Fun restaurants or stops near I-4

We are driving in a night early and need not-too-expensive ideas for food or stops along I-4 east of Disney. We want to stay mostly indoors since we will be outside the next day from rope drop until they throw us out of the Halloween party.

I would go out of my way to Pollo Tropical and their citrus marinated grilled chicken. Really delicious chicken, rice and black beans, including their currently $19.99 family meal if your party is big. If you have picky eaters in your party they have chicken nuggets and fries too.

There are two locations close enough to Disney: one on Vineland Ave near Mickey’s Retreat and another on Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy near Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Pollo Tropical is also an “only in Florida” thing. Won’t find it anywhere else in the US!

Try PDQ chicken if you haven't! It's so much better than the other chicken tender places.

Sonny's BBQ has always been a chain I've enjoyed as well. Great food.

Being a Floridian, I didn't realize this.

I used to eat Tropichop bowls at Polo 3-4 times a week. LOL Had no idea that was a FL exclusive but I guess it makes sense.
