OK, going with the consensus and the fact that I am not any better today, sometime today I will go to the walk-in clinic. Ick... I have a meeting for a possible part-time/temporary job this a.m., dd has a b'day party all this a.m. So maybe this afternoon? I sure hope I can get the kids to behave. Laine's whining this a.m. is already driving me insane and it's only 7:20 a.m.!!

Robin - glad you got some meds, hope you feel better soon.

FF - gas prices are absolutely crazy. Sounds like quite the adventure you had last night.

DisKim - I don't know that it's a spoiled thing as much as a self-absorbed thing. I've been having that lately with DD. It is driving me insane. I'm glad Aidan was pretty good for your trip and that you got to see relatives without any major hassles. Sorry DVC didn't work out for you, I hate feeling like I wasted time!

Val - Hi. I was thinking of you yesterday. I'm glad the job went well adn you liked it! Maybe a looser pony tail? Or maybe your head needs to just get used to it? Pop those Advil :) I hope you have a great day today too!

J&D - I opened it last night (like at 10 p.m.) and then put it back in the envelop and need to give it to dd this a.m. LOVE LOVE  the Tink notepad and the note from Tink. Thank you. I think this is just what she needs. I can't wait to share it with her. We visited her school yesterday and her teacher happened to be there and he let us into the room, she got to see her desk and some other stuff with her name on it and then the kids played for a few minutes. We go on a tour tomorrow. I am soooo hoping that all of this will help make the transition easier for her!

Okay, off to deal with Mr. Whiney (Aka Laine) and move us along so I can make my meeting on time. Gotta look at the calendar to see when I can head to the clinic. Bleck. I HATE going to the dr.

Robin - Thanks for the tip on the glue. I would have probably grabbed one of the kids' glue sticks and used that. I crack myself up. I have so much to do before school starts and I decide to start scrapbooking.

Alex is hungry. I guess I better feed these kids and post more later. They have nerve being hungry when I'm trying to DIS ;) .

It's been busy here since yesterday morning! I never got back on to post b/c the lunch I ate made me SO sick. I picked Jimmy up from my dad's and he fell asleep in the car. I took two Tylenol and a nap while he slept. DH worked late so Jimmy and I ate Cheerios for dinner. I do have pork and sauerkraut in the crock pot now, so we'll have a real dinner tonight.
I did manage to get a lot done in my room yesterday. I am here again today with some loose ends to tie up before in-service tomorrow and Thursday. School officially begins on Monday and I'm looking forward to getting off the sofa and doing something with myself.
I found out yesterday that another teacher here is preggo. She's due in March. That makes three of us having babies this school year. I wonder if they'll be able to find subs for us during our leaves.

DisKim - I think you look great in your pics! I have the same Minnie shirt from the Disney store and bought another one similar to it at the WL store. The cotton is so nice and soft! Can't wait to hear more details about your trip.

floridafam- I'd love to participate in the fall exchange. When you have all the details finalized, let me know and I'll PM you my info. I love the fall, too! DH is really itching to pick apples. I'd like to take EK to a pumpkin patch and let him run wild.

Alice - I hope you're feeling better!

Val - Glad to hear your first day at work went well. I'm sure the day go buy quickly when you're busy.

GLT - I hope you're feeling better today. Sore throats are the worst. I have to start taking my vitamin C so I don't get the back to school crud the kids will be bringing here.

justthat - Great pics of the kids! Henry is so handsome.

Jill - I'm sorry you got so sick on your trip. I know how awful it was for my sister. I'm just happy that you had some time to enjoy yourself.

Ginamarie - Good luck with the packing!

Tasha - I'm glad Kylie just has the runny nose. How's school going?

SL - How's work going?

Hi J&D, BnB, nucpharm, and all the other moms!

I have to busy myself or I'll spend the day on the computer! TTYL!

morning ladies! Today is my work day while Tyler is at daycare and I need to get cracking!

alice - Sorry to hear you have strep, how awful! I love your idea of buying your clinique stuff from Nordstroms. I would love to do that, but I would have to treck out to the Mall of America and that's too far. I'm not happy with our Macy's change here either. They will always be Marshall Field's to me. I don't care for the quality of Macy's newspaper ads at all. I did like their infant (up to 24 mo) clothes though. Tyler got an outfit there yesterday. Thanks for the heads up on the Gymbo sales. I want the orange tiger sweatshirt for Tyler, but don't want to pay full price.

floridafam - What an adventure with the bike! I'm glad everything's ok though. I always worry that DH might get hurt when he's out rollerblading and I would know! I went to Children's Place and used the coupon yesterday! Thanks again!

glt - I hope you feel better soon!

jill - Welcome back! Sorry to hear about your food poisoning. How horrible. Glad that John was so good for you!

diskim - Welcome back to you too! Sounds like a pretty fun trip despite the heat. I'm glad your family stuff went well. I love your pictures. Your family is so cute! The matching shirts are adorable.

val - I'm glad your job went well. It sounds like a really fun (and yummy) place!

gem - I would love to do a Christmas exchange. I'll send you a PM. DH is finding out about boxes for my growth charts today. I'll let you know.

tasha - Hope Kylie's runny nose clears up!

welcome fabumouse!!

lissawynn - Have fun getting settled back at school! I bet it's fun to get your room all organized and ready for the new year.

justthat - I LOVE the new pictures. Henry is so darn cute! I don't think he looks yellow, but if you are concerned about it for pictures you could always make the photos black and white! I can help you with that if you need it or are interested!

sl - Lucas will make an adorable Mickey!

My girlfriend and I are heading to the outlet mall tomorrow night. My biggest goal is to find Tyler some shoes at the Stride Rite store. I had him measured yesterday and she recommended a size 6 double wide for the fall. His summer sandles were a 4 1/2 double wide. I guess his feet did some growing this summer. Anyone's boys in a 4 1/2 double wide? I have an adorable pair of fall shoes that he wore half a dozen times that I can't return.

I need to get working on some growth charts today! Have a good day everyone.

Tamie

Okay Mommies,

I think I've got this exchange all figured out. Majority seems to indicate that the exchange should be open to regular posters on this thread. I've gone with the majority and I hope nobody minds.

I don't think it's a problem because there are plenty of exchanges on the CB and other regular threads like ours.

I copied the info from J&D and added a few things like size information and what your child or children are going to be for Halloween.

The final question I have is if you mommies want a price cap on the exchange?

Let me know and I will post later.

I will take names until SEPTEMBER 15. Copy and PM me the info listed below. I will then throw all the names in a hat, draw names and PM you the name and info of your exchange buddy.

For this exchange you will mail only one package to your pal. In order for all packages to make it to their destination by Halloween, the deadline for this exchange will be Monday, October 16th. Many, but not all, of the items sent should be Fall-or Halloween-related. Use the information provided by your pal to help you plan your packages.

I think this will be a fun exchange and it will be fun to shop for our exchange buddies. I know I can't wait.

I'm going to get caught up on the posts and check back later.

Hi everybody :goodvibes

I am behind again, I am coming to accept that I will be behind from now on because I just can't keep up anymore! I did scroll back 4 pages though and tried to catch up.

Diskim - I love your family pics from your trip! And, I don't think you look bad at all! For as hot as it was you look pretty darned good. I love the color of your t-shirts too. My friend and I talk about going to WDW in the summer and we don't think we could make it. Bewteen the heat and the crowds, but mainly the heat, I couldn't bear it. Did you have to take breaks often?
As for the DVC, we own too and our first trip is in two weeks. We bought 200 points and like nucpharm said, our kids are not in school yet....when they do go to school I will have to see how they are doing in the future but right now I would say I have no problem taking them out for a few days. Most DVC-ers seem to use the points Sunday - Thursday nights and then if need be, they book a room at the mods or values for a saturday night and then go check in to their DVC hotel. The points are just too high on Fris & Sats. The DVC board here on the DIS is very helpful. Ask tons of questions there, they are experts! I have to say, that we consider the DVC as pre-paying for vacations more than we think of it as a timeshare. Good luck!

Alice & GLT - Sorry to hear you both are sick. Are you feeling any better today? Summer bugs stink!

Jill - WELCOME BACK! I hope you post some pics too from your trip. How scary about the man on your plane! And sorry about getting sick on your trip. That must have been a bummer. Also, did I miss something? Did you book a WDW trip for December? I ask because we are booked for Dec 3-6 at Saratoga and are doing the CP again this year.

justthat - What adorable new pics! I love the angel wings on Henry! Too cute!

Vald - Glad to hear the new job is going well. I have to say your post made me hungry! I am craving a wrap and some brownies now!

Tasha - Sorry Kylie is sick too.

Cameryn is also sick, started as a cold and now she has an ear infection and is on anti biotics. The one good thing is we leave for WDW in less than two weeks so hopefully this will keep her feeling good for vacation.

 WELCOME FABUMOUSE!!! CONGRATS!!!!

Hi to all the others I missed :wave2:

FF - I will skip the exchange simply because I am not posting near enough these days and I feel very out of the loop on the thread. Since Connor started pre-school and Cameryn is more mobile I just can't be online as much anymore. (she is napping now) Also, I am freaking out about money lately so I need to seriously curb my spending where ever I can! I have eaten lunch at home every day for 2 months. BORING!

Anyway, I am actually meeting friends today for lunch for the first time in a long time....so I must go get ready. I hope you all have a good week and the sick moms and kids feel better asap! :p

FYI

There is some really cute Halloween stuff on Disney Shopping. I think I am going to order the rug and the flag. :thumbsup2 :sunny:

/
Good Morning-

Amazing how a dose or two of antibiotics work so quickly! My throat feels a lot better this morning.

Thank you FF for the headsup on Disney Shopping. While I didn't order those DARLING Halloween decor items, I did notice the girl's Halloween Costumes were on super sale---I am HOPING Molly will fit in the XXS, as I ordered the Tinkerbell costume and slippers for her. I am afraid the 18/24 month size in infants would be too small, as Disney sizes tend to run small. Anyway, it was on sale for $25 vs. $40, plus I had a 20% off coupon for costumes with the Disney Visa. So I got her entire costume for $26.

Now I need to remember to check daily for the boy's costumes. I know Joshua wants to be one of the Narnia boys. I don't think Sam has decided yet.

FF- I can't believe you had to drag the kids out of bed to go rescue DH! Ey-yi-yi. I'm glad his bike didn't get stolen!

Zalansky- I understand about needing to watch finances right now. Wow- good for you for eating lunch at home. I am HORRIBLE about lunch- dinner, I am good at making almost every night, but I like to treat myself to a salad for lunch or something...too often. Are you getting more and more excited for your trip? I bet!

Tamie- I hope Stride Rite has the shoes you want- I hate it when you go there for something specific, and then cannot find the right size! How far is the Mall of America from you? That must be a treat to go to every once in awhile.

lissawynn- Glad you are getting a lot accomplished in your classroom! 3 ladies pregnant all at the same time, wow. I hope they are able to find some longterm subs for you all!! :wizard: Enjoy your dinner tonight!

Kim- I hope you have fun with the scrapping- if you want any more info, let me know, but I'm afraid to dump too much on you. :teeth: I like that album you described- I remember seeing it in May and it's cool.

Well, I need to get to Costco as soon as it opens this morning for a few odds and ends. Nothing major. Their weekly coupons were good for this week, so I want to grab those items, and some milk.

Have a great day everyone~~~

Good morning all! Not much going on around here except the usual stuff, although Jocelyn did have her physical this morning. She's perfectly healthy. Oh, and she loves her new dance class.

Kim--Loved the Disney pics--I'm getting so excited! I could see one of the girls talking me into a pair of those princess Mickey ears with the tiara! I'm sure we'll be fine with counter service for the times we don't have table service meals. I hate to make 3 table meal ADR's a day--you lose so much touring time, and with our crew, we'll be slow moving as it is. Part of the problem for me is, Luke doesn't tolerate spice or gassy foods well, so I have to be real careful about what I eat--it gets old, and it gets depressing having to pass up foods I like because he can't tolerate them. At home, I'm fine with it, but it drags on vacation. And I hear you on the kids--I think it's just that they don't think beyond themselves. I mean, here I've got Jocelyn, who's in the gifted program, for Pete's sake, and she puts her cereal bowl on the counter, 2 feet away from an OPEN dishwasher. And she did it yesterday, the day before, the day before that... And if you point it out, she'll take care of it, but if you have to step over the dishwasher door to put the bowl on the counter, how can you not recognize that the bowl goes IN the dishwasher?!? Sorry, rant over.

justthat--Henry is just a doll! It's a good thing we don't meet together as a group, because you'd probably have to frisk us all to make sure we didn't sneak Henry out under our shirts or something! BTW, when boys are born, the foreskin may be somewhat attached, so it actually might be painful to Henry to pull it back. Just an FYI. It detaches naturally over time.

glt--No need to worry about the outfits--just enjoy. It's good for me to be cleaning this stuff out. Usually with clothes, I send them to my friend, but her DD6 doesn't do gym. or dance.

Jill--Glad to hear the trip went well, except for the food poisoning.

fabumouse, Welcome to the thread. We may be a clique, but we're a clique that wants to see your baby pictures!

I have to run.

I am so behind on this thread! Yikes! I'm going on memory here so forgive me if I miss anyone. I will try to catch up more later.

Robin - I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better! That is wonderful that you got the TK print of DL! I thought it was absolutely beautiful.

BNBmom - When do you leave for your trip?

Zalansky - Yes, I'm going back to WDW in December. We couldn't stay away so we booked for the 19th through the 27th at the YC. I'm actually excited about driving instead of flying b/c flying is getting to be too much of a pain.

How does Connor like preschool?

Gems - How is your niece doing? Thanks for arranging a Christmas exchange! I need to scroll back and find the info. and I will pm you.

DisKim - I love the pictures of you and your family! You all look great!! Like everyone else has said, the matching shirts were wonderful. I can't wait to hear more about your trip.

Flying with John to DL was actually fine b/c he isn't mobile yet. We also flew JetBlue and they have the TV screens behind each seat. John was fascinated with watching the screen for most of the trip which was good. Good luck with the scrapbooking! I was telling my mom yesterday that I am about 10 years behind on my scrapbooking. At this point, most of my pictures are going to be sitting on my computer for years.

Lissawynn - Good luck getting everything done for school. It is hard to believe that it is time for it to start again. BTW, I love your VB lunch bag.

Justhat - The pictures of Madison and Henry are so cute!!

GLT - You poor thing with being sick! I hope that you feel better very soon and can get in to see the doctor very quickly.

Tasha - How was your quiz? How do you like school so far?

Welcome Fabumouse! :wave2: Congrats on your new little one!

Floridafam - Count me in for the Fall exchange! I'll pm my stuff later. Sorry to hear about your dh's flat on his bike.

Val - Congrats on the job! :woohoo: How is it going so far? I hope that you don't get any more migraines.

SL - Sorry to hear that your desk isn't moved yet and that a bunch of people are leaving. How big is your company? Good luck with working 4 days a week.

Tamie - Congrats on selling your growth chart! Have fun shopping!

Hillbeans - I hope that you are having a great time at the beach!

Ginamarie - I'm sorry to hear that there was a family argument during your birthday celebration. :grouphug: How is the packing going?

Ryan - How is your grandmother doing?

J&D - How are you doing? Thanks for all the heads up on the sunshine clicks!

Nucpharm - Did you get cable hook up? I thought I had read it, but I wasn't sure.

Hi to everyone! I hope that I am not missing anyone. :wave2:

I'll try to post some pictures later. I didn't take as many as I thought I would, but my dad took a lot so I need to get copies of his. I forgot to mention that we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and our room overlooked Downtown Disney and the parks. You could see the fireworks from our room at night and I had a nice view of the Matterhorn ride at DL. I love the close proximity of everything and that was a huge plus for when I would take John back to the room to rest.

I gotta run....the laundry is calling out to me! I also need to hit the grocery store since we are low on food. Bye!

I only have a few min. before class starts so I will have to make this quick.

Tamie~ Kylie just now is getting into a size 4 shoe. I am a bit sad to know that she will never again where her cute size 3 summer sandals.

Alice and GLT~ I hope you are feeling better today!

vald~ Congrats on the job! Glad it is going well so far!

Loretta~ I can't keep up on this thread anymore either. I just skim when I have time, which isn't as often as in the past.

FF and Gems~ I won't be able to participate in the exchanges after all. Dh told me he would rather I didn't since we really have to watch our money since he got hurt at work, Kylie started daycare, and I am going back to school. I figured we'd be okay financially for me to participate in the exchanges but dh is stressing over money so I am going to respect his wishes. Maybe I can participate another time.

Anyway, I woke up with a sore throat this morning which leads me to believe that Kylie does have the beginnings of a cold. However, she seemed a little better this morning and it's after lunchtime and noone has called me. I am taking that as a good sign.

She is my little cheerleader today. I ended up buying a cheerleading dress for her at our campus's bookstore. She is wearing that and has her hair in 2 ponytails. She looks adorable! I didn't think to take any pics though.

Dh is leaning toward Kylie being Minnie Mouse for Halloween. I think she will either be that or a leopard but I could change my mind and go a completely different direction so we'll see.

Well, gotta get to class.

Justhat- I love the pictures (especially with the pooh bed comment). I also love the angel wings. Too cute!

DisKim- I’m glad to hear OHana was good. A lot of people have given bad reviews to the new menu, but we’re going back this year anyway. Your WDW pictures are great. We actually bought the same matching shirts for our vacation, but in different colors. I love the one of Aiden in the stroller too :)
As for the scrapbooking, I have a lot of different ways of making pages. I usually make some borders for the photos and write captions for the pages. I also have a bunch of different stickers and embellishments that I use. I would advise getting some of the plastic page covers, which help make sure nothing will fall off of your pages. Plus when we had the water problem it actually saved my WDW scrapbook. Now I’ll always be using the page covers.

Fabumouse- Welcome to the thread! Madeleine looks beautiful.

FloridaFam- I understand your reluctance. I trust the moms on our thread though and think as long as we keep it between us we’ll be fine. I was going to pass on the Halloween exchange because I’m so busy the next few weeks, but since we’re not mailing until mid October I’ll have plenty of time. So I’m in—I’ll PM you later.

Alice- Oh no about your throat. I hope you can get some medicine that will help you get well soon. Now I have to check out the tinkerbell costume on disneyshopping! I’ve been trying to find Olivia a princess-like costume to wear to our princess breakfast in WDW, but hadn’t found any dresses that were small enough. I might have to wait until Halloween is over though and see what winds up in the super-clearance section, because I’m really worried about money atm. We’re supposed to close in TEN days!

Jill- So sorry you got sick at DL! Sounds like you made the best of your vacation though.

Val- seems like your enjoying the new job. I got hungry just reading about all the wraps (and, ahem the brownies). I also get headaches from wearing my ponytail too high. Hopefully it will help if you tie it lower (it does help for me).

Well, Olivia was still having digestion problems, so her doctor said to try baby suppositories. I felt so badly having to give her one. It worked though, after 10 minutes of having a very unhappy little baby. The packing is going ok. I can’t believe there’s still so much stuff I haven’t packed yet. I should really be finishing some work instead of reading the Dis though. I haven’t even eaten yet today and it’s 3:30 pm!

jill - I can't wait to see some pictures :)

tasha - Kylie sounds very cute today! Completely understand about the exchange. That extra money adds up very quickly.

ginamarie - Glad Olivia is doing better, poor girl!

bnb - Jocelyn's dance class sounds like fun. I'm glad she likes it!

Z - how is Connor liking preschool? Good work cutting back on your going out. That's a hard habit to break.

alice - The MOA is about 45 minutes from us. Yes, it's fun to go to for something different. It's great people watching!

floridafam - Thanks for doing the exchange. Price cap... hmm.. since we are having both a fall and Christmas, maybe a $15 cap? :confused3 Whatever everyone else thinks. And I would say that it's just a cap, if you can't or don't to spend that much, you don't have to.

I found some boxes for my growth charts so I can ship them now. I did a rough estimate on the UPS website and I think ground in the US would cost $6 - $10. Not too bad!

Gotta go pick up this messy house and think about dinner before DH and Tyler get home!

Tamie

Hi everyone,

I have to tell you something cute. Kona and I went to Target today because I had nothing to do  The car was so quiet and as soon as I pulled along side Target and Kona saw the bullseye she started saying "puppy, puppy." It was so cute.

I told Dh about it and he said he didn't know if he should be happy because she can make the association between the bullseye and the Target dog or if he should be upset that she knows it because I shop there so much. :teeth:

I'm glad I went. They have a Poppy painting there that I have wanted for 2 years and it was almost 1/2 price today and I got the last one.

FYI-they had boxes of Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers marked at 15% off.

I'm still not sure if we are going to cap the exchange. I'll make that decision after I hear some more opinions.

tkyes,

I can't believe Marshall Fields isn't Marshall Fields anymore. I really enjoyed shopping there in Michigan and even shopped over the phone there after we moved to Florida.

Can I ask again how much you charge for the growth charts? I am interested in ordering one for Kona. Just PM me the details and if you are currently taking orders or not.

ginamarie,

I'm sorry little Olivia is having problems. I'm glad the suppositories worked.

I have to get dinner started. I went grocery shopping with the kids on Sunday and I asked them if they wanted Ziti. There was an older gentleman standing next to us in the aisle and he said "sounds good, what time should I be there?" :teeth: I'm using sauce from jar so it won't take long at all. Don't anyone call my MIL and tell her about the jarred sauce. :ssst: :)

Be back later.

Robin,

I hope your throat feels better soon!

Ginamarie, glad to hear that Olivia is feeling better. Good luck with the packing, I know it's a very long, tedious process. And then there's the unpacking.... Oh, and happy belated birthday!

Jill, glad to hear your room was great at DL and that you had a great trip despite getting sick. It's never fun to get sick on vacation, but at least you made the best of it. And I actually prefer driving to flying now too, but my husband does not deal well with driving if there is even the slightest amount of traffic so he prefers to fly.

Tasha, I think Kylie will be a cute Minnie Mouse! Sorry to hear you're catching her cold though.

DisKim, great photos!! I love your matching shirts too. My husband has refused to do that in the past, but I told him that now that we have 2 kids it will be easier to keep track of everyone when they're a little older so he's considering it. Also, I think you look great in your photos, not remotely hideous! I love that photo of Aidan sleeping too. Good idea you had of planning to buy the photopass cd in advance and then getting lots of photos taken. I always hate having to choose just a couple of photos when we get home so that eliminates that problem.

BnB, I guess that's why my husband thought it would be torturous to clean Henry. Of course he didn't say anything other than ask if I were insane for suggesting it so I had no idea why he kept telling me it was horrible. BTW, my husband does the same thing as your what, 9yo!?! He will continually put his dishes in the sink despite the fact that he could put them in the dishwasher and save me the extra step.

Alice28, good deal on Molly's costume! I'm so mad that I didn't order Madison's last week cause they were all $10 off then and now they're back to regular price. Of course she doesn't want to be a princess to save me some money! I have that Disney Visa code too, but it irks me that I could have used it last week and also gotten the reduced price.

FF, thanks for organizing the Halloween exchange-I'll send you a PM with my info. I don't really care if there's a cap or not. I'm thinking that most people will end up spending around the same either way, but I understand that it would kinda bite to spend $20 and only get a $3 package in return. And thanks for the heads up on the DS Halloween stuff. Of course that made me look at their site and want to buy so much stuff. I need to seriously limit what I spend though cause the whole vacation thing is putting me into a financial panic.

Gotta change Henry. He's happily sleeping in his travel swing with his head practically upside down. No matter what I do I cannot keep his head in an upright position. Oh well, he's smelly so he's coming out of there anyway.

GM- I'm so sorry Olivia isn't feeling well. I'm glad the suppositories worked, but poor baby! :guilty: I agree with the page protectors for the scrapbooks...esp when little ones like to look through the books like mine do. They always want to rip out their favorite picture, and the protectors prevent that!

I got some antibiotics last night for my throat, thank goodness. I feel better, but food still doesn't sound too good. Which is a good thing. I fell off the exercise/eating right wagon....I went back on last week and have exercised at least every other day. My BP has been borderline high the last two times I had it checked; but both times I was sick so the nurse attributed it to that. But still....I certainly don't need high BP at 34....if I could lose at least 20-25 more pounds, it wouldn't be an issue.

Tamie- so glad you found the right size box- I think the shipping costs sounds completely reasonable. Can you post a picture again of what they look like? :sunny:

Tasha- Kylie sounds darn cute as a cheerleader! :cheer2: I hope you don't come down with a cold; I always remember getting sick when the school year began, both as a student and when I worked in the school all those years. Blech.

Jill- sounds like you had a fab view at your hotel! We stayed at the DL hotel RIGHT before DH left for Iraq....I pretty pleased the check in guy for a room with a view and was one of the RARE times I brought up DH's deployment for a special favor- we were rewarded with a view of the back of Splash Mtn and a view of the fireworks. :thumbsup2 Don't you love that whole area at DL with the Matterhorn and the 'alpine' feel of Fantasyland? It's about the ONLY thing I miss when I am at WDW; that and New Orleans Square. Otherwise I love WDW.

BNB- LOL about Jocelyn and the dishwasher. Sounds vaguely familiar.... :rolleyes1 Sam is slowly but surely learning, I hope!

Well, Costco was pretty fun. I went into Target first and got Molly some MORE cups to try- and guess what- we found some she LIKES! They are the throw away Disney ones, but with a straw! YAY MOLLY! :cheer2: Then Costco was one of those 'fluff' trips. They had fruit snacks buy 1 get 1 free with coupon, Christmas wrap $4 off (so now everyone's gifts will be in the same paper for the next 3 years- it's a HUGE roll! :rotfl: ), other snacks $3 off....then I found the COOLEST maps- I'm so glad the ones I ordered from BN didn't work out. these are kind of illustrated for kids- 1 USA, 1 World and they fascinate me! And only $17! The boys talked me into an art thing, another Wiggles DVD for Molly, and then some apples and milk. :rolleyes1

Anyway, I need to now mop the floor before it's time for Molly to get up and we have to go get the boys.

ETA- LOL, FF about Kona and Target. I shop there way too much too. Glad you got your print. I don't care about a cap- $15-25 would be fine with me. I already am racking ideas in my head, and I don't even know who I have yet!

Justhat- isn't it funny how floppy newborns necks are!?! It's uncomfortable to watch....

Please don't mind my endless posts regarding the exchange.

How about we say at least $15. Is that too much? I guess a cap might be kind of silly because like someone mentioned, you could spend $15 and get something that cost $3.

I figure a bag of Halloween candy and a few other things quickly add up to $15.

If that figure bothers anyone, please PM me.

So, no price cap but let's aim for at least a $15 exchange. Sound fair?

Robin,

I also looked for my exchange buddy when I was at Target today and it hasn't even started yet. They just have so much cute stuff plus I like to shop-there I admit it.

I'm glad you were able to get some medicine.

justhat,

Hi there.

I've gotten quite a few PMs so far. :thumbsup2 This is going to be a fun exchange.

Before we know it, it will be time for the Christmas one.

Hi all  ,
No migraine today  . I think the low ponytail helped a bunch. Tomorrow will be my first "long" day. I'll be working 9-5:30. I'm a bit nervous about it but I'm sure it will be fine.

Diskim,
I got those Disney shirts for me and the kids too :) . I got them in lime green and navy blue. Dh didn't like the fit of his so it will be just me and kids wearing them.

GM,
I'm glad the suppository helped Olivia. Poor thing :guilty: . Good luck with all the packing. You must be so excited to move into your house :cheer2: .

FF,
Too funny about Kona and Target :rotfl: . I'll be sending you a pm for the exchange after this post.

Robin,
I'm glad the antibiotics are kicking in :thumbsup2 . I'm sure Molly will fit into a xxs from TDS. I got Katrina a xxs princess dress there and it's a tad big on her but definately wearable and she's only 30 inches tall.

Jill,
Your room at DL sounds wonderful :cloud9: . Looking forward to pics.

Tamie,
How great that your dh found a box for you :thumbsup2 . You should post your specifics on the thread for the growth charts.

BnB,
Well, my dh hasn't learned where dirty dishes go yet so I think Jocelyn is doing pretty well ;) .

Hi to GLT, Justhat, Loretta, J&D, and everyone  .

BB7 tonight should be interesting :woohoo: . I'm looking forward to it.

Justhat - I know! I was in such a rush to have the baby, I had serious paranoia that everyone on the list was going to pass me by. Or at least everyone due 2 months after me. While Madeleine was on time, she actually looked like a post term baby in some ways (her skin, the meconium passing) - so I'm sure I sensed something. :teeth: Things have been going well since she was born - mostly because MIL has been picking up ALL the slack (feeding the cats, watering the flowers, making dinner, laundry) and I am going to have to find a fantastic gift for her after she leaves (and before I become too freaked out about her being gone and DH traveling each week).

Oh, and Madeleine gets totally traumatized from our bathing as well - do you think it's the loofah? ;)

Thanks for the welcome, Strawberry Lemonade, TashaScott, gottalovethem, J&D, Tykes, Zalansky, llij, GinaMarie, and Floridafam!! And I totally agree about limiting the exchange - I think if the group doesn't know someone (including me, although I've been stalking Justhat for *months* now, I'm like family -- well, like weird family . . .) :teeth: then that person shouldn't participate until the next exchange. If they hang around long until then, then all is good. I myself would love to do the Christmas exchange.

DisKim - thanks for the welcome, too, and I'm forgiving you for not knowing what yeast belly is, even though I'm assuming that means you never had it. It's when one's belly is so squishy and soft that it needs to be rolled and kneaded and baked to get less squishy. And you look so nice and tan in your photos, too! I always look like a tourist from NJ! Oh, wait . . .. .. . . :lmao:

BnB Mom - I remember being bummed when you left the pregnancy thread - I don't exactly remember why, right now, but I believe it had something to do with you being so very candid and funny . . . Glad to see you again!

Alice - I have a bad habit of using scotch tape to "glue" everything together in my scrapbooks. I'm going to scrapbook hell, aren't I????? Sorry about the Strep - every time I've had it, I've been so amazingly exhausted. :guilty:

So - I fear that I've been blessed with the second baby who refuses to sleep. What I want to hear from everyone is that it's totally *normal* to refuse to nap for 10 hours straight, even if one is only 3 weeks old and has had every bodily need met over and over again (read: fed, diapered, loved, repeated ad nauseum), and it means nothing about their future napping capacity. Anyone???

My DD5 still finds sleep to be optional.

alice - Those maps sound great. Where were they in Costco, over by the books? I would love to put a map on the wall in my mom's play room.

fabumouse - LOL, I'm sorry you have a non-napper! I'm sure the lack of nap now isn't linked to a good future sleeper. I do hope you can get a nap out of the poor girl!

ff - I think the cap is just a guideline so people don't feel obligated to spend a lot if they can't afford it. lol about Target the puppy, too funny! Congrats on the picture. I think I know which one you are talking about. And yes, it's a bummer about Fields!

val - Yeah for no headache today! Good luck with your long day!

justthat - I know, no matter what you do, kids heads flop forward! It's crazy. Dumb question, do you have the swing reclined back as far as it will go? I don't think I realized that ours went back further than it did for a couple of months!

For those that asked - here's the growth chart info -

They are $40, plus shipping. I sort of have a few set designs, but I've been doing custom ones too if someone wants something different.

This is the sports one

As far as colors, the skies the limit! I have people pick a board color and then 3-4 accent colors.

Time to get back to painting.
