We are planning a trip for Feb 25th through March 3rd, with my parents and our little boy who will be turning three on this trip!! I can't wait. Can anyone tell me where to get started as far as looking for a location? We are not yet sure if we want to stay onsite or offsite. We would love the idea of having a bigger place with two bedrooms in order to all stay together. Any suggestions for places like that? This will be my third trip to Disney but my parents FIRST! and of course my little boy's first. Got the dates, now time to work on the rest....

A question for you that have been on Presidents Week. How busy is it really? We have been twice for Christmas and twice aroun the 4th of July, can it really be busier than those times? We are going at this time because our kids are off for Mardi Gras and this year it falls in line with President's Day !

We go every time over Presidents Week and I never have found it to be overly crowded but the only time I have to compare it to is one time we went in July and THAT was crowded. We also use The Unofficial Guide to WD to help plan our daily itinerary and we go back to our lodgings around 1pm for a respit and then go back to a park late in the day sometimes the same one and sometimes a different one. The only drawback is it is considered peak season so it's expensive.

BUT my hubby is a teacher and I never want to go in the summer again so we'll do what we have to do.

I do like the weather in FL during Feb as I live in the North East and I hate the cold.

Southwest is releasing flights the end of this month for February and I want to be able to get a flight right away but I am worried deals won't be out yet. Last year SW released flights in August and shortly before that Disney released its deals too....so do we think Disney will release deals by the end of the month to go along with flights????

Not sure on "deals" but Disney release 2012 package pricing just a few weeks ago.

Generally speaking booking a flight ASAP doesn't get you a great price. This isn't a hard and fast rule but 90 days before the flight is on average when you'll find the best prices for flights, barring any specials. I know for me in Atlanta I need to wait for the low cost airline (AirTran) to have a price drop before I'll see the other airlines do so, and AirTran won't release their schedule for February 2012 until September 2011 so I'm just waiting.

An option I use is Airfarewatchdog.

You can setup an email alert for flights from A to B and it'll email you only when it sees a lower than normal price. Be mindful of the restriactions (travel by dates, blackout dates, etc) and that the deal may not last more than few days or even hours. The deals aren't through Airfarewatchdog, they just monitor prices and you can usual find the same deal on the airline's website.

AirTran puts their schedule out 5 months in advance, so figure around September. I'm hoping to see Delta prices fall after AirTran offers a lower price.

We are planning our trip Feb 15th - 20th. My dh thinks I'm nuts for planning this far in advance and being so into the message boards, lol. Stayed at POFQ this Feb, not sure on where yet for next go around. Thinking SOG.

We just switched from a One Bedroom at Jambo house 2/4-2/11 to a TWO Bedroom at Kidani Village 2/5-2/11! I am SO excited to try Kidani Even though we have one less night booked....my in laws are going to rent a house so we can just crash with them the first night

So excited that February hours were posted!!! Now the real planning begins.

When does everyone's ADR window open? Ours is on 8/14. I'm very happy that it's a weekend so hubby will be able to get the kids breakfast so I can be otherwise occupied.

Starting my obsessive planning tonight! Gotta figure out what ADRs to make....We have Me, DH, DS, MIL, FIL, DM, DA, DF, DF, DSIL, DBIL....they all think Im nuts cuz I am asking everyone where they want to eat for each meal already! WHATEVER I will just pick the places myself and if anyone puts up a stink than they can get QS!

Just switched our gathering from AKV to BWV. I figured the food at AKV was too exotic for the extended family. We are going with my SIL, niece, and my other SIL's family for my niece's graduation. I did hear from other family that they are sure if they will go or not (we are giving them a free studio) so I am a bit on edge worrying they may cancel out on us. I am not planning on ADR's at this point so if we only do QS so be it. I am hoping I won't live to regret trying to be nice and offering a vacation to family. Next time I will hog all the points for myself
