ok, I am THRILLED we will be getting Free Dining again this trip BUT we have to change our dates.....does anyone know WHY the week of Feb 5-11th is not offering it? We have been there on that week before and crowds were super low so is something going on that I'm not aware of?

That takes you to the Magic Kingdom calendar. You can go to Parks above, select a different park, then click Calendar under Overview to the left.

Probably trying to encourage you to show up that Friday or Saturday. Remember only your check-in date needs to be within the range, not your whole stay. Stay the 4th through 10th instead and you're golden.

Yeah!! Just modified our reservation and got free dining and was able to upgrade to a moderate and still saved $900! So change me again!!! My new details are 2/16-2/26 POFQ!!!!

Okay, our new dates are:

2/12/11 to 2/19/11

shortened the trip, so we could be in the free dining dates but not to much time over Presidents day weekend/week.

Still staying at POFQ.

That actully pushed back my ADR day, but not to bad.

We wont do IOA this trip, but it still gives the hubby the day to go fishing with his buddy who lives out there.

In order to take advantage of free dining and avoid testing conflicts with my son's school, our new dates are officially February 3-11, 2012....almost a whole month earlier than we had planned on going, but oh well.

We are going again!! We are booked Feb. 4 to 17 at POR. I booked for check in on the last day to get free dining and then we are flying out right when the crowds will be arriving for President's Day. We actually wanted to go right after the holiday week end and leave before the spring break crowds arrive, but no free dining then even though it would be a slow time also.

I'm arriving Feb 1 for FD!!! Staying at POFQ. Our dates are 2/1/12 - 2/7/12.

I was able to book our dining for Feb 1, but I keep on getting an error message for any later dates.

To everyone that will be going in February 2012, there are only 7 days, that will be available, unless Disney adds more dates. We just booked our trip and we got the FREE DINING PLAN with our trip. So if you're planning a trip, those are: February 12, 2012- February 18,2012. You can go DisneyWorld.com and check the available dates, This will be our best Vacation, EVER.

I haven't updated in a while. We are now booked at BWV Feb 16 - 24, staying 8 nights in a 1BR villa. Scary clown slide here we come!

I was becoming obsessed with searching out airline prices, so I finally just booked on Delta BOS-MCO for $286 each including taxes/fees. Layovers in both directions, but direct flights were outrageous. We are flying late on the 15th to save money, and will stay at the Hyatt MCO the first night, taking the ME on the morning of the 16th. I was able to book the Hyatt for $69 via priceline. Deal!

Now I have to figure out which days we are doing what, because that will affect our ADR's. We won't be booking the dining plan as we think we can save money by choosing carefully when/where we want to eat out, and then cooking in our room a lot, and bringing lunches with us. It's not just a cost thing, we really don't like to see our kids loading up on pizza, fries, mac/cheese, chicken fingers every single day.

I read somewhere that Typhoon Lagoon will be closed next Feb. Can anyone confirm?

The only way you can get free dining (if you are a DVC member) is to buy a room package that offers dining. So we would have to pay for the room. As far as I know they don't offer discount packages on dining either. If you are a cash paying guest staying in a villa you would qualify too.
