the nicest surprise in the mail today--so apparently after reading the DVC message board, I was in the dark that these prints were coming--But, b/c of it being DVC's 15th anniversary they are sending members this wonderful gallery wrapped 11X14 print of all the disney vacation club resorts and mickey mouse. I was really happy, but now it makes me wish my vacation was sooner!!!!!

Justhat--I forgot to mention this earlier, but Emma had the same accident problem in the middle of WalMart! Luckily, I had a burp cloth along for Matthew, so I had something to clean up the aisle (luckily we were alone in the aisle). And then we had a change of clothes in the car--but from now on before we go shopping, I always ask her if she needs to go.

Hi everyone  !

We got back late last night (as in midnight) and I had to work today so this is my first chance to get on the computer. I'm pages and pages behind but I did quickly read the last couple.

Robin,
I hope you feel better soon :grouphug: . I'm glad hubby took the day off to help.

Diskim,
Happy Birthday :cheer2: ! I'm so happy you had a nice day with Aidan :goodvibes .

Lissawynn,
Hope you are feeling better. Did you get the gender of the baby yet?

GLT,
I'm glad you had fun at the orchard :sunny: .

Gems,
I hope Shelby is sleeping better for you.

Hi to Nucpharm, Hillbeans, GM, Dizagain, fabumouse, J&D, Tamie, and all the other moms  .

We had a fabulous trip :sunny: . The crowds were light until the last few days we were there. The weather was wonderful. It rained for a few minutes on one day and that was it. It was around 90 everyday.

I really loved POFQ although the mousekeeping left a lot to be desired. There were days where our garbages weren't even emptied and she never replenished our mickey toiltetries. Overall though it was super. DS loved the slide at the pool and I loved how close together the resort was. Bus service was good and bad. It seemed once the week went on and things got more crowded the buses had a hard time keeping up. I would stay there again in a heartbeat though.

Magical Express was very easy and convenient. I think it's a really nice perk for staying on-site. The dining plan was wonderful as well. I really got used to having dessert with every meal I tell ya ;) . Favorite meals were Wolfgang Puck's Cafe, Le Cellier, and Mama Melrose. The character buffets we did (Chef Mickey's dinner, LTT dinner, and CP breakfast) were okay but super duper packed and busy. The character interaction was not nearly as good as it has been in the past. Still nice for free though.

I am such a ride chicken but I did go on EE and RNR this trip :smooth: . I love both of them. I'm still too scared to go on TOT or Space Mtn though. I loved Soarin' and I thought of Robin while I was on it :sunny: . We did MS but did the mild version. I don't know how different it is than the regular but I wasn't very impressed with the ride.

Katrina did very well overall and developed an affininty for Princess Aurora. DS favorite thing of the whole vacation was the serpent slide at the hotel. We met lots and lots of wonderful people in our travels during the week. I think that is one of my favorite parts of vacation. I'm already thinking about our next trip in 10/07. I'm thinking of maybe staying at the Contemporary but we'll see ;) .

I did some of the shopping for my exchange package but I'm not quite done with it yet. I hope to get it in the mail this week but I'll def. pm FF when it goes out.

:Pinkbounc  Happy Birthday, DisKim! :cheer2:

Robin,

I hope you are feeling better soon!!!

I'll check back later. Gotta get dinner on the table. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to wish DisKim a very happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!! :bday: :cake:
I'm glad you took the day off!

Hope to be back soon to finish posting. Not sure if it will be tonight or not, but thinking of you ladies.
:)
