I'm glad to hear that everyone had a nice Christmas!

Robin - I have to hit Petco today but I think Emmy is going to insist on bringing the dog. I'm not really big on after-Christmas shopping. The sales don't seem that good until January. I do want to hit Yankee Candle though!

The dog is doing so well! We found out that my neice had never taken him outside. Emily has been very vigilant in getting him out and he is doing very well. He is so darn cute! He's playing with his toys right now that Santa brought for him.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice Christmas. Lucas loved it. He enjoyed unwrapping his gifts, although the going was a little slow. He really got a kick out of the TMX Elmo although it's not his favorite gift by far. He LOVES the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse tool set we bought from the Disney Store. He had to drag that thing around everywhere we went yesterday. Other gifts he liked are the Elmo shaking chair, an activity cube, a bubble machine, and the Little Einstein dolls. He also got a lot of cute clothes. Here are a few pictures.

DisKim - Glad to hear it's going well with the puppy. Too bad it spoiled it's own surprise.

hillbeans - I'm at work today too, but then I'm off until Friday. Great pictures!

glt - Glad you were able to go to Ohio. I hope you and your kids had a great Christmas.

alice28 - Wow!! You enjoy that spa gift cert!

dizagain - What's a Spin Spa? I don't think I've heard of it.

ff - Enjoy your shopping! I can't wait to get started spending all my Target cards.

val - Sorry you're sick. I hope you can get to the dr today.

Tasha - All your jewelry sounds so pretty. I'm so sorry about the families with the fires. So sad.

Hi to all the other moms! Sorry I can't respond personally right now - boss just walked in and I'm pretty shocked! I didn't think they'd bother today.

Good Morning everyone! Here is our Christmas Chaos! We had a very plentiful Christmas this year!
I'm sorry to hear so many are sick. That's awful about the dog bite as well.

Have a great "Boxing Day" everyone!

Good morning!!

Our Xmas was good, until DH went to his parents house and the kids opened all their presents and DH opened his and then they came hom an hour later - and DH realized there was nothing for me. Now don't get me wrong, I did not expect anything from the resident evil but considering that we got them 2 giftcards and DH signed my name on them I would have thought that we would have gotten one combined giftcard back. DH got into it with his mother and now I have decuded that they won't be seeing the kids at all anymore period. And in the future if they want to give my kids presents, they will have to bring them here where I can watch my kids faces as they open those gifts. After all, these are MY children. I know it may all sound childish but I am tired of the MIL's baby games and two can play her game. ;)

We then went to my Dads which was great except my Dad does not seem to be doing well at all. I won't go into detail but I don't expect him to live much longer. Seeing him sent me over the edge to I started drinking my infamous holiday Kir Royale drinks and my niece is 23 years old and joined me drink for drink - the thing is she is 23 and I am 38 and I have zero tolerance so by 9pm I was trashed. We left and I don't remember much of the ride home and feel like poop today.

DH got me a tiffany necklace (silver), Tommy Bahama perfume, an awesome new slim Casio camera, some much needed new undergarments and other assorted things. It was a great Xmas except for the obvoius depressing issue with my Dad. I forgot that babies don't care about presents - they'd rather play with the boxes and paper and we overbought for Cami. I will keep that in mind for next year because she will just be over two then.

Robin - how is Molly?

Hillbeans & SL - Great pics! I wonder if I even took any with my new camera? I was too busy drinking like a fool. I will check that out and maybe post some later if I got any!

Have a great day ladies. Thank God DH is off this week!

I've discovered that this I-pod DH got me is a wonderful thing. I've got it blasting while I DIS and I can't hear DH or the kids. The dog just peed on one of the letters Santa wrote to the kids. Overall, he's doing pretty good but he's got a long way to go. DH is in love with the dog. I'm totally shocked because he hates dogs in general. He was playing with it this morning and I was looking at him like he had lost his mind.

Zalansky - Your MIL sounds like a royal *itch!! I'm so sorry about your father. I would have gotten drunk too. I couldn't drink yesterday because I was so tired that I would have fallen on the floor.

cabmom and SL - Great pictures! The kids are so cute.

I hardly took any pictures yesterday morning because I was so preoccupied with handing out the gifts. DH set up 3 cameras and the tricaster (whatever that is) from work and is going to download everything onto DVD. Now I just want all this equipment out of my house. It is so messy!

OK, here is one of my IL Christmas stoies from yesterday. DH's brother's wife is rather odd to say the least. I've talked about her before. She is the one I really can't stand so I try to avoid her at all costs. Well, DH's neice is getting married in May. I guess my SIL figured this opens the door to give her lingerie. She gave her a sexy Christmas lingerie ensemble. I almost puked. I've known DH's neice since she was 4 and despite the fact that she will be married soon, I don't want to think of her doing THAT, let alone would I ever buy her lingerie for Chirstmas. On top of that, SIL gives this to her in front of everyone, including the kids.

Well, I guess I should clean up this disaster of a house. I am so tired today. I guess the lack of sleep has caught up with me. I woke up at 5am because I was worried that the dog would have to go potty.

Good morning all! We survived Christmas, although it looks as if Christmas threw up all over my living room. I haven't even unloaded the stuff from my sister and dad. It's going to stay in the car until DH gets home tonight.

I'll have to post the few pics I took of Jimmy. He loves his Elmo stuff and is pretty interested in the other stuff he got, too.

I am trying to get this place in order. I have no curtains or blinds on any of the upstairs windows and have to make a list of all of the other things we need like stuff for the bedroom and bathroom.

I'm going to try and get caught up and post more later. I still don't have a wireless connection and am sitting on a kitchen chair with the computer on my lap. I have to put that on my list of stuff to get done this week, too!

I love hearing about how everyone celebrated Christmas.

loretta,

UGH! I wouldn't send my kids over there, either. That woman must have some major problems to treat you the way she does.

DisKim,

It sounds like you had a good Christmas. The puppy sounds cute.

Is anyone else pooped today? I have no energy. DH had to go back to work today which sucks to put it bluntly.

We aren't doing a thing today. I have no desire to go out and shop. Any returns that have to be done will just have to wait. Everywhere we go, people are sick and coughing and I just have no patience for that right now. I've dealt with enough throw up and fevers to last me a while.

DH got me a pair of pajamas from VS and they are too short. I told him to order the long lenght off the website but I think he forgot. I have no idea why they don't carry the tall sizes in their stores.

I have a headache and a stuffy nose but I don't think it's going to get any worse.

Anywho, Dh said maybe next year of the year after he wants to get a cabin in Michigan for Christmas and celebrate there for a week or two so the kids can build snowmen. He wants to have fire in the fireplace and have the kind of Christmas that we used to have.

Robin,

I hope that Molly is doing better today. HUGS!

Holly - I agre with you about going North for the holidays. The weather here for the past few days has been awful, dark, humid, hot and rainy. Not at all what you'd want Xmas to be. It would be nice to go sledding!

Robin or anyone else....is Gymbo having a big sale today? I remember going last year and getting some great deals but I think the early bird thing must be done by now?

Morning Ladies,

Quick question, in the pictures below you will see a cream colored sofa, it was previously in Tess' room, salvation army won't pick it up because they don't want anymore cream colored sofas. Anyone know any other cheap way for me to get rid of it? I HATE it in our living room.

Good morning all! I only have a second because I promised I would play Jocleyn's new "Cranium" game. But I did want to wish everyone a great Boxing Day.

I'm glad everyone had a good holiday--Loretta, not to play "dueling dysfunctionals", but my MIL pulls the exact same crap on me. DH claims it's just her faulty memory, but I know it's her passive-agressive nature coming through. I mean, how can you "forget" your DIL, when you remember your son and grandkids? One year, I didn't get so much as a coffee mug!

Okay, rant over, especially since she's sitting in my family room.

Anyway, Kim, I'm glad you got the dog and the kids are enjoying him. Robin--I hope Molly feels better soon, poor thing. Icebrat--hang in there! We got Celeste the Elmo version last year, DH had to bring it to a friend's house to program the $&%* thing. And it spouts off randomly, so be forewarned.

I have to run. Will catch up with you all later!

Robin- Sounds like you’ll have lots of spa time this winter. That’s awesome!

DisKim- I’m glad the puppy is working out. Emmy must be ecstatic!

GLT- Glad you made it safely to Ohio!

SL- Great pics!

Zalansky- I don’t blame you for banning the kids from going to your in laws like that. I would have been upset too.

FloridaFam- I’m pooped too! I’m also one of those people you’re trying to avoid who’s coughing and sneezing all over the place.

Icebrat- Tess looks so happy on Christmas morning! I’m sorry that Dora doll isn’t working for you.

I’d love to post some Christmas pictures, but I don’t think we took any :( I’ve been feeling sick all weekend and it was all kind of a blur at this point. Olivia got a lot of nice clothes and toys from her grandparents though, which was good, because DH and I only had the one set of Pooh dolls for her. Luckily, she’s too small to notice this year!

Of course, we agreed not to exchange gifts with our adult siblings, because of everyone’s money situation, and DSIL bought us all gifts, and a LOT of stuff for Olivia too. I felt awful. She’s going to watch Olivia for me on Friday, so I’m going to try to make her some cookies or something like that. I’m debating whether I want to try exchanging the sweaters my MIL gave me. They’re completely wrong for my body type, so I know I’m never going to wear them. I just dread going to the mall to go exchanging things. Maybe I could ebay them? They’re nice NY & Co. ones.

I’m at work today, and just not feeling well at all. I have the coughing sore throat stuff going on, and I’m not sleeping at night. I’m just glad Olivia isn’t as sick as I am. OK, I need to see if any of the nearby delis will deliver me some good soup. I have a client coming soon, and I feel like my voice is all whispery now.

Oh, and WPASADI results are coming tonight. Good luck Robin & J&D!

Good morning everyone. Wow, my kids made out good this Christmas. Lily got so much, which makes up for 2 years of getting nothing and all hand me downs! We got Lily one of those 1st step roller coasters (big plastic thing). Oh my does everyone love it. This morning while DH and cleaned the house the girls played down there so happy for so long. They are both still wearing the Xmas nightgowns (that look like dresses.) I put them in these Christmas eve and I can't get them out of them. Even for new fun clothes. Tonight is bath night and they will get out of them then (or if we leave the house.)

Lily's buggery nose seems a bit better, running clear now. I have been giving her this homeopathic meds for kids called get better bear. It seems to be working very well. The down side is you need to give it often (every 2 hours.) The good news is she loves it. I was worried about her being sick for people coming over and it appears everyone else was more sick then her. Man we need to stay well for this trip next week though.

I am pretty happy with my gifts, but they are pretty small. DH got me a digital scale (I wanted this really) some weights and a MP3 player with music in it. I asked him is he was trying to tell me something, he said yes, that I look great lately! We ended up with a great many checks from family too, that helps because we have been spending so much lately!

We also all got Mickey crocs. (Did I mention this before???? I can't remember.) Still I am pretty pleased, after all we are going to Disney next week.

I got some great shots, I will post them later. Everyone looks like they had a great Christmas (or at least the kids did.) I can't wait to see pictures of the new puppy.

Foridafam, DH says you can come stay here if we can home stay at your house for the week. Sounds like a plan. This year no snow in MI though (at least not in the LP) It has been a bit warm. They said snow today, but none so far.

Ice, it looks like Tess had a great Christmas. At least you will have a lot to keep her busy now.

When I get some pictures down loaded I will post some.

Hi again. I'm not sure I even mentioned this on Friday, but somehow my paycheck was lost. I just wanted to complain for a moment that the situation still isn't resolved and the guy in payroll who lost it hasn't even apologized for making me go without pay an entire holiday weekend. Not to mention, I'm owed back pay from my raise and still haven't gotten it. AND.....because I can view my pay stubs online, I can see that he still hasn't put it through. So now I'm owed my regular paycheck, my increase for this check, and my increase from last check. This guy sent me a snotty email when I pointed out that my increase wasn't in the last check yet he STILL can't be bothered to fix it. I better leave here today with some money.

zalansky - If I were in your shoes, I'd have done the same thing (both about MIL and having a few drinks). Sorry things don't look good with your dad.

disneyphd - You've been posting here again for a week and I haven't even said hi! HI! Glad you had a nice Christmas.

icebrat - We almost bought the Elmo knows your name and I heard the same horror stories about trying to program those darn things. Tess looks like she had a nice Christmas!

ginamarie - Sorry you're still sick. I hope you can get your soup.

BnB - I've played Cranium before. Fun game. Hope Jocelyn enjoys it.

FF - Funny how those in the south want to come north for Christmas. DH and I want to spend a Christmas in warm, sunny Florida one year. LOL.

lissawynn - Good luck getting your house in order.

diskim - Rolling my eyes at the lingerie gift. How inappropriate!

BNB - dueling dysfunctionals is hilarious and I would like to play with anyone who wants to join in! Makes me feel better that I am not the only one out there with screwed up in-laws. They are truly the only bad thing about having married my DH.

DisneyPHD - enjoy your new Crocs! I have been wearing my pink ones today (not mickeys) and I love them. I wish we'd gotten that ride on thing for Cameryn.

GM - sorry youre still sick! I hate when siblings agree to not buy you anything and then they do it anyway. My sister does that all the time and then I feel like a heel.

Ice - cute pics.

I need to post a picture of myself DH took last night when I was acting like a drunken fool. Even I cn see the immense humor in it. Its on our new camera so DH has to install the program so it may be a day or two but I will post it for sure.

hi everyone!

A belated Merry Christmas to you all!!

Sounds like everyone had a good Christmas.

alice - I hope Sam is ok. How scary with the dog bite!! I would have totally freaked out. I hope Molly is feeling ok too, poor girl. Woo hoo on the gift card!! Enjoy! I love the swimsuit by the way.

zalansky - Hugs to you! I'm sorry your dad isn't doing well. I'm also sorry about the inlaws, I don't even know what to say about their behavior!! I would have been driven to drink too.

sl - cute pictures of Lucas! I would be livid with the paycheck issue!! I hope you get some money today!

icebrat - Cute pictures of tess!

ff - It would be hard for me to do Christmas without snow too. Sorry your pj's are too short.

phd - I hope Lily is feeling better! Sounds like you guys had a great Christmas!

gm - Sorry you're sick!! Feel better soon.

diskim - I'm glad you guys ended up with the puppy. Sorry he whined all night for you though!

glt - I hope your Christmas in Ohio was great!

bnb - Those Cranium games are so fun!

cabmom - Love the Christmas chaos!

lissawynn - Congrats on sleeping in your own room!

We had a good Christmas. Tyler loved opening presents, he wanted to get every scrap of paper off of each present. He loves his Elmo and a bouncing Tigger he got. He also got a new trike (is that how you spell that?), legos, little people stuff, books, clothes, my first leappad, and other fun stuff.

I went and bought 2 more rubbermaid containers because it's time to send some younger toys down to the basement. We just don't have the room for the new things.

DH got me a cashmere sweater, I'm very impressed that he picked it out himself. I also got an autographed Barefoot Contessa cookbook. I can't believe that my MIL stood in line to get it autographed. I think it's the best gift she's ever given me. I also got a lot of fun kitchen serving pieces, some pj's, gift cards, and an adorable new winter coat.

Talk to you all later. Hi to everyone I missed!!

Hi moms,
You guys are cracking me up with the dueling dysfunctionals :lmao: . My dh would have to play because it's my side of the family that puts the fun in dysfunction ;) .

I am just loving seeing all the great pictures and reading about all our little ones enjoying their holidays. Loretta you and your dad as well as Allison and her kids remain in my prayers :grouphug: . I hope all those who are feeling sick are doing better and I hope they straighten out your paycheck SL  !

I just returned from the doctor and have some lovely horse sized pills to swallow. That should be fun since the pills are literally bigger than the opening for my throat due to the hugeness of my tonsils right now. The doctor took one look at my throat and said "I'm sorry if this hurts your feelings but that is totally disgusting". Uh, yeah that's why I've been in misery for three days. I swear next time I will spend the $300 and take myself to the E.R. . I will never let it go that long again. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in and I will feel better soon. I'm off of work tomorrow because I need to give the antibiotic 24 hours before I'm not contagious.

I hope this post is making sense. I'm a bit loopy on all kinds of pain meds at the moment :rolleyes1 . Anyway, since this holiday was pretty much a bust for me I am so looking forward to NYE next week! We are just going to stay home with the kids but I can't wait to just have some real together time when I'm not feeling like poo.

I hope you all are having a great night and good luck to the wasabi players. I can't wait until we can all check out the ships :)!

TTYL!

Oh, thanks to J&D and GLT for the lovely Christmas cards. That was very thoughtful ladies :santa: .

Hey gals-

I'm tired! I was able to sleep at least 10 hours last night, so I caught up on some lost sleep. Molly is fever-free the last, oh 28 hours or so, so I think she's done. She's still not eating much, although she did eat a biscuit at Red Lobster today. But her drinking is back on track. Thanks for all those who asked. :goodvibes

I need to get my buns upstairs and exercise. DH and I made a deal that for every 1 pound I lose, he needs to lose 2. My goal is 20 pounds by June (although I would like to do it by WDW) and his is 40 pounds. We used to weigh the same a few months ago, but I lost the 16 pounds. Eek. His blood pressure is sky high, so he REALLY needs to lose the weight. I've flaked off on the workouts the last few weeks, so it's time to amp it up and quit eating Chex Mix, cookies, etc.

I am officially sick of Christmas Crap everywhere. I started to lug things up to Molly's room, as she got the most 'big stuff' that's taking up space in the living room. The boys got less stuff as Sam got an ipod shuffle, the keyboard, some Lemony Snickett books, and a couple transformers and PS2 games. Joshua got 48 of those Galactic Heroes! :rotfl: It's so funny- he and Sam had a battle last night on the living room floor. At least they are small and don't take up much room. He also got some PS2 games so again, they don't take up a lot of room.

Can I whisper something.....I'm already tired of my MIL. She's just kind of grumpy or something. I know why, but it's still tiring. I won't enter the battle of the dysfunctional families, cause she's not that bad. But it's just little things that make me wacky. :rolleyes1

Val- so glad you got some meds for your poor throat. Hope you're feeling much better ASAP.

Tamie- sounds like you got some nice things! I like Barefoot Contessa too. Her show is calming.

Z- can't wait to see some loony photos of you! LOL! I would be driven to drink as well, with a MIL like that.

Cab- love the pic of the craziness!

Ice- nice pics of Tess~

PhD- hope Lily's nose clears up for you soon! Not too much longer for your trip!

SL- I would be SO MAD about the paycheck! Hope you get your money this afternoon.

I have a pic of Molly playing 'dress up'- as I mentioned last night, her favorite things are her Princess Pumps-
christmas06057.jpg

Sorry this one is so big- photobucket is cranky this morning-
christmas06046.jpg

Hi again! I have a few minutes because my MIL left and Jocelyn is supposed to take a shower, which should free me up from game requests for a few minutes.

BTW, we enjoyed Cranium, but Jocelyn was bummed because the team of Mommy/Robert/Me-me (MIL) kicked butt. I told her next time, we'd play boys against the girls. Robert was thrilled because one task was to spell a word backwards. This happens to be something he's really, really good at--oral spelling in general, and backwards oral spelling in particular. He could spell his entire name backwards at age 3. Now, I don't know, exactly, how this is going to work into a fabulous, high-paying career, but he was thrilled that it helped win the game.

Robin--I'm glad Molly's doing better. Don't sweat the solid food, so long as she's taking liquids. Good luck with the weight loss. You'd think with avoiding chocolate, I could drop a pound or two--no such luck! Of course, it may be because I tell myself that of course I can have a ginger snap, since I can't touch the chocolate...

Gina--I hope you feel better soon. I forgot to take pictures on Christmas, too, but we did have the camcorder out and I took a few shots during tree trimming.

GLT--Thanks for the card. DH thinks your kids are gorgeous (and your XDH is a jerk, not that you haven't heard that before). I hope they enjoyed their Christmas.

Loretta--DH and I used to have a lot of fun with dueling dysfunctionals. It's less fun now that my mom isn't alive, but there are still plenty of fruits, nuts, and flakes on my family tree. I figure, if we don't laugh, we'll cry. And at least my MIL gave us each a check this year, so that's always nice. She $&*tched about her stupid fruitcake tin yet again, though. I still don't have it, don't look at me!

SL--Looks like Lucas had a great holiday. I would be steamed about the paycheck thing. Is there someone you can report Mr. Apathy to?

icebrat--Looks like Tess got quite the haul. Don't sweat that bike, Celeste loved sitting on her trike long before she could figure it out.

DisneyPhD--I hoep you are all better in time for your trip.

I have to run--tired little boy who cut his third tooth today! (This might explain the fussy nights!). "Hi" to everyone I missed!

Hey everybody!
We had such a wonderful Christmas weekend. I am so bummed I have to go back to work tomorrow and so glad I took today off. Here's a few photos:
JaceandSanta2006.jpg
Jace's photo with Santa a few weeks ago - :rotfl: I'm sure I've traumatized him for life for the stupid picture...add something else to the list that he'll be talking about with a therapist some day.:)

IMG_34502.jpg

The Thomas the train he got from my parents...his absolute favorite toy!!

IMG_35042.jpg

IMG_3528.jpg

He also loved his Mickey Mouse and Elmo chair. He was scared of TMX Elmo but will kiss it when he's turned off. Tamie - Jace also got the bouncy tigger which he likes too.

My MIL gave me this:
purse.jpg
I love it!!

DH got me Sirius Satellite for my car and the house. I am so excited. I can't wait to be able to listen to Howard again!!!! He loved his "heely's" I got him. :rotfl:

We had such a great time with both of our Christmas parties (Inlaws Sat and my family yesterday). Jace had a ball playing with my niece and nephew...they were all so cute together.

I feel like I gained 10 pounds this weekend - and I sure had fun doing it!!!

Robin: Sorry to hear Miss Molly was sick on Christmas. Her photos are adorable. :scared1: about the dogbite - how awful. I was bit by a neighbor's dog once - it hurts!!
Icebrat, Hillbeans, Cabmom, SL: Love your photos!!
Z::grouphug: about your dad. Can't wait to see your drunken photo :)
BNB: We love to play Cranium too!
Val: Hope your horse pills help you feel better soon.
DisKim: Glad to hear Emily (and everyone) are enjoying the puppy.
Tamie: Jace did the same thing the wrapping paper. It took him forever to open stuff as little strips at a time and right into the trash bag. :)
DisPhD: Hope you will post pictures when you can. I'd love to see the roller coaster - sounds neat!
GM: Hope you are feeling better soon.
FF: I agree about being exhausted today. I took a 2 hour nap when Jace took one today and I'm still planning to go to bed early.
Lissawyn: How are you feeling? Not much longer huh?

Well, off to clean up dinner and plug Jace's Choo-Choo back in to charge up the battery for tomorrow's train rides. He is so funny on that thing!!

Hope you have a great night and I'll try to catch up again soon.
:) Jen

Alice- Molly looks too cute in her heels and necklace!

Joats- Jace is getting so big!!! I love the big train set.

I started posting my trip report. Of course a lot of what I posted I was able to type while we were still on vacation, so it's going to be slow coming out now. I have tomorrow morning off though, so maybe I'll get some more done.
Here's the link if anyone wants to read: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=16084851&posted=1#post16084851

Now it's time to sift through all the pictures DH uploaded to my website from vacation and wait for the WPASADI results.
