What snack or treat are you looking forward to the most?

The chocolate eclair in France's bakery and the chocolate caramels in Germany!!!!! :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

My Answer: We're staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and I'm most looking forward to the feel of the resort. It looks inviting and colorful and looks like it has a great Caribbean vibe. My son is most excited for the pirate ship splash pool play area.

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

I'm staying at Port Orleans Riverside. I am looking most forward to checking out the water and the boat to DTD.

We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter and looking forward to the newly renovated rooms and queen size beds.

We'll be arriving at Pop Century for a night and then checking in to POFQ too for the duration of our stay. I am so excited about taking a photo tour of both resorts. I love the whimsical oversized Disney decor of Pop and the laid back quiet serenity of POFQ.

What snack or treat are you looking forward to the most?

I'm still a Disney food rookie but I loved the Dole Whip and can't wait to share one with Mom when we visit. I also think we oughta share a Grand Marnier Slushie. wink wink. I'll let Mom drive. LOL. I can't wait to try a Napolean which I have heard so much about and caramel corn or anything yummy from the new caramel cottage in EPCOT. Truly though the soups and different hummus dips at Boma were the most memorable part of my last trip and really make me excited to return. Oh yeah, Mom and I will be there for dinner in January!

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

We are staying at OKW and since we have never stayed here before, I am looking forward to it all! We've done all the other DVCs so having a new place to explore is always fun.

I've heard the rooms are enormous, so that will be great to really stretch out a bit. Also, the boat to DTD will be nice.

Olivia's also gets rave reviews from fellow Dissers/DVCers so I'll need to make a ressie there, too, once I figure out my schedule again.

I am so very excited to be posting here! It took some convincing, but I finally got my husband to agree this morning to book our January 2012 trip!!! We are staying off property (which isn't ideal) but a relative gave us a great 1 BR timeshare w/full kitchen & washer/dryer at the Sheraton Vistana Resort just a mile outside of Disney @$199 for 7 nights, so how could we pass it up? We booked our 2010 trip 8 months out and the waiting was torture - I'm excited that this trip is only 4 months away! This one will be a surprise for our twin 6 year olds - hoping to do the big reveal either the morning we leave or right then and there at the airport. :woohoo:

The best part is today is my birthday -awesome gift!!!! Let the countdown begin!!! :cool1:

If you've made your ADRs, which one are you most excited about and why?

All of them!!!!
I have only eaten at Boma before so all the rest are new experiences. Being a foodie I love tring out new things but not too far out of my safety zone so Disney ensures it's pretty "americanized" for my taste buds by the time I get it. But since trip is just Mom (in her seventies) and I (less than that) we are going all out and doing some special Mother/Daughter dining events.

50's Prime Time - because I thought it would be fun especially for Mom with the nostalgia as those were her teen/young adult years, also we are staying in the 50's building at Pop for the same reason.

California Grill - Wishes viewing and dinner with Mom! Her first time to ever see Wishes live.

Rose & Crown dinner - Illuminations viewing and dinner with Mom! Her first time to ever see Illuminations.

Boma - The soups and hummus dips at Boma. Yum! Oh and besides the dining, Mom is really going to like the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort. She and I love going to museums and it's like a living museum. She will love the decor as much as DH and I did.

Liberty Tree Tavern lunch - That colony salad sounds so delish I must have one! Mom can get whatever she wants. (which will probably be chowder or something).

Raglan Road - Mom and I loved Riverdance and I thought the entertainment would be fun. We both love architecture and culture and folklore/history so we'll enjoy the furnishings and decor of the place. We both enjoy trying food we have never eaten or heard of before so this should be a fun adventure in dining.

Le Cellier lunch - Cheese soup. All beef burger. Creme brulee. Yum. I hope they still have the prix faire option as this is exactly what I will order. Mom can have a bite or two. I might make her get her own cup of soup after my first bite though.

Via Napoli - Mom doesn't know it yet, but I just know she will split that melon and cheese pizza with me. It sounds so different but good. And maybe share a dessert but it's unlikely we will have room. Maybe we should start with dessert first then to make sure, eh?

Kona Cafe dinner - Mom loves seafood, I love pineapple and anything but seafood so this sounded like a good choice for us both. After reading someone's trip report (I can't remember whose) I had to book this.

The Plaza - We will be in Magic Kingdom and need a place to rest and dine pre Main Street Electrical Parade.

Kona Cafe breakfast - We must try the Tonga toast and the Macadamia nut pancakes. I have to convince Mom we need to share. Or better yet, schedule another ADR?

Garden View Tea Room - Afternoon Tea - I thought this sounded like a great Mother/Daughter event and a nice relaxing break on our last day. I think we will enjoy the decor and touring the Grand Floridian resort and feeling pampered and making Mom and I feel like Princesses.

"OHana - I thought we would enjoy all the many courses of food and variety. I thought the resort was beautiful in the pics and know Mom will enjoy touring the Polynesian too. I think we'll enjoy the fun atmosphere plus we will have Wishes again with our meal on our last night.

Anyone who has dined at any of my choices have any feedback??? Any favorite dishes we should try? Any dishes I should avoid that aren't their best? Happy Noshing!

My Answer: We're staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and I'm most looking forward to the feel of the resort. It looks inviting and colorful and looks like it has a great Caribbean vibe. My son is most excited for the pirate ship splash pool play area.

Currently, I am booked at Pop and Shades of Green, but am in the process of trying to rent DVC points for SSR.

SSR is the only one with enough points for my stay, and it looks like a very nice quiet resort. It wasn't my first choice, but why not give it a shot.

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

Bay Lake Tower, it will be our first time staying at our home resort! Magic Kingdom view too!:thumbsup2

Which resort?

We are staying at All Star Music. Looking forward to the Great food and movies by the pool!

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

Old Key West! I'm looking forward to having a 2br villa to wind down in and seeing the renovations.

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

Fort Wilderness Cabins

-Looking forward to having enough room for my Wife and 3 kids (6,3,1) to sleep comfortably. Also looking forward to some peace and quiet while away from the parks. This will be our third time with the kids so we've learned a few things and hit our fave attractions instead of going commando.

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

I'm staying at POP - I think I'm most looking forward to the fact thet it looks so big, bright and busy that there's no way of forgetting where you are :) I'm only staying four days, so I want to make the most of having as much Disney as possible thrown in my face :)

Which resort?

We are staying at All Star Music. Looking forward to the Great food and movies by the pool!

We loved All Star Music. The movies by the pool were good and we liked the food court too. The turkey and dressing was really tasty. They have a build your own salad too and I made a taco salad, but there were other choices too. There was a nice selection and variety so it didn't get old even though we dined there several times during our stay. If you want to be close by but not pay extra for the preferred location ask for the Jazz buildings. Courtyard view were the closest but probably not as quiet as other rooms there.

Totally new here, though I've lurked occasionally for answers to random questions! (And yes, this is my first post.) Anyway, thought I'd finally join and say that we are also joining the January 2012 club! We went to Disney World this past January for our honeymoon and loved it so much, we decided to head back for January 2012.

We are currently booked from January 19th-January 29th, staying at Board Walk Villas but are waitlisted at Beach Club Villas. I'm 99% sure that we'll end up at Beach Club (my husband is going to call this weekend to check).

This will be my 4th trip to Disney World, and my husband's um, I believe 24th? His family have been DVC members for many years, and we're fortunate enough that they are willing to let us use leftover points when they have them, so yay for that!

Last January we stayed at Grand Floridian for 2 days, then moved to Old Key West. Loved it, but I can't wait to stay over in the Epcot area. Really hoping BC comes through as Stormalong Bay looks awesome (even in the cooler weather!)

Anyway, add me to the list of awesome January-goers! The very end of January is the best time to be in Disney, the weather is cooler and it's pleasantly quiet for Disney World. 4 months and counting now! :)

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

We are actually doing a split stay (first time ever :goodvibes)....we are staying 3 nights at BCV and then going over to Pop for 3 more nights. I am excited about BCV because it is my favorite resort and favorite part of WDW so I naturally get excited about anything there. As for Pop...I am really excited to try this resort out for the first time and see all the wonderful huge icons surrounding the resort, trying out the foodcourt (especially the tie dye cheesecake), and seeing the progression of how the Art of Animation is coming along. WOOHOO, COME ON JANUARY!!!!!!!!!

Today's question
What snack or treat are you looking forward to the most?

For me it's a Dole Whip!

Mickey Waffles!!

Today's Question of The Day: What Resort Are You Staying At & What Are You Most Looking Forward To About That Resort?

Fort Wilderness Cabins. The idea of staying in a cabin in the woods and with 10 days of Disney a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle while knowing it's only a boat ride away. :hippie:
