The *OFFICIAL* Grey's Anatomy Fan Thread!

Oh, I thought it was a good show last night! There were a couple of good one liners :) What initially brought George's father to the hospital? Just the shoulder? Or was there more?

I thought it was hysterical when Derek & Addison went to go talk to the chief to "help" him & got into the argument about marriage :rotfl:

Izzy & Alex in third person? That was :happytv:

So, how long until everone knows about Burke and what happens next week, the episode looks good!

I love the chemisty that Addison and Derek have. Much better than with Meredith.

Oh and if I'm not mistaken, isn't the actors for addison and christina the two that were in Under the Tuscan Sun?

sk8ingmom enjoyed last night's episode!

sk8ingmom's first reaction to Burke & Christina's plan was: "They are going to kill someone." Might it be George's dad? Sk8ingmom hopes not, but could see it happening.

sk8ingmom loved Callie's car analogy for the O'Malley boys & when Bailey called George "O'Malley" & all 4 of them answered.

Sk8ingmom thought Frank was annoying!

I thought it was something about passing out and falling (hence the broken clavicle)

Yes. Hysterical with Derek and Addison in with the chief, having their own little disagreement. Of ALL the ppl you'd want counselling you about marriage, I don't think it'd be them!

Izzy and Alex in the 3rd person was too funny!!! I was sorry to see her freak after Alex kissed her. They were so cute together up until that point.

I think that now that Bailey has overheard some "Burke" talk someone will be all over that.

We'll be at MIL's in FL next Thursday. I'm REALLY hoping we can watch the show. It looks good!!!

mickeyboat loved it when Izzy was feeling Frank and Alex's pects at the same time.

She looked happier last night than she has in a long time.

What did they mean in the previews that next week would be an hour long extended version of the show? Does it mean no commercial's or something?

I wonder what led them to decide to scope George's father? Wonder what would have given indication outwardly that that is where the problem was resonating from...

**make sure if you Tivo or DVR that you adjust your clock or you'll miss the end**

HEY!!! At least we are getting a new episode!!! I don't look forward to the re-runs :happytv:

So an extra ten minutes, minus the 3 minutes of commercials & we get 7 minutes more... okay, 7 minutes is 7 minutes, I'll take it :rotfl:

I can't wait until next week! How pathetic am I??? :teeth:

I am still catching up on last season, so I am going to finish watching disc 5 in a minute. I am so glad I get my GA fix between episodes.

I LOVED Alex and Izzy talking in the third person. They are cute. I am falling for Alex now. I like him when he is with Izzy. It is like she makes him want to be a better person.

I loved Bailey's singing. I think being a working mother with a high powered career is hard. And some people aren't "great" mothers. I think it's hard to deal with though. You want to be everything to everyone. I was glad they brought the nanny back.

Um, other than that. I still think Addison is preggers. I think that is why they started touching on the working mother thing again.

loved alex & izzie "together" again, hope this works out....

I don't know if I'm feeling the Addison might be preggo storyline, I think the divorce is finally hitting her and she regrets not having kids while they were married. I think she realizes McSteamy isn't going to marry her and give her babies anytime soon. If they do have her preggo on the show I really hope it's not a "who is the daddy?" situation. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Oh and I'm not sure who asked but Under the Tuscan Sun starred Sandra Oh (Christina on GA) and Diane Lane, not the chick that plays Addison. I love that movie so much!!

In the case of the girl it seemed that both of her parents worked all the time. But if I'm not mistaken Miranda's husband is home a lot with the baby. But I would still think that as a mother it would be hard to be away that often.

I looked it up and Kate Walsh is actually in that movie. I certainly don't remember her and she was way down on the cast list, so she must not have had a big part.

Yeah, Kate Walsh was Sandra's SO.

I kind of like that Izzie freaked--they'll slow it down at least. Sadly it gives Alex time to screw it up again. BOO!

Loved Bailey's singing. :)

Thougth the working mother was an idiot! Her anger towards the Nanny was misplaced. It wasn't anybody's fault...an accident. Also found it telling that dad needed a "connection" and I assumed it was work and mom was working also. NOw surely they needed something to keep the minds off the fact that the daughter was having lifesaving surgery. But honestly---they are THAT focused on work that they can shut off and concentrate while their daughter could possibly die? It was very telling.

Bailey is a very hardworking woman...but still cared and showed it when her hubby was in the hospital. She did butt in every now and then at work while she was visitng him off the clock to cases--but it didn't take away from her personal life when a family emergency struck. Heck--she even refused to push her baby out.

I think that was her SO. Diane Lane was the main character who was friends with them.

Wow. I didn't think that at all. For all we know he was calling Grandma and giving her an update. Him working never crossed my mind.

With all her file folders--it just seemed to me that is what it was.

Of course it woudl have been lovely if he had been secretly calling the Nanny as he longed so much to get what his daughter wanted/needed.

Didn't occur to me that they were that tight of a family unit to consider calling family for support.

Having worked in an infant intensive care unit, I've seen really broken people call on estranged members of their family during desperate times. Sad that something like that is needed to pull some families together. :(
