**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

Man I hope that weather is right! Were heading to AK on 1/21 hoping to get on Kali--it's always too cold when we try!

One thing I've learned during our past January trips is that the weather man can't get tomorrow right... let alone 12 days away!:rotfl: But I've got my fingers crossed they're right this time!:thumbsup2

January or ANY time of year, they never get it right. ;) There's no sense in worrying about what could be, just go w/ your plan (and ponchos or umbrellas) and as long as you're not the Wicked Witch of the West, you'll not melt and you'll be at Disney! Weather happens, you can either roll w/ it,or let it stop you. My my "roll" cinnamon please!:rotfl:

Hey Cara here.... a fellow weather checker. :wave2:
I'm driving myself crazy looking at the weather! :crazy2:
I will continue to look at the bright side and weather.com, accuweather.com and WESH.com are all forecasting sunshine and not rain. Even if it's in the 60's, that's 40 degrees warmer then what they're calling for at home.

That is exactly the same attitude I am having about the weather. I check accuweather.com constantly and the weather looks to be about 30-35 degrees warmer then our temps here in Chicago. As of right now, it is looking to be about 70 degrees when we land in Orlando on Saturday, but we are going to be flying out in about 35 degree temps with snow on its way about a day or so later.

Hi my name is PoohsFan1 and I am a chronic weather checker too :goodvibes

Hi, my name is Rachel and I'm a chronic weather watcher too.

I've been checking accuweather, weather.com, wunderground, Orlando local news channels, etc....several times a day. I might not get back from spending too much time looking at the weather!!!

Oh, who am I kidding! It will get packed and we will be gone in......

THREE DAYS!!!

2 more days! :cool1::woohoo::cool1::woohoo:

The excitement is definately kicking in!!!! And my DS is feeling all better, so I really think his dinner just didn't agree with him. I feel like i just need to make it through today, then tomorrow will fly by with work, last minute laundry and making sure everything is done and set out for the house/pet sitter.

I am so glad to hear that your little guy's tummy is much better and that it was just an upset stomach rather than the dreaded flu. So far so good here as well. I have been feeding Vitamin C to everyone and it seems to be working. I am just afraid that since the girls went back to school yesterday, they will catch something there....hopefully the Vitamin C will help fight off whatever is going around (if there is anything going around that is).

We still have our big suitcase to pack (this is our overflow that we could not pack in our carry-ons, our vanity, shoes, etc...). Once that is all packed then it is onto getting this house in order. DH is upstairs now doing our last minute bills and such squared away before we leave. For some reason I feel as if I am not getting anything accomplished around here. We actually leave in 4 days and I still have 2 days of work, watch my nephew tomorrow, and I am trying to do laundry and clean my house before we leave :sad2:. I am so needing a vacation :goodvibes.

Thank you! We're happy it doesn't appear to be a bug or the flu either.

Good luck with your packing and cleaning. Have a wonderful trip!!!

sorry for all the tummy aches and scratchy throats.

DD2 told me last night in the truck, "mommy my tummy hurts" ... and then preceded to throw up all over her car seat ... twice!!:sick::sick: Then did the same in bed that night.

UGH.

I really think she just drank some bad milk since it had been in the car for a little bit.

REALLY hoping that's all it was.

Everything is ok so far today...

Will start pumping the Vitamin C more, too.:thumbsup2

Never fails--11 days to go and someone gets sick. Took DD3 to the doctor this a.m. and she has a chest cold and ear infection. Z pack just started and lets hope this comes and goes fast!

sorry, to hear that too!

At least you have time to get the meds in her and hopefully recover, too.

I was worried yesterday about getting sick as I was feeling a bit off but I feel fine today.

Spent night at DSIL this past weekend and she was sick (bad cold) we left her house on Sunday afternoon...how soon before I know we are in the clear and we didnt catch anything from her?

I went thru all the stuff I bought for Tink/Mickey gifts and seperated it into 8 piles (8 nights) and bagged them all seperate. now I just have to wrap it all. I was surprised at how much I had. About 8 things per day and the first night was way more (like 18) cause I had all the stuff DS needs right away, like tooth brush, mouthwash, wash cloth vinalmations etc.

Also went thru the bathroom stuff I have been collecting and I just need a few more things.

Went to CVS yesterday to get pain meds (we are almost out) and also picked up some pain meds and cold meds for DS. We had some at home but I like taking a full bottle just in case.

Found a pair of sneakers I like on jcpenny.com so I might order them today and I might order some jeans for DH from walmart.

So happy just ordered DH 2 pairs of shoes from Shoe Carnival for $60. He always picks out expensive shoes so this is a plus. And we should get some of that money back seeing as his brother gave him sketchers for xmas and got the wrong size (told him to wear thick socks...yeah right) so we will return thoughs.

Then went on jcpennys and got my shoes...little more expensive but after giftcard I paid $35 so not too bad.

Tried to order some jeans for DH but he didnt like them. So we still have to get those and need a few toiletries. But pretty much doing good.

I got DD new shoes on Sunday and DH just bought shoes today too! I told him, you better start breaking them in now!

Then I looked at my own shoes and was like, hmmm, my sneakers are getting kind of old...

Tonight I packed up our food and snacks ... we'll stop by Walmart and get perishables once we get down there. Almost done packing clothes...need to start typing up my itinerary and getting surprise toys together.

It's getting super close!!!!:banana::cheer2:

I did some last-minute shoe shopping today too. Penneys had the best sale going today - two pairs of Skechers, one of which is the exact same style as my everyday shoes that are starting to look pretty beat, and a pair of boots for here at home all for $33. :goodvibes I love the folks over at the Budget Board... without their heads-up I'd have missed it completely and paid a lot more elsewhere. And the component cable to hook DD's iPod Touch up to the TV so the kids can watch movies at bedtime arrived today courtesy of BestBuy.com, got a quick test, and went straight into the suitcase.

I can't decide whether to take my New Balance Minimus for the trip. I'm totally in love with them but they aren't the most attractive shoe known to man and I haven't really put them through their paces on concrete yet because I walk/run on unpaved trails. I know how my sandals will hold up and I'm thinking I'll take the new pair of Skechers as my "in case of chilly weather" shoes.

I still have a few little things to pick up - disposable razors because neither DH nor I want to pack our electrics, a poncho to use as a stroller cover in case of rain, a couple long sleeve tees for the girls to wear under their outfits if it is chilly, etc. I have the first suitcase (of 3) packed, mostly with DD3's stuff and the air mattress for DS13, and the second has taken over my dining room table.

We leave tomorrow morning at 11:30!!!

I cannot wait! Tomorrow night we will have dinner at a quickserve place/food court, then hang out at the resort.

Thursday is bright and early- morning EMH at MK!!!!
