Nobody bumped this for last night's show??

OMG, :confused3 where has everyone gone?

I really thought last night's episode was funny... but I didn't get the Burke/O'Malley exchange where Burke said that O'Malley was too critical...

I thought Meredith would go off with McSteamy... does she have so little regard for McDreamy? But, in the end, McDreamy rescued her from herself.

Anyone else out there watch last night?

I think he meant that George responds to the first thing he hears---when it t's him off..he reacts on the spot. I think another word would be judgemental.

But Alex said the one thing about Callie and bam--that was it.

George's expectations are too high for everyone.

Loved it last night. I was also a bit nervous about Mer and McSteamy. I actually thought that when McSteamy came back into the bar, that McDreamy was going to turn around and see him and then walk out. But THANK GOODNESS he didn't!
I thought the exact same thing! I was almost yelling at the TV, "NO, NO!!!", but then luckily changed that to a "YES, YES!!!" when she introduced herself to McDreamy. I think there would of been alot of upset viewers if she'd of hooked up with McSteamy.
DH also thought that maybe when Addison was getting so emotional over the baby, that maybe it's going to turn out she's pregnant.

I thought so to. It didn't upset me as much as make me mad. Why do they always have to kill off babies? Also, the woman was in severe pain and wouldn't take any pain meds for it because of her baby. I understand it would be hard to tell someone their baby died, but she could have gotten some meds a lot sooner if Addison had told her. I think it was wrong Addison to look at the ultrasound, and not tell them immediately. She walked out of the room leading the couple to believe everything was ok with their baby.

That's what I thought too. Actually, when they showed Cally in the bathroom, I thought they were going to show that Addison was throwing up (possible morning sickness).

Beth--good points!

I even recall on a baby story--during taping (though they didn't catch it on tape)--the mom fell and severely fractured her ankle. She required surgery--so they had ot induce her. She was far enough along though. But she didn't have a dead baby--her baby was completely healthy. She had the surgery shortly after the baby was born.
If characters or characters-to-be have to die....a legitimate reason would be lovely.

Hadn't thought of Addison being preggers--she has been much much more emotional lately...a bit on the unprofessional side.

I enjoyed last night--liked Derek's "we're a bunch of idiots" or whatever he said. Addison's patient storyline was annoying. I wish they would have explained what the baby died of--b/c the amniotic fluid is the worlds best shock absorber--and more than a slip in the shower would have needed to been going on to kill her baby. At first the story line I thought would upset me--but it t'd me off more than anything. Women get in serious car accidents that far along and aside from an excited baby---maybe some injury--but it doesn't outright kill their baby. For this lady--obviously her wrist took most of the impact. LAME LAME LAME!! (And yes I am sure it happens IRL--but they needed to explain something--and to let that poor woman to suffer through the pain of having her wrist reset....)

Okay--And so happy McDreamy and Meredith have re-met.

The camping trip was pretty funny. And push needs to come to shove--they cannot keep Burke's secret forever.

Totally agreed on the stillborn baby line. I think it was cruel to keep those parents in the dark so long. It had to have been quite some time between the ultrasound and Addison telling them.....there was time for crying in the bathroom, watching the parents throught he window, setting the arm, etc before they told the parents. At least if they'd have told them, maybe mom would have accepted some pain meds for the reduction of the fracture.

I'm sure dh will be discussing this in his podcast this week.

I agreed with the whole stillborn storyline, until she told the couple. It was like they knew. They knew something was wrong, had known for awhile (be it days or hours) but were hoping against all hope that they were wrong. I can not recall their exact words, but it was something along the lines of "I won't believe it until you say it."

No. I can't agree there. Because didn't the mom mention something about falling, and the baby was very active and then fell asleep? Then mom and dad were mushing about "we have a good sleeper."

And when they showed them they seemed very happy and excited. Not until Addison came in with her grim face did they suspect anything. I think they just wanted to HEAR her say it rather than assume why she had the long face.

To me, they didn't seem like a couple who suspected anything bad about the baby.....or they'd have been more serious, asking lots of questions, etc

That was my take on it anyway.

I thought along those lines too about Addison being pregnant......possibly with McSteamy's baby??????? :rolleyes1

I think Burke and Christina are going to be found out soon - George is on to something. Is it me or do Burke and Christina seem like they are not a couple in love? It seems that there is no spark between them?! Did you see the look on Alex's face when he told George about Callie? It was positively Evil! The Chief with his Pate and rolling suitcase was so funny!! Next week's episode looks really interesting!

Why does Alex care if Callie was with Sloan (McSteamy)? It's between Callie and George. I was just starting to like Alex. I still do though. George kind of had it coming.

As for the baby, I think Addison is pregnant also. I think there is going to be a plot twist, maybe it's Richard's (the chief's) or Alex's (he was working with her). Not really though, you can say what you want about her, i think Addison's character only slept with McSteamy.

And the baby plotline. I 100% agree that they should have explained what happened. A fall that far along doesn't usually cause death, it can, but not usually. That is one thing I am not sure I could ever handle.

I don't want to get into the debate of what is worse, but I knew someone who had a stillbirth once, and I thought there could never be anything worse than that. My SIL said it would be worse to lose an older child. As my daughter gets older, I understand what she was saying. I don't know why I mentioned it. There is ao much hope with a new baby.

I used to think that would be the worst too....but as my kids have grown, I have no idea what would be worse now. Yes, there is so much hope with a new baby....but there's also all the plans you made with an older one. Either way I think it'd totally stink and I hope I never have to find out.

I DO know that actually laboring and delivering a stillborn would be SO incredibly difficult. I mean, childbirth is hard, but women do it knowing soon they'll hold that little baby in their arms....makes it all worthwhile.

Sad sad stuff.

That was the first thing I thought, too, about Addison being pregnant. But I think she also slept with McDreamy not too long ago.

Sorry, I meant the only person she slept with that she wasn't married to. Though I can't assume that married people sleep together. I know they did after the prom. I don't remember after that... I am so confused. I am trying to catch up on season two while watching 3.

No need to apologize! I just couldn't remember when she last slept with Derrick, so I wasn't sure if the baby could be his if she ends up pregnant. I didn't think they slept together after the prom - he slept w/Meredith during the prom, and Addison found her panties the next day. Did I miss something where they slept together in between then?

The only time that I can remember when Derek and Addison slept together was the night Derek saw Mer at the vet's place. He assummed they had slept together and ran home to Addison. I also don't know what the timeline is here, but I think Izzy said this week that Denny died a month ago. It could very well be that the Derek and Addison encounter was a week or two before that. So we could definitely be seeing a "who's the daddy" plotline coming up. Ugh, now that I think about it that would be a big thing that could break up Derek and Meredith again. Remember, this is the whole premise of the show we can't have them be happy forever and always.

This is a good one to use, even though i'm subbed to both. I am excited to watch tonight.

I just posted on the other thread "declaring" (Yes, I'm Queen tonight :rotfl: ) that we use this thread since it says "official" and it's only from this season. I posted a link to this thread. Hopefully, we can get everyone on the same page. :thumbsup2

Grrr, those parents were ticking me off. I'm glad they finally let the nanny come back and be with the little girl. Wasn't really a great show tonight. Liked seeing Mer and Derek back together. I felt bad when the Chief said he wasn't going to visit Ellis anymore; he's the only one that makes her happy. Next week looks good. I wonder if I'll be able to sneak away from the family festivities to watch! :rotfl:
