**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

We have used Garden Grocer in the past and were very pleased. There is a minimum and of course the prices are higher then what you'd pay at home, but if you don't have a car it's a great alternative.

I use Garden Grocer all the time also.
Great service.....we never have a car (don't want one at Disney).
We always have breakfast in the room and order water also.....and some snacks.
More expensive than the store, but still better than Disney prices and great to have things in the room.

Ok I'll look into them. We will be driving, so it might just be cheaper to swing by a grocery store on the way. Thanks!

We have an ADR at Garden Grill our first night there. Depending on how early we get to Epcot, we might do a ride or two first, but no idea what!
On our first full day, we're heading over to MK. I'm planning for our first ride to be Peter Pan. The whole family loved it on our last trip. :yay:

What will we ride first? If we go to Epcot first, we will head to our favorite, Soarin. If we go to Studios, TSM. The plan is to get the fastpass for TSM and then go into the regular line. Next we head to tower of terror and rock n roller coaster, riding the one with the shortest standby time, and receiving another fastpass for the other, as soon as we are able, which we ususally are after these two rides. Stop off at Starring Roles on the way back to TSM. FUN TIMES!!

Here's a question. i know it's not very original but here goes...

What will be your first ride and why?

Just realised I didn't answer my own question.

Our first ride will be Space Mountain!

I haven't been on in a while, but love the question of the day to pass the time.

1. I'm looking forward to all of my character meals since this trip is the first for DDs. I can't wait to see everything through their eyes and watch them get excited.

2. Epcot is our first park. We have an early ADR for Akershus. I'm not sure where we should go from there. Since DDs are too small for the popular rides, we won't be in a hurry to get to them or get FP. I guess we'll just take it as it comes.

Our first park day will be in Epcot, so it will probably be Living With The Land. We never make it for rope drop, so Soarin will probably have a long line and we'll go there to grab fastpases first, and once we get those, we'll probably go ride that ride since it's right there. Not to mention my son absolutely loves that ride, so much so that we took him on the Behind The Seeds Tour on our last trip!

Today's question
What snack or treat are you looking forward to the most?

For me it's a Dole Whip!

For me it's a Dole Whip!

There are quite a few of them, but my favorite is

Caramel Popcorn and chocolate covered strawberries from Germany in WS

Today's question

Somehow we came up with two snack traditions -- of course the Mickey Ice Cream bar but also a candy apple creation from Goofy's candy shop. Yum!

Today's question

I am dying to try one of those giant ice cream sandwiches from Main Street Bakery. That, or the jalapeno cream cheese pretzel at Animal Kingdom. Nom nom nom...

A microbrew at Big River Brewing (outside if it's warm enough).

I am so happy! We had signed up for the Southwest credit card when they were offering 50,000 points for joining. So I've been checking out prices for Southwest flights - and today I booked. I got all 4 of our flights for under 50,000 points. I am beyond excited! Spent a grand total of $119 (credit card annual fee and security fee) for 4 round trip tickets!!! :cool1:

I feel no guilt about booking that Pirates and Pals cruise now!! :woohoo:

Thanks for the thread!!! We'll be there from Jan. 21-29, 2012 at Bay Lake Tower. It will be our sixth January in a row, we love this time of year!:)

Now that I booked our flights, I feel it is official. We will be staying at the POP from 1/12-1/21/12. :cool1::banana:
Haven't decided which park we are going to first yet so don't know what the first ride will be. We aren't doing any ADRS.
I just had my favorite treat at Disney this past weekend. The Grey Goose Slush in France :) yummy

Today's question

Well, you can see in my ticker how we feel about Mickey Bars! Also the tye-dye cheesecake at Pop Century( not that it's so amazing, it just makes us really feel like we are at disney) And if it counts as a treat....Grey Goose Slush in Epcot:goodvibes

What snack or treat are you looking forward to the most?

A kaki gori from Kabuki Cafe in Japan at Epcot. Of course I will probably only get one if it is a freakishly warm day. I just checked their menu and they offer miso soup, if it is super cold I may have to try it.
