Happy Saturday everyone! Haven't got much done today - in fact, haven't showered. Not that I'd admit that. ;)

Jill- Yes, I think it's in big part just getting used to the new school situation (and this did happen last year) - but when I pointed that out to the K teacher, he essentially (and kindly!) said that all the other kids have moved out of "transition" and are learning, while Kailey is essentially holding herself back by being too busy arguing to actually learn some days.

And when you don't get enough down time or "me" time, it's expected that you'll get cranky - I hope you find some time for yourself.

SL - are you feeling any better?

Dizagain - Thank you for the kind words and support! Sometimes I'm afraid that she will be like this in Junior High and everyone will wonder why I didn't take care of it, and I will be pathetically saying "but I thought she'd grow out of it". :confused3

The K teacher said that he was finding a special spot for Kailey to go to when she started to feel that she was losing control. And practicing the "take a deep breath" thing before she gets too worked up. He's also spent time with the class working on talking about their feelings instead of yelling - but he's feeling that he's spending too much time on Kailey and this issue, which I think is fair. There are 25 kids in her class - 1 teacher and 1 full time Aide. I hope he likes her - or I am in trouble.

J&D - well, the peeing on the floor *was* such a surprise. Other things I could ignore, but not that. :lmao:

Lissa - I so feel for you! Have I mentioned (in the last hour) that I don't miss being pregnant? :teeth: I had easy pregnancies, but I do remember nights where I slept sitting up with a bed pillow because I was so uncomfortable (allergies, I believe).

Nucpharm - that's GREAT on the job!! :cheer2: And don't spend one second feeling guilty - I know tons of attorneys and business consultants and other people who make a ridiculous amount of money per billed hour - and wouldn't I rather my pharmacist (who is responsible for giving me the right medicine) be well paid??

Robin - what are overflow rates? Is that if SOG is booked to capacity, you can get special rates on other resorts? I feel for your MIL just because I have fought with those plastic wraps and straps from toys for the past 5 years and have managed to damage myself a number of times.
So sorry to hear about your best friend!

And the last time I did "favors" at WDW - I started feeling a bit funky a few weeks later . . . . if you cough *Madeleine* know what I mean. :teeth:

OMG - I cannot believe it's (almost) October 1. We just moved everything from the heaters so we can fire up the boiler.

FAB- LOL about the result of your favors! :rotfl2: Luckily that can't happen to me anymore, at least I don't think....I need to get in for that HSG test to make sure my tubes are now blocked. And DH doesn't just want the favors at WDW- he wants them leading up to the trip, for the next 5.5 months! :rotfl:

Overflow rates are discounts Shades can get their guests when their own rooms are booked. As I recall, it's about 25-40% off rack rates of the other hotels. But they only have a certain amount of rooms they can get at those rates, so we're taking a gamble! Hopefully it will all work out. I'm thinking this trip might actually be really nice- I mean, I have been two WDW twice in the last year- I might actually, gasp, take things at a leisurely pace and not be so drill sgt like.

It sounds like Kailey's teacher is really trying to work with her- has he suggested anything you can do with her at home to ease the arguing in the classroom?

Joats- I couldn't get the link to work....

DH called- MIL had to get 5 stitches!!! Ouch! I'm going to jump in the shower. MIL had me call CC again to see if I could get in, if there were any cancellations. Nope. Darnit.

Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is doing well. Today, Kevin had a soccer game - and we all went to watch. It's so funny watching a group of 5 year olds run around on a field not really knowing what they are doing! Pretty funny!

We went to the Carters outlet and then to Chili's with my brother's family. Tomorrow i'm walking in the American Heart Assn. walk with a girlfriend and the kids, but I think they're calling for rain.

Jill - I try and not dwell on the fact that Liam is a bad sleeper, because he's really good during the day and is such a fun/cute kid. I do hope one day he's a better sleeper, and I hope that JP will get that way for you too. I do understand, though, after going a few nights with bad sleep that it does start to get to you. Hang in there!

Joats, I couldn't get the link to work either - Oh well!

I hope SL is having a great time in WDW! I'm so jealous!

Fabumouse - LOL at the WDW favors! There are quite a few people on many parts of the DIS who have a little souvineer from a trip to Disney!
Oh, and my SIL and Brother sometimes read the DIS, so I do try not to say much of anything which would get me in trouble with the family. Last year, when my brother gave me Planters Peanuts for Christmas (I gave him a $45 Nike Golf Shirt, but who's keeping score  )and I admit I vented about that, however I keep the things that I need to keep private to myself.

ALice - Sorry to hear about your MIL - those plastic straps are really a pain on the kids toys. They are almost as bad as those hard plastic covers all the toys come in these days which are next to impossible to open. Good luck getting an SOG overflow rate - I think Jill is getting one for Yacht Club for her next trip, or was that her last trip?

Tamie - I don't scrapbook, but my best friend does, and she spends a lot of money on supplies. Her scrapbooks look great though, so it's money well spent. Enjoy!

Floridafam - not to rub it in, but there is a place about 10 minutes from my house that has two huge corn mazes, pumpkin picking, and all sorts of Fall activities. We usually go to a farm a bit further away from our house, but they have tons of games and things for the kids to play with and we also take a hayride. Try not to be too jealous though - we're all jealous that you live in Florida!

Nucpharm - I must have missed your post about your job, but are you a pharmacist? When are you starting back to work? Congrats! I know a few kids who are in college now (kids of co-workers) who are attempting Pharmacy school.

GLT - Sorry your day started so early today - I'm sure everyone was ready for naps at around 8 am then! Sorry to hear about your friend moving away. I hope you still get to see her sometimes!

Buzznbelle and Dizmom- Just yesterday at the local blood drive, both my husband and I were asked (separately) when we're going to try for a little girl. I guess they didn't notice how high my blood pressure was already with just the two that I brought along (just kidding). It's funny how people think you need to have a certain number and gender of children to be happy.

Well ladies, I finally gave in today and i'm going back on Low carb. I can't do WW anymore because I never keep up with my points journal and I nibble too much. I like Low Carb because it's easy for me to follow and it's a lot more satisfying to me. I have a very hard time limiting my sweets, and i've been buying the kids more fruit and yougurt instead of chips and cookies - so there is less to tempt me. I'll keep everyone up on my progress.

Hi to Zalansky, Gems, Ryan840, Joats, Tasha, Bellacam, DisneyPhD, Cabmom, Gretchen, Vald, Justine, Lissawynn, Diskim, and all of my other Mom friends. Have a great night!

Hi to all the other mommies, hope everyone is doing well.

Joats- that was crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! :lmao:

Hillbeans- I cannot tell you how many times I heard, "Are you going to try for a little girl next?" Or when I was pregnant with Molly, but didn't know her sex yet, "Boy I sure hope it's a girl for you...or I bet you are wishing for a girl!" It was so DARN irritating! My favorite was when I found out Joshua was a boy- at least 3 people said to me, "Oh, well, you can always try again for a little girl!" Like a son was a consolation prize or something. So F**$*#( rude!

Obviously I have no life tonight....DH went to go get us some sandwiches for dinner. I asked him where he would want to eat at WDW- get ready to laugh ladies; here's his list:

California Grill
Artist Point
Fulton's
Yachtman Steak House (or Shula's)
Narcoossee's

I was like, "Wow, we might as well go to Hawaii with those meal prices!" We both just laughed and he said, "Well, not ALL of them I guess...."

I'm getting there with him, I'm getting there! :thumbsup2

Still not a proper catchup, but wanted to share some pics of the kids. I've been trying to get a decent one of the three of them but they haven't cooperated.

Robin - so I take it you prefer WDW to Hawaii? I say do both! :thumbsup2 Eeks about MIL cutting her hand and having to go to ER. I think your family may be earning your own wing! :rotfl:

fabumouse - poor Kailey, I have a hard enough time wi
Hillbeans - your post to Jill about loving Liam's personality during the day just made me smile :) I know how you feel!

ETA - my computer died in the middle of this post -- lucky for me I have learned how to post even with the blue screen of death!! I'll have to do a proper catch up later.. have a great Sunday DIS Moms!

Here's me, posting again. But I have to say your children are GORGEOUS GLT! Just gorgeous! Thank you for sharing those pictures!

You know, I love Hawaii, I do....and I don't mean to sound like a crazy person passing up HI for WDW, but we can afford about a $4,000 vacation or so. And Hawaii is adding up to be $7,000. At least. I dunno, we'll see. :confused3

ETA- MIL just got back from her facial- she LOVED it & got me a gift cert for one for another time! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I'm so excited!

Ok, I was halfway to bed and realized that my whole trip report didn't print -- I am finally printing it out so that I can keep a hard copy of the trip for my scrapbook. Didn't realize that each "page" is 15 pages long! May take a while to do.

Robin - totally understand about not wanting to spend all the $$ at one time. I'd go for the less expensive adventure too! And WDW, why not! ;) The kids are always asking me to go.

And yesterday Dd told me that I should go on Deal/No Deal and win money so we can go to WDW :rotfl2: :lmao: I thought that was soooo :rotfl: You disney gals would probably get a kick out of that one!

Curious to see if this link works - if's pics of the kids' first day of school on kodak gallery. http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slideshow.jsp?mode=fromshare&Uc=q1zobyc.1x066hz0&Uy=-g4b3e4&Ux=1

I hope everyone has good Sundays planned. I am not sure what we will do. The kids have Sunday school, though I'm not real motivated to get our butts out the door this a.m. (bad, I know). We may check out an apple orchard, or drive around. I have no idea. DH worked last night (he works at a bar on weekends) and JUST fell asleep, on the couch! I hate :furious: when he does that, rather than the bed, as then I feel we have to be gone so he can sleep, that, and I don't wanna listen to the snoring.

Hillbeans- good luck with the walk today

joats - how'd you find that video? That's funny, though the cigarette at the end . . .I hope you have a nice Sunday.

robin - hope you make some headway on the Disney trip today! :wizard:

jill = how'd the reunion go? How was it to spend a night, and a.m. kidless? Hope you had fun and got some rest. We put out a few decorations too, we don't have too many though.

ff - If we go to an apple orchard I'll think of you. I don't think any of ours have donuts though

tamie - the b&B sounds like a great place to be, and then to scrapbook too, that sounds like a great trip, when is it planned? I have a friend that likes to do that too.

fab - we've already turned the heat on a few times. Though I did turn it off yesterday. It should be almost 70 and sunny today, so that should warm our house up plenty! :sunny:

OK, DS is yelling at me to help him with a racetrack. Chat more later!

Just popped on for a quick good morning hello :goodvibes

Robin - I keep missing the post where you said the time of year for your WDW trip!!! I am dying to know when you might be going to see if we'll be there at the same times. When are you thinking of going?

GLT - the kids are just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing the photos. They made me :) this morning.

Hillbeans - have a great walk today! What a great cause. Good for you! I am keeping my fingers crossed you don't get rain.

FF - we are sounding more and more alike - I went to TJMaxx yesterday also and also saw two Peg Perego strollers and could not believe it. I posted about it on the Budget Board. At first I thought someone had left their stroller in the baby area until I saw the other one and then tags on them! I love TJMaxx and am hoping I can get DH to go back today with me. HA! :rolleyes1

Hi Jill!!! I keep missing you! :wave2:

Hi to all the moms

I better run, just wanted to stop in and say hello and hope you're all having a great weekend. We got a letter from DVC yesterday, our waitlist came through for the end of November :yay: we are now staying at Boardwalk again as opposed to Saratoga which we had booked. This works out wonderfully since we will be doing Epcot and can walk back & forth - plus I fell in  with Boardwalk when we were there a few weeks ago.

Have a great day!

Morning all! It's gray and wet up here today, and I'm stuck in the house playing single mom! DH has to work 7-7 today, andthen until 7 pm all this week. Yuck! It'll be particularly bad on Thursday, but no shortage of activities for me to drag all the kids to. And Luke started off the day with a bang--literally. Dh thought he was doing me a huge favor by letting me "sleep in" with Luke in the bed. Well, I woke up a little before 6, Luke was asleep, DH was downstairs, so I figured I'd get in a shower. I mean, when am I supposed to do it, if I sleep in, with 3 kids there alone? (Jocelyn's at a sleepover). So anyway, I'm conditioning my hair when I hear screaming from the bedroom--Luke woke up and rolled off the bed. I'd put pillows around him, so he would have had to put some effort into it. Luckily, it's low to the ground and we have carpets. Anyway, I pick him up (naked and soaked), and I have to carry him into the girls' room because that's where the monitor is. I buzz for DH, waking up Celeste in the process--then she starts bawling because I left the room. Anyway, DH came up and took the two of them downstairs. I know he thought he was doing me such a favor--I told him next time, DON'T!

GLT--Loved the pictures. Your kids are adorable! Leif's looking more like a little boy and less like a baby (sniff!) We don't do apple picking per se up here, but we do have a cider mill a few miles away that's a fall "must do". It's actually waterwheel driven, and you can see pretty much the whole operation--very cool. They also sell apples, donuts, etc., and have a ton of activities for the kids, like a dino dig and goats to feed. Not today, though.

Robin--You know, you could compromise and go to WDW, and stay at Carribean Beach or the Poly..and then go to the luau! You know, it would be just like being there! Almost, anyway! I don't know--I think Hawaii is overrated, but my FIL also died there, which I'm sure colors my thinking. Plus, it's such a long flight from here, and having had to do it a few times under the cloud of illness/death, doesn't make my memory any fonder. But hey, include a couple of your DH's favorite restaurants in there, so you can show you're thinking of him, and some "favors" along the way for the next couple months, and you're good!

Oh, and when I was pregnant with Robert, we didn't know what we were getting, so my MIL kept demanding a boy. And on her birthday, no less! (I was due 4/15, her birthday's 4/19). And DH was sure it was a boy, but he wasn't obnoxious about it. But I really wanted another girl--how could I not, when I had a beautiful little girl? I don't know why people get so hung up on gender like that.

Hi to everyone else--I have to go claim my DD at her sleeover. She has rehearsal all afternoon, so I hope she got some sleep!

Z- Sorry, you asked me the dates before and I spaced it. We are 'planning' on going March 21-29, or something in that vicinity. The kids are out of school March 21st- April 1st, but Shades only has rooms until the 25th I think. So I might pull the kids out of school on the 20th, and have that be our travel day. I think Joshua doesn't even have school the 19th and 20th anyway. Right now I am *hoping* to stay at Shades say the 20th-25th and then WL the 25th- 29th. :teeth: Now would be the time to do it if we want to have another stay at the WL, as after Molly turns 3 we can't fit 5 in a (standard) room there.

Moms- I don't even want to say it or think it, but if we do end up going to WDW this March, I am not sure if I am going to be at the 08 meet if Mom and I go to France that spring or summer. I just think my DH would be like, "DISNEY OVERKILL DISNEY OVERKILL." Hopefully I can still come, even if it's just a long weekend by myself. The flight would be worth it even if I can only stay 2-3 nights if I can meet up with some of you gals! And he knows that trip is important to me. Is anyone going to be at WDW that last week in March, 07?

Hillbeans- how did the walk go? Did it end up raining on you?

Jill- Yes, how was the reunion? Was it fun? Did you recognize a lot of people? Post a picture if you took any!

FF & Z- that's amazing about the Peg Perego strollers! Now I'm tempted to go to TJ Maxx and look!

GLT- hope you find something fun to do today with the kiddoes. I hate it when my DH doesn't fall asleep in the bed either; he doesn't do it often anymore, but it's annoying. I just tell him to get his buns up to bed! :teeth:

Well, at noon today I am getting the kid's portraits done at Flash. I will post the link later today....we're bringing the Peter Pan costumes! I can't wait to see how they turn out. I bought the boys some coordinating shirts to go with Molly's dress in a regular pose, but I'm not sure I like the colors now....oh well!

Disagain- I’d be upset about the “oops baby” comment too. People say that to my parents all the time because they have so many children all spaced out.

DisKim- That’s great news about your aunt! I’m so glad she’s going to be fine! I agree with needing to appreciate life more. A lot of times we spend so much time concentrating on unimportant things instead of appreciating each other.

Alice- Yeah, I always joke with my mom that they must have put the discount grocery store two blocks from the hospital for a reason (all those elderly people in such close space and trying to drive through that parking lot). That’s why I stock up on stuff when I go there, so I don’t have to go back for a long time.
That’s great news about WDW! I hope you get to try out the Poly. We were there for three nights in December 2004. It was sooo convenient to be at a monorail resort. LOL about your husband’s meal choices! He has a fine pallet there!
I’m really sorry about your friend. It sounds like they’re trying to come up with a ridiculous reason to fire her, and that’s really sad.

Jill- Sorry you’re having such a rough time with everything. I’m sure Katie had a good birthday anyway.

Nucpharm- Great news about the job! My mom is a pharmacist too, and she loves her job. The treasure hunt sounds like a lot of fun :)

Buzznbelle- I hate that “perfect family” stuff too. I really feel like the perfect family is the one you’re happy in. I’m glad Jocelyn had fun at the rec night.

Gottalovethem- I feel for your DD. I was a notorious school hater myself. I wanted to be home with my mom and my little brother. Great pictures! I love that Leif’s two little teeth are poked out.

FloridaFam- Glad you had a good day at the spa. We missed apple picking with DH’s family because we were doing things at the house this year. Next weekend we’re supposed to do pumpkin picking and 6Flags Frightfest, so that should be fun. I know I have some Halloween decorations somewhere, but good luck in finding them!

Tykes- I never heard of a scrapbooking weekend. I could really use one of those! I actually think I’m going to ask my mom for a crafting table for Christmas. I have room for something like that in the basement and then I could actually spread out and work on my pages.

Hillbeans- I hope your walk went well today.

Zalansky- Great news about the Boardwalk!

The sleepover went well. The kids were all tired, so they were asleep by 9:30 or so. My mom was stuck working the evening shift, so she missed the party but came over during the day to help us clean and get the house ready. I was able to hang most of my stuff in the closet at last, and we finished Olivia’s room. It looks so great! I have to take pictures as soon as DH empties the memory card.

I almost cried when we packed Olivia’s bassinet into the attic. So now she’s sleeping in her crib. She did perfect last night. She didn’t fall asleep until 10:30 or so, but she slept right through the night in her room and woke up gurgling instead of screaming.

The housewarming was fun. We had a few people have to cancel, but we ate and played Scene It and cards. DFriend got me a couple of small pieces from my china set, which I put promptly into the cabinet. I was hoping to work on the porch lights today, but its raining, so probably not the best time to be doing outdoor electrical stuff.

Happy Sunday all! :sunny:

We've been really busy this weekend. We ran over to a friend's house yesterday to watch the Purdue/Notre Dame football game (DH went to Purdue)--luckily there was an Old Navy w/in walking distance, so I took the kids and left the guys to be the football fanatics they are--then it was off to church and then Dsis and Dbil came over for dinner and to talk about how to budget their $$ effectively--My DH is like the "budget nazi" so he was doing most of the talking. Today my dad was in a 50 mile bike race, so we were out for him with the water and support. It was cool--they just opened the longest pedestrian bridge here in Little Rock (it spans the Arkansas river) and the bike race was for the grand opening--then off to the grocery store--so hopefully now we can relax a little

Alice--if you end up going to WDW we will miss you by a week--we are heading down to Florida on Good Friday (April 6th--I think) and then will be there through the next Monday. Too bad--but your trip sounds like so much fun!!

z--glad to hear that your waitlist came through. For our trip in April I just went ahead and booked SSR b/c I figured since it's the prime week to go that I wasn't going to bother with waitlisting--and since we might not do parks everyday, that way we're w/in walking distance to DTD. We'll have to plan to meet up at the mall in Ellenton when we're there--b/c DMIL and I will definitely plan a whole day for shopping! :Pinkbounc

SL--how was the wedding?

Hillbeans--I think it was you who asked, but yeah, I'm licensed as a pharmacist, but I'm not technically going "back to work" I'm just going to work one weekend a month, but even that little extra $$$ will be nice for vacation

ff--glad you had such a great time on your Spa day! I had one just about a month or so ago,a nd I'm so ready to do it again!!

GLT--Leif is getting sooooo big!!! I was just looking at the pics of our outing the other day, and just in that short amount of time it's amazing how much they change. All your kids are just beautiful!!

Well, I better go--Matthew has been asleep for 2 hrs. so he's due up any moment, and I haven't had a shower yet today! EEKK!! Have a great relaxing afternoon all!

Hi all. I'm feeling super lousy but declined a trip to Urgent Care. I figured they'll just tell me to take the Sudafed, Robitussen, and Tylenol. I started crying this morning when I couldn't stop coughing.
DH has had Jimmy out of the house all day, which is a big help. I've managed to sneak in a nap or two and had some soup for lunch. I'm still up in the air as to whether or not I'll be going to school tomorrow. I'm thinking I'm going to be staying home.

I hope you're all having a good Sunday.

Fellow SAHMoms- Have you ever had anyone make a rude comment to you about being a SAHM? I had an Usborne show last night. During my introduction I always say that I am a former teacher who is now a SAHM. I had a lady blurt out something like "we'll see how long that lasts for you". I thought that was so rude. It really upset me and totally threw off my presentation for the night. At least she ended up buying over $100 worth of books. ;)

SL- Have a great trip!

Alice- If we go during spring break, it will be March 12-16. I am having Jenna's picture taken tomorrow in her Tink costume. A photographer near my parent's house is doing an enchanted forrest background. It was suggested that girls dress like fairies for the pic, so that is why I decided that she would be Tinkerbell for Halloween. She doesn't like wearing the costume, so I hope she does well for the phorographer.

nucpharm- When do you start work?

Ginamarie- Glad the sleepover and housewarming party went well.

zalansky- I have a new TJMaxx store just a few miles from my house, and I love it.

BnBM- Hope your afternoon is going better than your morning. Hope Luke is OK.

GLT- Great photos of the kiddos.

Hillbeans- Good luck with your low carb plan. I think you look great just the way you are.

floridafam- Good luck with your tests tomorrow.

Jill- How was the reunion?

fabumouse- Hope Kailey has a good week at school.

lissawynn- Did you make it to the fair? Hope you feel better soon!

Tamie- The scrapbook retreat sounds like fun.

Hi to all other Moms. I really need do some housework before leaving for my parent's house for a few days.

 TTFN!

DH is out of town this weekend and part of the week so I'm flying solo. My parent's took Tyler out to dinner so I could get a little break.

j&d - What a horrible comment by that woman!! She must have tried it and not been able to handle it so now she's bitter.

Robin - I can't wait to see the pics. LOL about your DH's dining list, that's quite a list. My husband's list is LeCellier and Beaches and Cream!

I don't know if we'll be able to do a big family trip for the mom's meet either. I want to bring Tyler again before he's 3 and that would be April. We might go in January of '08. I was thinking about saving up my money and just trying to sneak out there by myself. Maybe you and I should share a room Robin :)

ginamarie - Glad your housewarming party was a success. That sounds like a lot of fun!

glt - I love the pics! Your kids are so adorable. I love Leif's 2 teeth!! So cute!

lissawynn - I'm so sorry you are feeling so awful! That's great that you've been able to rest a bit today though.

ff - great deal on the stroller!

zalansky - hi  That's great that you got the resort you wanted!

nucpharm - sounds like you had a fun and busy weekend!

I just heard the dog barking and it reminded me that she needs to get out! I'll talk to you all later.

tamie

Stick a fork in me, I am DONE!

Nothing tires me out like getting the kids' portraits taken. Seriously. Then the gal ringing me up didn't even understand their whole specials going on (in huge print in the sign in the window!) so I am due a 5x7 still, which I did not have the energy to choose at this time. Basically you get the portraits taken and come back an hour later to view and order. I pick them up on Weds so I will just choose the 5x7 then. Irritating.

If you wanna looksie, here is the website- www.flashportraits.com last name: Black; Password: molly. I ordered the closeup of Molly's face, the one that says Miss Molly down the side and the one of her sitting backwards in the chair, kind of a close up. And then I ordered one of the 3 kids standing and 1 of the 3 kids sitting, a close up of their faces. And then I am due another 5x7 of them in their Halloween costumes.

We went to lunch and I'm feeling a bit nauseous now. The boys and my MIL (and DH) are on the river right now til after 5, so I am just going to relax for awhile and then vacuum and mop. We were going to a BBQ at my folks, but graciously they offered to bring the food up here so we didn't all have to go down there....

Jen and Steph- I'm sorry we might miss you by just a week on either side. Dh said today he might want to try Hoop Dee Doo- any thoughts here? Worth the money? Yes? No? I think we are going to 9 or 10 days and I only want to do the parks about 7 days. I mean, ahem, IF we go. ;) Maybe Holly or Loretta can come out for a day or so to hang out? Pretty please? :teeth:

Jen- I hate it when people say stupid things like that too...even my best friend didn't think I would do the SAHM thing for more than a year. It's like, "why do you care?" I mean really, why do people care who stays at home, and who works? What works for one family, doesn't always work for another. I'm glad she at least made a big purchase and you made some money off her lame brain comment.

BNB- oh no about Luke falling off the bed! Poor guy! That's happened in our household when DH was supposed to be 'watching' them too. Then again, it's happened when I am in the room too. :rolleyes1 I hope your week isn't too terribly hectic with your DH working so much. I am dreading tomorrow- I have a jam-packed day and I don't have those too often anymore.

Gina- glad the sleepover went well, as well as the housewarming. That's nice your friend gave you some china! And good for Olivia for sleeping so nicely in her crib! :cloud9:

lissawynn- have you tried a humidifier at all? Would that help your sinuses? Or some eucalyptus ointment maybe? :grouphug:

OK, I am going to lay down for awhile. I forgot the stroller today, so I had to lug Molly from the mall parking lot all the way to the store, and back, and then back again when we went to choose pics. My back is sore!

ETA- Tamie, I'm totally up for sharing a room for the mom's meet for a couple nights if our families are not able to join us. That's definitely a thought!

 Robin - Now your DH is just being greedy. :lmao:

I LOVE those photos of your kids - how can you possibly pick only one?? There one of the three of them that is just perfect. The first page, on the left, second from bottom - what a great shot!

Hillbeans - I love watching DD5 play soccer. I love how they all chase the ball - my MIL who used to coach, calls it "chicken ball" because they're like chickens chasing after food. :teeth:

And I am *very* vague about the disboards. I refer to them as the "pregnancy" board since that was the only time I ever mentioned the Dis to family. ;)

Good luck on the low carb diet - my IL's have done it with good success. I think it would make me a little crazy.

GLT - what is *up* with your computer?? That would make me a little nutso. Your family is so adorable - love those teeth!

Z- congrats on getting the Boardwalk! I love that area.

BnB - how did Luke get over the pillows?? Poor baby. Kailey did that once and we felt terrible - we were both there, but not expecting it. And the only person in the family who has ever cared about the gender of the next baby was Kailey - she desperately wanted a baby sister. Whew!!! :p

J&D - No matter what I do, I've had people make snarky comments. When I was pregnant and working, I had a number of male attorneys come into my office to tell me how much better kids do when their moms stay home - one guy even gave me a NY Times article about how kids in daycare are more likely to be violent! Then I left work to be a SAHM because DH travels all the time and we needed someone to be home more, and I now have friends who cannot introduce me with just my name or that I'm a SAHM, they always have to say that I'm an attorney with a knowing look - like don't worry, she's one of *us*, this is only temporary. One friend suggested that my current status was one of being on "vacation". Oh, give me a break! But you know, I can't please everyone.

Hi ladies. I have so much catching up to do. My dad's visit went well. I went to the hospital to see my aunt today. She looked horrible and the doctor said the mass was not bacterial so they just have no idea what it was. We do know that it certainly was not cancer. She is going to have a major recovery ahead of her.

I think I'm taking tomorrow off. It's my birthday and I didn't see the kids today so I'd like to see them tomorrow. The only problem is I can't get through to any of my friends to have them take in lesson plans.
