Hi all. I was going to post yesterday afternoon, but I got tied up with Jimmy and other stuff going on.

My drs. appointment went well. I was there all of 5 minutes. The dr. said the heartbeat was good and that the baby was moving around like crazy. Another EK on my hands?
I scheduled the rest of my appointments through Dec. It's hard to get appointments after 4:00 only a few weeks in advance. Anyway, they wanted to put me in at 4:00 on the day before Thanksgiving. The traffic is going to be horrific, so I cancelled. I rescheduled for that Monday. They keep trying to give me appointments with Dr. X, who I really don't like. He did a procedure on me when we couldn't figure out why we weren't getting pg (the one where they put dye through your fallopian tubes). He just rubbed me the wrong way and I really don't want to see him. The nurse on the phone kept saying, "We really like you to see everyone." I told her politely (at least 3 times) that I had seen him once, didn't really care for him, and would prefer not to see him again. She finally got it and gave me another dr.
My level II ultrasound is scheduled for Sept. 25, and we will be finding out what we're having.
I am having trouble sleeping, so I'm up and finally got the laundry started. It's about freaking time.

Alice - I'm trying to post the out to lunch bag that I got, but Photobucket is down at the moment. I got the Classic Black. I have the old Classic Black, so this will kind of match. Btw, your neighbor sounds like a jealous jerk. I hope your DH shut him up for good.

Jill - I hope you have a great trip to DL!

Hillbeans - I hope you and your family have a great time in OC! Have a slice of Mack n Manco's for me! We're going down the Sat. before Labor Day to eat and take one last stroll on the boardwalk.

Val and Tamie - I love Project Runway! I really like Laura, but I don't think she's got what they're looking for in the final three. I also really like Michael and think he'll make it to the finals.

bellacam - I'm glad all is well with the baby. You're better than I am with not finding out what you're having. I could never do that.

joats - Your popsicle incident is funny but not so funny for you. I hope your DH's back is better soon.

Ginamarie - It sounds as if you had a good day at the outlets. I'm just beginning to realize that I'm going to need to furnish the new baby's room, a new bathroom, and get new window treatments for our bedroom, Jimmy's room, and the new living room. I'm gonna spend a fortune on curtains!

ryan - Congrats on your closing! I can't wait to see pics of your new home!

I'm headed back to the laundry!

Good morning!

Work is so busy with all the people leaving (besides the one guy who's job was eliminated, there are 2 more quitting) I offered to come in an extra day until school starts. Starting next week, I'll be working Tuesdays too. I could really use the extra money for WDW and for school anyway. My mom said she doesn't mind watching Lucas for that extra day. How could she?!?!?! :teeth:

llij - I'm sure you're off on your trip by now, but I hope you have a great time and safe travels.

tkyes - I'm thinking big wooden puzzles and Little People sets would be good for that age.

hillbeans - Glad there's no permanent damage to Kevin's tooth.

ryan - Congrats on the closing date! I hope all goes well!

Alice28 - Good for your DH saying something to that idiot neighbor. Some people. I wasn't able to get on yesterday at work and after dinner we had to make a grocery store run. Sorry I missed everyone!

joats - I'm sorry, but I was :rotfl2: at your poor lip incident. Sounds like something I would do.

tasha - Glad school went well and Kylie liked her daycare. I haven't heard of any Kylies around here, but we don't get out much and everyone I know has boys.

floridafam - Good luck with the bathroom remodel.

Gem - What strange coworkers! I wonder what's up? Maybe they're just jealous of what you get to work on.

ginamarie - Glad you got the keys straightened out. That's happened to me and DH before, but I was the one who took his keys.

bellacam - Good luck with school. Rubber duckies was my sister's shower theme. She had these really cute little soaps shaped like rubber duckies as favors.

val - I hope that migrane didn't get any worse.

lissawynn - Uh-oh. I hope you don't have another EK on your hands.

ahutton - Congratulations on the new job and good luck with the move!

Hi J&D, glt, justhat, BnB, DisneyPhd, and all the other moms!

We don't have much planned for today so I hope to check in more often. I have to run to CVS with a new prescription and maybe get Lucas a new sippy cup.

This is the new VB Out to Lunch bag that I bought. I really have to be more conscienscious about taking my lunch to school. I'm going to need that extra money for curtains in our new rooms!

outtolunch.jpg

Jimmy is up and watching Dora. I've managed to get some cleaning done. I just have to drag myself back down to the basement to switch the laundry around.

SL - Looking forward to more posts from you!

Good morning!

Joats - Like everyone else has said the popsicle story was very funny, thanks for sahring! :rotfl: Good way to start the day.

Lissa - cute new bag! Glad you got your appts all set up. It is going to go by so fast....the next thing we know you will be delivering! The level 2 US is so cool.

Robin - Do you guys have the Wiggles Hoop Dee Doo and Yummy Yummy? Those are my favorties of theirs. I also have a Christmas video of theirs I LOVE. We have been playing our again lately alot for Cameryn. It has been good to see their faces again. We had taken Connor to a concert for them when he was turning two years old and I think I had more fun than he did.

bellacam - glad your doctor visit went well and things are looking so good! Kudos to you for not finding out the sex of the baby. I could never do it myself, I HAD to know.

tkyes - YAY for you saving that money in your trip! It is good to keep an eye for codes and other deals. I saw that VISA deal. Glad it was able to save you mnore money, to spend!!!

ryan - congrats on the closing date!

FF - when is your next Disney trip? I know you posted but I forget.

Hi to everyone else! :wave2:

Has anyone ever eaten at the Garden Grill in Epcot? I booked it for our December trip for the Candlelight Processional dinner package. Last year we did Le Cellier, but DH wanted something that would entertain the kids so we are doing the character meal. Plus, it was the cheapest restaurant to get too. Also I think DH was not thrilled with his meal at Le Cellier anyway. Off I go to take a shower and relax. It is so nice having Connor in pre-school so I can have time for myself in the mornings and he loves it too.

Have a great day ladies.

Morning Mommies,

SL,

Great news on working an extra day. :thumbsup2

lissawynn,

I love the lunch tote. You must be so excited about your addition. I'm ga ga over just a bathroom remodel. We are going today to look at more tile. DH kind of wants a Key West feel in that bathroom so I'm going to see what we can find. I have no objections to a KW theme.

I'm glad your appt. went well.

zalansky,

FYI-J. Crew is doing an additional 20% off their sale stuff. I know you've mentioned that you shop there.

Some of the stuff sold out before I had a chance to check out but I expect it to be available again tomorrow.

joats,

OMG about your lip.

ginamarie,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hi to everyone I missed. The kids have orientation at their school tonight and they are really excited. They both have the same teacher so we probably won't be there for long.

Have a great day. :wave2:

Happy Birthday Ginamarie! party: :bday:

My cats are trying to escape. Our basement screen door needs to be fixed or replaced. The bottom screen has come out of the frame. I tried to fix it with duck tape, but it didn't work. When I went downstairs to switch the laundry, Harry, our outside rescue kitty, looked as if he was about to head outside. Then while I was in the shower, Hank, the fat b*****d, was up on the window ledge. We don't have a screen in that window, and I swear, he was trying to get out. Let them see what life's like outside kitty cat heaven.

Hi gals-

Gems- My parents will be at the Alveston Hotel today thru Saturday doing local touring. Part of it on their own. The company they've been on their tour with ends tomorrow. They are with a couple they've been friends with since I was a teen, and the man lived in that area as a boy. I don't think he's a Brit, but his father did some work or something over there. Sunday they are traveling back to London via train and doing a few more days in London.

lissawynn- I cannot believe your ultrasound is in just a few weeks! 5-6 weeks I guess? So cool. I can't wait til you share with us! Like the lunchbox! :thumbsup2

SL- yay for more money for WDW! Have fun running errands today!

FF- hope the teacher orientation goes well! A Key West bathroom sounds great!

Z- I don't have those Wiggles DVDs...I have seen the Christmas one at a friend's house and want to buy it for the kids this year. I like how they incorporate the real meaning of Christmas too, along with the Santa stuff. We do have that CD and the Yummy Yummy one. Thanks for the recommendation! I also loved their concert- I took the boys when Josh was almost 3 and Sam was 6. Sam liked it, but was a little too old I guess. I periodically check their website to see when they will be on the west coast again....they're on the other side of the country right now.

I finally slept well last night. I haven't been sleeping well with either neck or shoulder pain, or headaches. I know when we get our new bed, my shoulder problems will go away. Our mattress is just way too firm. If anyone is in the market for a mattress, we went with a company named Bragada- I'll let you know what I think of the bed, but I was just so happy to find a company with the same degree of firmness as the Tempurpedic's advertise, for so much cheaper.

Well, Molly went upstairs without me- gotta go find her. She already brought part of a sandwich she found (Josh left it on the table) and got PEANUT BUTTER in the carpet! I just about died. It came out- I think the carpet is a stainmaster carpet if I remember correctly, but still. We got her dresser upstairs last night (that was a pain) so now I have to carry up the loads of clothes and blankets.

/
I sold my first growth chart (to someone other than my mom ;) ) I sent out a flyer to friends and family yesterday. I'm so excited!

Anyone else extremely dissapointed with Project Runway last night? Vincent is dreadful, he should have been gone already. The cute blonde (can't remember her name) is very talented IMO. She'll be successful without the show, but I was still really bummed to see her go and Vincent stay.

val - Glad the rash is almost gone!!

lissawynn - Any predictions on what your having? I can't wait to hear! Good luck with your escape kitties.

ff - A Key West theme sounds like fun! Have fun with orientation.

alice - Oh no about the PB on the carpet! Sorry to hear you haven't been sleeping well. I hope the new bed fixes your problems.

zalansky - I've only been to the Garden Grill for the ice cream social. I have a friend who ate there and liked it. Your mornings to yourself sound nice!

sl - That's great that you can get some extra money for WDW! Of course your mom doesn't mind. Who would mind watching that curly haired little doll one extra day? :)

Old Navy has their halloween costumes up online now. I was leaning towards a lion, but the monkey is sooo cute! I think I'll have to take Tyler and see what looks cuter on him. He does roar like a lion, but he sure acts like a monkey. lol

We are going to the zoo today and tomorrow. Today with friends and tomorrow with my Grandma. Should be fun. Talk to you all later.

Tamie

Hello again. Lucas is finally napping. Here's a question for you all: when do you clip kids' nails? I'm sure the older ones can probably tolerate it awake, but I have to do it while Lucas is sleeping. Unless DH is home so he can hold and distract him. Needless to say, Lucas got his manicure today. :lmao:

zalansky - We've eaten at the Garden Grill once. I thought it was decent. We're not clamoring to go back, but if we did I'd enjoy myself. I really liked the rotating aspect and the character interaction was pretty good. DH and I had the re-hitching done before they did away with that. It was pretty fun.

lissawynn - I like your new lunchbag. I bring mine in a small handled shopping bag...like the one you get at Bath & Body Works when you only by a lotion or something. I should really get something a little nicer.

floridafam - Have a good time at the open house. Do they have the same teacher as last year or the same teacher as each other?

Alice28 - Glad you slept well. I was at the chiropractor myself yesterday and I know some people don't believe in that, but I swear my back was feeling so good last night I didn't wake up once.

tkyes - Congrats on selling a growth chart! That must have felt good!

I decided to hold the errands off until this afternoon. The mornings go by so quickly but the afternoons have those couple hours that kind of drag by, no matter what we're doing.

Alice- Right now it looks like my closing will be on September 1st. I can’t believe how quickly that’s approaching and how much I need to get done before then. That sounds exactly how my DH reacted when I asked if he’s seen my keys.. he got all condescending because how could I be losing things like that, etc, etc. Oh, how his tone changed when he realized he had them!
What is it with people’s stupid comments lately?? I’m starting to think that most people have a grass is always greener attitude, like everyone else’s life must be easier than theirs.
Peanut butter in the carpet sounds pretty bad. The worst carpet cleaning experiences we’ve had were with play doh (I don’t even remember how mom got that out) bleach, and nail polish. We still have a huge discolored spot from the bleach and a bunch of smaller nail polish spots.

Jill- I cant listen to the 911 tapes at all. They take me right back to that morning, calling people frantically to see if they made it out of the buildings. I deliberately avoided all the news reports last night because I knew they’d be playing calls. :(

Tykes- I watch Project Runway too. I got my sisters into it, so we usually find some time to watch it together on Thursdays now (Dsis(8) can’t stay up until 11 to watch it when it airs). I haven’t seen last night’s episode yet, but I’m looking forward to it. A scrapbooking day sounds wonderful! I have so much of that to do, but it will make some good winter projects after we’re settled in the new house.

Lissawynn- I’m glad you didn’t get stuck with the bad doctor. I’ve only had one doctor treat me that I refused to go back to. I needed to get a tumor removed from my arm, and my surgeon wanted me to see an orthopedist. He kept poking at the tumor and asking if it hurt. I kept saying YES, it HURTS, and he’d poke some more. I don’t even want to think about curtains! I’m going to worry about it after the painting and moving is done. Hopefully I can get some inexpensive fabric at Walmart to make my own. Of course I have no idea how to make curtains, but it can’t be too hard.

SL- Good luck with the extra work day. It’s amazing how much more money you can make by working just one extra day. My mom and DH both have been working extra days lately and it helps. Cute lunch bag!

Zalansky- I love the Garden Grill! I think it’s one of the most underrated restaurants in Epcot. That’s where we were planning to go on Halloween before I had to cancel the trip. All of the food is very fresh and flavored nicely, and the character interaction is great. We must have seen each character at least three times. Especially good were the mashed potatoes and grilled flank steak, and I remember being pretty full by the time the dessert came out, but it looked so delicious that DH and I ate the whole thing anyway (it was like a warm cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top).

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Actually, my birthday is on Saturday, but good wishes are good anytime. :smooth: DH keeps saying he’s really sorry that he hasn’t bought me anything, but I really don’t want him spending money on a “birthday gift” when we’re so tight on cash for the house and I know we’re going to need a bunch of things for the new house soon.

OK, I need to get back to work. I have a lot more motion work to get done this week, and mom wants to go to Home Depot today. She’s going to decorate DBro’s room like “Disney Pixar Cars”, and I want to get some paint chips to help decide what colors we’re going to use for the rooms I need to repaint.

Mypoints backpack is at Target - I didn't even notice the helpful hint in the corner until I spend 20 minutes looking.

sl - I clip Tyler's nails while he's awake. I use a scissors actually. He doesn't enjoy it. It takes us a little bit and I have to distract him. It gets done eventually though.

ginamarie - Oh, I'm sorry! I hope I didn't spoil PR for you. I didn't even think about that! That's fun that you watch it with your sisters.

Jimmy is being such a little nudge. He's drooling like crazy and has his fingers in his mouth all day long. He's still missing a few teeth. I thought he was tired and put him in his crib. That lasted all of 5 minutes. I may take him out in the backyard after lunch and let him run around for a while before his nap.

SL - I pretty much pin Jimmy down and cut his nails. I have to do his toenails tonight after his bath. They're like little razors.

Alice - I'm glad you had a good night's sleep. DH and I are probably going to get a king sized mattress once the addition is done. I think we'd both be a lot more comfortable with the extra room in our bed.

Ginamarie - I hope you get to do something special for your bday.

Tamie - Congrats on your sale! I agree that Vincent is a loon. Laura nailed it last night when she said it's just a matter of time before he loses it. Is that what happened to cause him to stop designing in the first place? In the first ep. they said he'd produced a line that sold at Neimans and maybe Saks. Alison was cute, but that dress was terrible. Kayne's wasn't much better, though, but I think the judges are letting him stay to see what he can do.

floridafam - Have fun at tonight's orientation.

zalansky - I haven't eaten at the GG since it was the Good Turn, which must have been a million years ago. I have read pretty good reviews about the food and the changed the menu back to what it was (flank and catfish, I think).

DH called to tell me someone from the bank finally returned his call about refinancing and getting the money for the addition. This woman told him it could take as long as a month. Last year when we bid on a house, we were preapproved in days. Can't they just use the same info if we update it with last year's tax return and W2? This is going to take longer than I expected.

I meant to say that the PB came right out of the carpet. Phew!

Tamie- WOO HOO on selling your first growth chart! :woohoo: That's great!

SL- Molly is weird and actually likes getting her nails trimmed. Maybe it's a girl thing, LOL.

I saw that clue on my points- oh how I want the Target gift card prize! I could do all my shopping for the kids for Christmas for FREE. That would be so awesome. (plus some- since I try to keep it about $125 per child).

GM- wow, your closing date will be here before you know it! How exciting! I got nail polish on the carpet that was ripped out the other day- not good. :sad2:

lissa- sorry Jimmy is being crazy boy today. Do you think you are having another boy, or a girl? I hope the bank doesn't take a month to get your financing!

Z- I haven't been to GG. Sounds like it's good though!

OK, I got the dresser put back together....now I must lug all her stuff up there! I am feeling kind of lazy this morning. I did manage to just spent $70 on LandsEnd.com- DH needed a couple more work shirts and I got one of those cute knit dresses for Molly- I've always admired them and now she's finally big enough to fit in one! I wanted to buy her a few more things, but my mom said she wanted to buy her some clothes for fall, so I'm waiting til she gets back. But it may be awhile til she wants to whip her credit card out after being on vacation for 3 weeks! LOL!

A .05 click just came up at Sunshine. Hurry and get it!!!

This is something fun and helpful that I found on the Budget Board. Go to http://www.zafu.com/zafu/, and it will match you to the jeans that will fit you the best.

Tamie- Congrats on selling your first growth chart. You should post an advertisement on www.matchingmoms.org. It is free. You would need to become a member (also free) and then go to list playgroup/local information.
Thanks for the MyPoints backpack tip.

Alice- Glad the PB came out.

lissawynn- Hope you get your money soon. Cute bag. Can't wait to find out what you are having. We need some more baby girls around her. :goodvibes

SL- I usually just hold Jenna down to cut her nails. I try to distract her by giving her a toy to hold, and I usually just do a few at a time.

Loretta & Alice- Thanks for The Wiggles recommendations. Jenna loves to dance, so I think I'll get her some for Christmas.

floridafam- Hope the kids enjoy their orientation.

Gems- How is work today? Are they treating you any better?

ryan- Good luck with the closing. :wizard:

Ginamarie- Have fun picking out colors for your new house.

Valerie- Did I miss the BB prom? If so, who was king and queen? Can't wait for tonight's episode.

Jill- Hope you had a safe flight!

Hi to all other DIS moms! TTFN!

Thanks everyone for the reassurance that Madison is not a terror. I think my mom expects her to be exactly like I was as a toddler and Madison is really her own little person. But you don't really want to hear from your mom that she's bad, cause you expect her to overlook little flaws. I just to clarify, I do not think anyone else should be responsible for dsiciplining my kids. But I think if I step in everytime she won't listen to my mom then she will not have any respect for her authority and I don't want that. So I try to let them work things out on their own, but my mom just caves right away then get frustrated when Madison won't take her seriously and she can't figure out why. I told her never to ask a 2yo a question unless you are willing to accept whatever answer they give you and she said that is not how she likes to do things, she prefers to explain things and try to reason with them. Madison is simply not at that level yet so if you want to bathe her you've got to do with with "do you want to shower now or after you finish coloring?" rather than "Can I give you a bath now?" And the sock thing, well Madison has always had her weird sensitivities. She was quite the high-need baby and that's settling down thank gosh, but a lot of little things bother her and always have. Wind is a big one-from the time she was born she would stop breathing in a panic if any sort of wind or fan blew across her face. Very quirky child.

I felt pretty good today though when I took them both to the ped myself and Henry's dr complimented me on Madison's behavior and told her what a good sister she is. And I have to say she really is good with him-I could not have asked for an easier transition at all. She really loves him and is so interested in everything he does and always wants to help. The first question she asks every morning when she wakes up is "Where's my baby brother?" Of course, I'm not so sure she realizes he's staying yet. She tends to be an angel when she's alone with me and the baby and really only gets wild when someone else is around, which I'm sure has some significance that I just haven't figured out yet.

Alice28, great photos of your room redo! I love the color you painted Molly's room. Good luck moving all of her clothes. I am actually doing the same thing today as Henry's sharing Madison's dresser, which is in her room downstairs, but the washing machine is upstairs, so after I washed all his stuff I just put it in his crib since he isn't sleeping in it yet, but I'd sorta like to have a place (other than his bouncy seat) to put him when I'm on the computer, and since it's right next to his crib it seems logical to clean it out and use it.

Tamie, congrats on selling the first of many growth charts!

SL, I used to do Madison's nails when she was sleeping, till she was around a year old. Then I started doing it when she was awake and at first she didn't mind but soon it became a battle and my husband had to hold her hands while I cut each nail. Now she loves to have them cut, especially if I put polish on them, though I'm guessing you don't want to do that since you've got a boy!

J&D, that's a neat link you posted. Once I can fit into regular pants again I'll have to give their suggestions a try.

Lissawynn, I can't wait to hear what you're having! I would guess, but I was wrong with both of my kids so you probably wouldn't want my opinion. I hope that by the time you're into school you're feeling a lot better too.

Gems, congrats on having a little boy! Now that I have one of my own I can say they're great! Do you want only 2 kids, or are you planning to have more? I ask cause now that you are having a boy and already have a girl I'm sure you'll hear "Oh, so now you're done?" nonstop so if you are done it works out well. That's probably what made me go into labor, the annoyance of people assuming that one could only want a son and a daughter and telling me all the time!

Bellacam, I can't believe that you're already over halfway there! I give you a lot of credit for not finding out what your baby is too. With Madison I didn't think I wanted to know, but everyone else did so I caved. This time though I just had to know.

Madison is begging me to go outside in her baby pool so I should go. Sorry I didn't get to everyone. Joey's on call tonight so I'll be here myself so I should get some time to catch up again later.

There is .05 cent click on sunshine right now :sunny: ! I haven't had a chance to read the recent posts yet. Will be back later.

Good afternoon, all! Well, my house is cleaned, and now I officially go into packing overload for our trip! I'm real excited, but I have so much to do!

Jill--I know you probably already left, but I hope you have a marvelous time in DL! I hope to go myself, someday. Make sure to tell us all about it.

justthat--Glad to hear things are settling down at your house. I know what you mean about all the "one of each" comments. When I was pregnant with DS, I wanted another girl. I figured, I already had the clothes, and I liked the one I had--how could I NOT want another girl? The comment that annoyed me the most was, after I had Robert, everyone would say, "the perfect family!" Does that make any other type, besides "one of each", IMperfect? I just don't get that.

Alisa--I like Project Runway, too, but don't watch it at night--I generally catch it when the rerun it during the day. The one that annoys me the most is Jeffrey. He keeps saying he's the only one there with any vision, but he never wins (unless he did last night). He doesn't even place in the top. So, shut up already!

And by the way, on the doctor thing--you have the right to refuse medical care from anyone, and you don't have to give a reason. It's the law. If you go into labor, and the "wrong" doctor is on call that night, you have the right to request someone else. If you feel strongly about it, you may even want to write that into your birth plan or something else that you take with you to the hospital. Of course, if you're crowning, it may not be worth arguing about. But seriously, Dh and I had a plan in place for if I went into labor at home and the "wrong" paramedic showed up. I'm being totally honest when I say I had more faith in Jocelyn (at 7 1/2!) than I did in this particular person. Fortunately, it didn't come down to that, but know your rights.

I can't believe we have 2 house closings coming up, and a few babies growing! How exciting! And the only thing I have going on is this trip, and surviving until school starts.

Jocelyn had her appointment for contacts today, and hopefully gets them next week before our Disney trip. She has an astigmatism in one eye, so she needs two different types of contacts.

Jocelyhn is putting Luke in his Halloween costume. Man, is he going to be embarressed in 15 years or so!

I don't know if we'll be able to keep up the walking once school starts, but they do have indoor walking at the school once the snow flies and the track is out of commission. Celeste has never, ever liked the stroller--she may change her mind after a day or two in the parks, but we're trying to plan as if she won't. And you're right, the exercise is good for all of us.

Well, I have to go--clearly, the organ grinder's monkey has some "issues" with his big sister!

I got all of Molly's stuff upstairs; and weeded thru at least 1/3 of it for either Goodwill, ebay or the trash. I also gave the neighbor a toy storage thingee- one of those wooden racks with the primary plastic bins you place on the racks. The boys don't need it anymore, and I'm being picky, but I didn't want the primary colors in Molly's room. Dear Neighbor was happy to have it....and I found a size small pack of Little Mermaid swim diapers in the back of her dresser- must have been from last summer and it looks like I used one. So I gave those to neighbor too for her baby girl to be. :sunny:

Actually, everything is in its place now except the TVs. The boy's TV was put in their room, but just on the floor- we need to mount it on the wall. And our TV needs to be taken upstairs. I just need to vacuum this afternoon and clean some bathrooms. And fold some laundry. It NEVER ends!

I ordered the small Thomas Kinkade DL print off of ebay. Only $26 (it's just a reproduction, matted). I was going to pay $108 at DL, but it was in a nice frame. This way I can wait for Michael's to have one of their 40 or 50% off one item coupons, and go buy a frame for it. It will look nice in my new bedroom.

Justhat- I'm so glad Madison is adjusting well to little brother! That's so neat! I hope you were able to get the clothes and stuff put away. I have a quiet night ahead of me too- DH has to work late, late....but he said he would come home around 2 tomorrow. Secretly, I like when he works late on BB7 nights- he thinks it's the most ridiculous show, and although sometimes he will watch with me, and feign interest, he spends part of the time talking about how lame they all are....then I can't hear what they're saying! :furious: He thinks my reality show addiction is so silly, but it's all in good fun. He said if that's my only habit he doesn't like, he's pretty lucky. No-freaking-kidding! :teeth: He's in for a treat this fall, when Survivor and Amazing Race come back on. :rotfl:

BNB- hope Jocelyn's appts go well! What was she dressing Luke in? I am going to go to the Disney Store in a few weeks to check out their costumes...costco too. They only had a couple at TDS last week and when I asked the girl when the costumes would be in she just kind of shrugged and said, "Sometime in the next couple of weeks." And she was a manager! Nice enthusiasm for your product. I see Children's Place costumes go for BIG bucks on ebay- maybe I should buy there just for the resale value. :rolleyes1

OK, I gotta get off here and finish my daily rounds of this house.

Hi moms, I'm getting ready to head to my grandmas for the weekend to do the garage sale, but I need to ask you for some prayers if you can spare them. My aunt called to let me know that my grandma is in the hospital (not uncommon for her anymore, especially at 89 years old- she actually had a small heart attack a couple of weeks ago) and it's the same thing that happened to her about a year and a half ago and we were told she would die. It turned out that they (the hospital) actually planned on letting her die instead of treating her for a simple infection, just because she had a do not recessitate (sp) order  That's a whole other story, but it really accellerated her dimensia and landed her a permanent spot in the nursing home. I think she'll pull through physically (the woman refuses to die, she keeps fooling us! :rotfl: ) but I'm worried what her mind will be like after this. She still knows us (for the most part, she does forget names and mixes us up) and is still her very spunky self, which is why it's so hard to see her going down like this. Everyone who knows my grandma knows what a pistol she is- until she wound up in the nursing home she was out dancing 3 nights a week and has always had guys fighting over her :worship: I won't even mention on here what my aunt found in her nightstand when they cleaned her room out :scared: but it didn't surprise me to hear it (although I could have lived happily to the end of my days not knowing :lmao: ). So anyway, if you could please send some good vibes her way I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!!

ryan - I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I'll be sending prayers her way.

Alice28 - Do you have a picture of what the painting looks like? Sounds perfect for your bedroom.

BnB - Good luck with all that packing again. It seems like you just unpacked from your last trip!

justhat - I agree with you about talking to toddlers. There's a pamphlet we give out at work called something like "Do you want to wear your red socks or blue socks?" It gives them a sense of control, being able to make decisions. Asking those types of questions at least brings them to a conclusion the parent wants. Or so I've read. ;)

J&D - Thanks for that link to the jeans fitter. I just bought a pair from American Eagle (the ones I got the free movie tickets for trying on) and they were on the list. And they weren't $180 either!

lissawynn - I hope your loan doesn't take that long to come through.

ginamarie - Happy (early) Birthday! I hope it's a good one.

DH is having 2nd thoughts about Lucas being a pirate for Halloween this year. He's worried that because of PotC the movie and the ride re-vamp there will be a million little pirates running around. I'm not too impressed the the Disney Store's selection so far. I guess if worse comes to worse he can just be Mickey Mouse or something. I want to stay with a Disney theme and it's not like Lucas cares what he is!
