Robin,

I'm sendign pixie dust for no fevers. The nurse at the ER told me to give Kona Motrin and Tylenol at the same time and I said "are you sure?" and he said that is how he does it when his kids run a fever. Have you ever heard that before?

I hope she's back to her old self tomorrow.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I'm glad to see the disboards are back. I must have checked on them half a dozen times, even though I knew they'd take 24-48 hours to be updated.

Alice- I'm really sorry about the kids! Being bit by a dog can be really scary, but I'm glad Sam is ok. Poor Molly too! Hopefully Christmas morning will cheer them all up a little.

OK, I have to get to bed. The rumor is that we're all getting up around 5 am, because DBro wants to open presents with us and he has to be at work by 7 am. I'm not sure they'll make it up that early though.

I hope everyone has a great holiday!

Prayers and pixie dust for Molly!!!!

Sounds like Santa is very busy. He just HID the girls ipod and nintendo ds in these messenger bags they're getting (Santa doesn't wrap here). How evil is that??? They're each getting a smaller item they had really asked for so I'm wondering what will be going through their little heads when they come in and see a bunch of little/medium stuff!!!!!

Again, a blessed and Happy Christmas to all!!!

Glad the boards are back up so I can personally wish everyone a very Merry Christmas before I leave for WDW! Have a blessed day, everyone!

Robin- Thanks for posting the message!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I had colors and smilies and everything planned, but for some reason I can't get anything to work.

alice28 - Sending NO FEVER vibes!! Sorry also that Sam got bit by a dog.

j&d - Sorry you won't get to find out your wasabi results before you leave.

I'll check back in later...right now it's 8am and no one but me is up yet!

Merry Christmas Ladies!!!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful (fever free) day. The stomach bug is running through MIL's house now. Last night, she had to leave her wonderful party and just lay down in the bathroom. Now this am, Matthew has had two bouts of diarrhea already--crossing my fingers Emma is in the clear--and DBIL told us he's not feeling well either! It was really cool last night, though, b/c MIL always runs the show, and with her being sick all her 5 kids and spouses worked really hard to make her party be what she would've wanted.

Alice--so sorry about the dog bite. I'm so glad the dog will be put down. I've told DH that if Molly (our dog) ever bit anyone that we would put her down--just can't take any chances! Fever free vibes!

Well we'll be heading over to DFIL's house this evening for the remainder of our trip. Hope I can check in from there!

Merry Christmas and good morning everyone. We are just wacthing the Christmas Parade from WDW! We DVD'd it so we can wacth it again and again. One week and 3 days and we are there! The girls love their gifts, (but we still have a few more to open later.) They got the bitty twins, and so much stuff for them.

Lily looks so cute in her tiny pink mickey crocs! (we all got a pair, but Paul's isn't pink.)

Lily is super boggery and a bit ill today. No fever, she normally is so healthy. For DH and I I take cold snap, it workes great. Not sure what to give for her. I should get the zicam swabs out. We are not getting sick (or at least getting over it fast.)

Enjoy your day everyone.

Alice, so sorry to hear about Sam and Molly. What a week. You guys always stay upbeat no mater what though, and at least the kids have dad home!

Merry 1st Christmas with your new Mommies Tess.

Okay, the smilies aren't working for me and neither is quick reply. I also keep getting annoying pop-up type messages since the upgrade. I'm not sure I like these new changes yet. I hope they work out the kinks soon!

But anyway...

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your day so far. We have had a great Christmas so far. We went to my mom's last night. Kylie got a rocking horse which she loves. She also got a few other things but the rocking horse was her big gift. Kylie was in a great mood all day yesterday and she didn't even have a nap. I was shocked she wasn't more grumpy but she did really well.

She got one of those learn and feel type of puppies, a singing Dora doll, and her 1st Cabbage Patch baby, books, a couple of DVDs, clothes, etc. from us and Santa. We had breakfast at my MILs this morning and she got a Dora doll (a different one than the one we got her thankfully), a Dora stroller that she absolutely loves, money, and clothes. She has had a great Christmas so far and has been beyond excited about everything (except the clothes of course! That'll change in a few years, I'm sure.) We had to get up far too early though! We are going to my dh's grandmother's for lunch so we came home to crash before that. Dh and Kylie are asleep so I thought I'd do a quickie post. I wasn't planning to take a nap but I didn't sleep well last night and I am starting to feel drowsy. I will probably take a 45 min. nap. It's 10:15 and we have to be up by 11 so we won't be late. Anyway, I am taking pics but I haven't gotten my digital camera yet so I will have to get my film developed before I can post any. I will post some pics later this week sometime.

Kylie still has a few gifts from other relatives that she will receive this afternoon. My sisters also got her the Feliz Navidad Dora (the girl is set on Dora dolls for a while I think!) but she hasn't gotten it yet. My dad gave her her gifts last week. She got a doll, a potty chair, and a couple other odds and ends. She's one spoiled kid!

Oh, and I got a beautiful locket with Kylie's picture in it. It says mom on the outside. It's heart-shaped. It was my gift from Kylie. She also got me Winnie the Pooh slippers. She picked those out of course. Dh bought me some diamond earrings. I got a sweater and $100 from the ILs. My dad also gave us money, which is also greatly appreciated! My mom got me a few little things too. We've had a great day. It's been really fun celebrating with Kylie this year. Well, going to get that nap now. Have a great day everyone!

ETA: A woman that we know that goes to church with the ILs also had breakfast with us this morning. Her dh of over 50 years passed away a few months ago and it's her first Christmas w/o him. Her son is in the military and she doesn't have anyone else so MIL decided to invite her. I thought that was very sweet. You really take it for granted, ya know, but there are so many people without family on Christmas. It's very sad.

Also, if you are so inclined, there are 2 families that I'd like you to keep in your prayers. Last month a house exploded in a community by ours. 2 women, two 2 year olds, and a 3 year old were severely burned. They were all transferred and are all in a burn unit in Georgia. The 3 year old died Saturday. The others are still in critical condition but supposedly getting better. Please pray for them. I can't imagine what they are and will be going through and they lost the 3 year old 2 days before Christmas. :(

Also another family had a house fire Saturday. The mom and the son got out. The 6 year old and 4 year old daughters died of smoke inhalation. I cannot even begin to imagine how awful Christmas is this year and more than likely always will be for that family. Again, it happened 2 days before Christmas. I didn't know any of these people but my heart is just breaking for them. I cried a little when I heard what happened. We had known about the 3 year old's family since it happened and it was really awful to hear he died. And then the 2 girls... Please pray if you are the praying type. I can't imagine the pain they are all in. :(

Well, so much for that nap...oh, well! Sorry to be a downer. Christmas has been great for us but I can't imagine how awful it is for some people and those families can no doubt use any and all prayers right now. I hope you guys are having a great day!

Merry Chrsitmas again everybody!

Robin - I have GOT to know what your DH got for you!!!!

First of all, thanks for all the no fever vibes for Molly. Unfortunately, they didn't work. But she's still sleeping now, and has been fever free for several hours.

And now, what you've all been waiting for (and he kept me waiting 90 minutes too...............).....................I got..............................from DH............................a....................................

$500 GIFT CARD TO COLDWATER CREEK SPA!

I can have pedicures every 3 weeks or so til my birthday in April! Or I can go full blitz and spend 8 hours at the spa!!! Or whatever the heck I want!!!!!

I am VERY excited. I've shared with you all how much that place just entrances me, and he got the clue as well. ;)

I know my MIL was going to give me $100 to go to the spa, but now I can spend that money on something else if I want. I already have a massage and pedi appt for this Saturday. :thumbsup2

Anyway, the kids have opened their gifts, except for Molly, which is fine as she seemed to get a bit overwhelmed last night at my parents. Now she can just open things on her own time.

Hope everyone has a great day! My MIL called from the airport and she's already in a 'mood.' Goodie, can't wait! :rolleyes1

Merry Christmas everyone!!! I never did get that Dora doll program, I just wrapped it and gave it to her anyway. I'll figure it out later. I sent DP and Tess over to her families home, so I am going to veg and watch tv!!!

Robin - I hope your kids are doing okay today, and that Molly's fever has gone down. Congrats on your gift card!!!

Hi mommies,
Sorry to hear the sick bugs are affecting some or your Christmases. Unfortunately it's no better here. I came down with a rip-roaring case of strep on Saturday and of course have to wait until tomorrow to get to the doctor's so I have been beyond miserable and sick. Thank Goodness for dh because he was a life-saver helping me get ready to host my family for the big meal on Sunday. And tonight we have his whole family coming over for dessert and appetizers. I hope he will help me get ready for that too because right now all I want to do is crawl into bed and die.

I can't believe that dog bite, Robin! I would be furious. I hope Sam is okay. Enjoy your spa certificate! What a great gift :) .

Jen,
Have a wonderful trip! Looking forward to details when you return.

Tasha,
Prayers sent for those families. How sad.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Oh, how I missed the DIS!! I wanted to hop on and wish all of you a wonderful Christmas with your families :santa: .

Robin - I'm so sorry to hear about the dog bite and Molly's fever. I hope they are okay! That spa certificate sounds really nice. I could use a massage right now. I would go right to sleep!

Icebrat - I feel your pain with having trouble getting toys to work.

My eyes are closing on me as I type this. I haven't slept in 2 days....literally. We got the dog last night. My neice brought him around midnight. He cried all night. Emmy ended up hearing him and I kept telling her it was daddy whining over putting the camera equipment together. I don't think she bought it. Anyway, the kids are totally smitten with this puppy. Even Aidan seems to like him. He really is the cutest puppy I've ever seen. I'll post a picture tomorrow when I have time. He is a little cuddler. All he wants to do is cuddle with Emily and sleep.

DH did really good this year. He got me a gold bracelet, a Dooney and Bourke bag which I really love and an i-pod with the video (whatever model that is - I have no idea). I usually get upset when he spends alot like that but I'm okay with it this year - I deserve it!

Well, we have to get packed up to go to IL's for dinner. We're bringing the puppy with us.

By the way, Aidan does not like Christmas. He refuses to open gifts. They are all still sitting there wrapped up. He did not like the commotion. He cried until I finally gave in and put on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Hi Mommies,

Robin,

OOH! That's a great gift. I would go nuts! I hope Molly is feeling better and Sam, too. I totally forgot to mention his bite in my last response. I am glad the dog is being put down. I have no patience for dogs that bite. I'm generally not a dog person but I like cuddly ones and ones that behave.

How is he doing?

DisKim,

Kona didn't really want to open presents, either. We let her open them later after she woke up a little. She still has one to open. She'd rather watch Blues Clues.

Your DH did a good job!! Those sound like great gifts.

I need to get in the shower. I've got a ham in the oven and we are going to eat soon. DH and the kids are playing Monopoly. It's been a nice relaxing day here and I want to keep it that way.

DH got me Target and TJ Maxx gift cards and some pajamas. :yay: Exactly what I wanted. I'm going to do some serious shopping this week. I know we are going to have to buy sod for the yard because it is all dirt now and it looks awful since the new drain field.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Merry Christmas! We're having a nice day - girls were up at 6:15 so we were "done' by 8 or so! They are excited with everything but Carson doesn't really care of course! He does like his exersaucer, though! DH and the kids got me some fun stuff - I got a photo printer, a crock pot (yes, I DID want this - someone broke mine last summer and I've been lost without it!), a paper shredder (Hannah always hears me say I want one when commercials come on and she INSISTED they get one - I do love it!), and a Spin Spa - "as seen on tv"!!!!! My parents are buying us all new every day dishes but we're waiting until we move. Hayley wound up with like $100 in ipod gift cards because everyone got her that - I feel sort of bad since I think she might like other things too, but this way she's set for a LONG time!

My aunt (the one who I sent the email to by mistake) is coming in a bit for dinner. We're doing a turkey and easy side dishes but I did get out the china since my every-day stuff is so cruddy. So it'll be very nice and we're enjoying the day!

Robin - WOW on the gift!!! Hope Molly (and Sam too) are doing better!

diskim - glad the puppy is a hit and I'm also glad you got it - I was sad thinking you might not!!

Everyone have a great day and I hope you all survive the family time!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

I hope that everyone had a magical day! We did - Kevin is at the perfect age and made the day lots of fun. He was so excited last night - we left out cookies and "reindeer food" for Santa.

Here are some photos to share:

Loretta - I hope your Father is doing alright and GLT i'm still thinking about you and your family today on Christmas.

I hope Jill and Justine are having a great time in WDW! I was watching a special last night on the travel channel about WDW at Christmas and it was amazing. Did you know they do a House-sized Gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian? The thing is HUGE!

Hi to Dizagain, Robin, Gottalovethem, J&D, SL, Nucpharm, Tasha, Floridafam, Dizkim, DisneyPhD, Icebrat and all the other mommies who checked in today as well as the rest of the Mommies - I had a reply to you all and lost it a short time ago - AAAGGGHHHH!!

Well, i've gotta go and get ready for work! Am I the only one who is working tomorrow????? It seems like it - oh well. MIL is coming in for a visit also so I have to finish running the vaccuum and making up the guest room.

Talk with all of you ladies soon.

Quickly, we made it to Ohio and just want to say Merry Christmas and thank you so very much DIS moms for making Christmas great for my kids. They loved the toys (and there are still a couple more back home in Wisconsin). I so greatly appreciate you making our Christmas for us. I have to say it's truly strange not giving out any gifts this year. I did make my parents' favorite cookies for them though.

I'll post some pics, but probably not until we get back.

For some reason I can't use the smilies?????

Diskim - glad you got the puppy and everyone liked them.

Robin - I hope Molly is feeling better. Hugs and good wishes to her. Leif wasn't feeling well at all yesterday either. He took THREE naps! He only takes one a day. Today he was in better spirits. Hugs to Sam! Wow, what a gift!

Hillbeans - love the pics, thanks for sharing!

icebrat - hope your first xmas as a mom went well!

dizagain - hope dinner with the aunt went well

val - good to see you , hope you feel better soon!

Tasha - prayers said!

Zalansky - thinking of you. I hope the children enjoyed Christmas.

gotta run, thanks again DIS moms. Love ya!!

Allison- I was hoping you would post today! Glad you made is safely to Ohio & that the kids had a nice Christmas.

Hillary- Love the pictures! I have some classy ones of Molly in her princess finery I will share later. (some involve crazy hair, candy necklace, diaper, and pumps....LOL!). Bummer you have to work tomorrow; Dh has the day off, but he's on call.

Kim- sounds like you made out like a bandit!

Holly- you too! Have fun spending your gift cards. I need to hit Target this week for some Pampers or Huggies- I have been buying store brand and they kinda suck. The price difference just kills me though...actually the Target ones are OK, but the ones I bought at the grocery store the other day stink.

Val- I cannot believe you have had strep for a few days and don't have meds yet! How are you dealing with it! I hope you get to the doctor first thing tomorrow- you don't want to get worse or have any kidney damage! I'm worried for you!

I too hope Jill & Justine are having a super duper time...and soon Jen. The 'J' group. ;-)

Well, I need to tidy up the living room one last time and get some kiddoes to bed. I think my kids have had about 3 lbs of sugar today, a bite or two of protein, and maybe some milk. Nice. They didn't want the FABULOUS prime rib DH cooked on his BBQ- OMG, it was TDF good. And we had baked potatoes, rolls, green beans, Caesar salad...it was a nummy dinner if I do say so myself.

Anyone shopping tomorrow? I think I may hit Macy's to get a sheet set, and then we're going to Red Lobster for my dad's birthday lunch. Then on Weds I want to hit the Bath and Body semi annual sale. I need to stock up on anti-bac pump soaps. I already ordered a pair of pants and a top from Lands End with my gift card from mom....I wanted to get my size before they ran out, plus it was one sale. Yahoo!
