**The Official January 2012 WDW Thread**

I was even thinking one evening at the resort
I only have some of my ADR's
We usually eat around 6 pm as well
I'm sure we can find a time to sit and chat

Yeah, evening at the resort sounds good, I've only got 1 ADR which is on the early side anyway, so works out for me as well :)

We are surprising our DS for Christmas too! I would also love to hear some great ideas. Right now, my best idea is getting a plush Mickey in a pirate suit (because we have a pirate room at CBR) and putting a tag on him that says something like, "I can't wait to see you in 34 days!"

What a cute idea! How exciting for your first trip to be a Christmas surprise!

I think our plan is to do a big box filled with balloons with a note attached about going to Disney World in a month. I ordered the custom maps and the DVD, so I'm going to include those in with the note too. Then they'll each have some presents to open that relate to the trip - t-shirts, autograph books, etc.

For those looking to surprise someone with the trip, what about a scavenger hunt of some kind? Use the park maps, t-shirts...etc

Just booked the last thing for this trip :yay:
Lunch with an Imagineer.....can't wait!!
Come on Jan. (well, I do have a Dec. trip too, but that is different)

I just found this thread, I am going from the 22-28th Jan staying at Pop. It is the second stop on my holiday and will be my first time to the world. I am excited and a little worried all at the same time

:wave2:

We are going the exact same time as you....we are booked at BCV (we are DVC members) for 1/22-1/25 and my DH and I are getting ready to book Pop from 1/25-1/28 :cool1: (we want to spend a couple extra days at WDW once the ILs leave :goodvibes). This will be our first time staying at Pop and we can't be more excited. Have a great trip.

Aw, I'm just going to miss you with my dates. Where abouts in Australia are you?

^I think there will be several of us at OKW that week! :) We should plan a meetup at the Gurgling Suitcase one night!

BOOKED!

JAN 22-28TH at Ft. Wilderness Cabins

2 adults and 3 children (6, 3 and 1). This is the first time for my youngest and I hope we made the right decision to get a cabin as opposed to a hotel room. This will be a first time in the cabins for all of us.

We've stayed there before, if you have any questions, please ask away.

I FINALLY booked our airfare.

1/24-1/28 on Jet Blue.

Now the wait for room only discounts during that period begins.popcorn::

I need grocery delivery tips. I think we're going to do breakfast in the room every morning before we head to the parks. Our kids are early risers (~715) so I see this as feasible and still getting to RD.

Is anyone interested in doing a question of the day to get a little more excited about our upcoming trips (if that's possible :goodvibes)?

I guess I'll find out by the response, so I'll just go ahead and get started:

If you've made your ADRs, which one are you most excited about and why?

That sounds like fun! I think I'm most excited about our Kona breakfast ADR. I can't wait to try the Tonga Toast.

I've only made one, Jiko, but that is our favorite. We sit at the "Cooking Place" counter, watch the food being prepared, talk to the chefs and our neighbors. It's great dining and a bit of entertainment.

Quoting it put the question on the new page :)

I think I am most excited about our Ohana dinner on our last full night there. I can't wait to see the Polynesian resort up close, and who knows, maybe it will satisfy my DD's desire to go to Hawaii - at least for a little while!

Unfortunately that is one I can't answer, we didn't have meals in our cabin, we did use the fridge for some leftovers and extra soda, water and ice. I think we made coffee or hot chocolate one evening, but that was it.

If you can I would suggest you stop maybe at Walmart on the way and pick up what you need. I have also heard of a place called Garden Grocer, but know nothing about them.

Sounds fun: I think I am most excited about Rose and Crown, I have been wanting to eat there for a long time and Ihave heard great things about it from here as well as from my SIL.

I have a second one, LeCellier, because I have heard it was really good.

I am so excited....we originally were staying just 3 nights at BCV but DH and I decided to extend out stay 3 more nights. So now we are doing a split stay (first time doing this). We will be at BCV from 1/22-1/25 and then heading over to Pop from 1/25-1/28 :cool1:
