Gee, I got an email too but it was for RACK RATE! Why bother sending me something I could have booked months ago if I could afford it?! We have been to Disney 5 times in the last 6 years. With all the info they collect you would think their marketing deptartment would know that I have 5 in my family so a value is out (unless we want 2 rooms), that we usually stay at the Poly (last 4 trips), and have never booked without some kind of discount. If I were in marketing, I would think the better way to get me back is to offer something at least similar to what we have booked previously. Also, had bounceback been offered last August when we were there I would have booked again for this August in a heartbeat.
After our very first trip which was in the month of November the next year we received a postcard for the same resort we stayed at and for the same time of year asking us to come back. Unfortunately, we couldn't manage it that year but I do think they would get more families back if they offered what they have booked in the past. There usually is a reason people choose certain times of year or particular resorts. That is more enticing to me.
