Although I can't stand them, I just had to laugh at that! :rotfl2:

I love Cadbury Eggs. Took all my willpower not to buy them! Thanks for the pantene tip I'll look for the trial size. The Viactiv this week is a great deal but my stores are all sold out! I went Sunday night and was able to find 2 of the flavor glides but that was it and I've been to 3 CVSes!!! Well I guess when they're free they sell out fast!:rotfl:

My regular CVS did not have any Viactiv left on Monday. Today I was at the mall and so I stopped at the CVS there..they had three containers of Viactiv left on the shelf, two of them had expiration dates of March 2007! So I only bought one.

So, I went online to print out my ECB coupon thingies and it printed out more than one for the same thing. I can only use one of them though, right???

Anyone??? For example, I got $11.98 back for the two things of VIACTIV I bought. 2 $11.98 ECB coupons printed out. I can only use 1 coupon, right?????

I'm not sure? I haven't heard of this happening to anyone so not sure of the answer but I would imagine not. I would think that with them being on computer paper vs. on a CVS receipt paper that they would question the 2nd one (like did you print out duplicates- not saying you did but that would be what the store would think) but had it printed out at the store then I think they would have to honor it. Hopefully someone else will have a better answer than me.

yeah, for some reason, it just printed out twice. Nevermind, it says that the coupon can only be redeemed once. Thanks!!

Hi ladies - this sounds like a great thing to do....can you tell me how to get started or point me to an old thread about it???

Go ahead and buy the 'soon to be expired' viactiv. After they get back in stock just go in a do an even exchange for one's that have a later expiration.

You can sign up for your Extra Care Card by asking for one in the stores or clicking on this link: http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/extracarehome and signing up online (usually takes up to 2 weeks to get your card in the mail vs. starting immediately in the store). You can also reads terms & rules on same website.

Basically the card works like all the grocery stores. You need the card to get advertised sales. But you can also earn Extra Care Bucks (ECB's) by purchasing certain products. You earn a flat 2% on all sales but certain products are advertised as getting back ECB's and these products either cost little or end up free, sometimes you can even make money. For example this week Viactiv Viatimins are on sale for $5.99 and they are offering $5.99 back in ECB's so the item is free. Usually these specials are limited to 1 or 5 offers meaning you can only buy that many and still get back ECB's.

You can use mfg. coupons on top of sale prices, even if they are giving you back ECB's for the full amount of the product. So using the Viactiv example above, if you have a coupon like the one from Sundays paper of $1.00 off you can use it at the time of purchase and after ECB's you will have a $1.00 profit.

Your ECB's print 2 days after the initial transaction or your next visit, whichever one comes 1st. You can get online to check your balance and print out your ECB's from home as well but many recommend making sure that your own local CVS will accept the home printed ECB's vs. the ones printed out on receipt paper.

Your 1st sale or even your 1st couple depending on what you purchase are usually the big cost. After that you roll your existing ECB's onto you next purchase and paying nothing or very little. The last couple transactions I have had ended up costing me OOP around .11 and .38 after using ECB's and I will be replenishing those ECB's with what I bought.

You will not get change back from ECB's so make sure you use all of it when spending. If you purchasing 2 separate items (like deodorant & shampoo) that have ECB's on them you will get back 2 separate ECB's - 1 for each item. BUT using again the Viactiv example from above - limit is 5 - if you purchase 5 in 1 shot, you will get back 1 ECB for 29.95 so if you want smaller increments, spread your transactions out over the week. Same items purchased in the same day are grouped into 1 ECB.

Woo Hoo! Thank you! I can't wait to get started!!!

Here's my shopping trip report, went this morning before work:

1-Gillette Fusion Power Razor - $11.99 - after coupon = FREE
1-Gillette Fusion Blades - $14.59 - $2.00 coupon = $12.59
2-Infussium 23 Hair Care - 2/$10.00 - $6.00 coupons = $4.00
2-Aussie Hair - 2/$6.00 - $2.00 coupons = $4.00
1-Excedrin Extra Strength - $6.99 - $1.00 coupon = $5.99
1-Excedrin Tension Headache - $6.89 - $1.00 coupon = $5.89
1-Excedrin Sinus Headache - $7.49 - $1.00 coupon = $6.49
1-Mr. Clean Magic Reach - $9.99 - $3.00 coupon = $6.99
1-Febreeze Spray - $5.49 (I think this is the wrong price, oh well) - .50 coupon = $4.99

Total before coupons and ECB's = $79.43
Less Manufacturer's Coupons = -$28.49
Less ECB's = -13.00

TOTAL OUT OF POCKET = 37.94 + tax 1.20 = $39.14

In two days I'll have $35.00 ECB's for the stuff I bought today which would make this trip only costing $4.14. :yay:

Hi there...I'm a tad confused :confused3
I went onto the CVC site...put in my Extra Care # and up popped my info.
It says I have quite a bit of $$ in in my point balance. Question....is that $$ there for my use? and how do I redeem it? It also says it expires on 3/16. Could use some help! thanks!

I'm excited, I wanted to try Aleve liquid-gels. I might also get the clear care, but I already have two bottles of clear care stocked up.

The earnings you can't take out, the "current coupons" you can print out.

There should be a place to "access now", then you will be sent to a screen to "activate" the ECB. Then you will advanced to a screen to print the coupon (be sure to note instructions if you have a pop up blocker on!). If you haven't been to a CVS since you earned the ECB it should print at the store after your next purchase. If you don't have any shopping planned there, you can always call CVS and have them reset the ECB's so that they will not expire on 3/16. Also be sure that your local CVS WILL accept home printed ECB's as some people have had trouble redeeming them in stores.

Under "coupons" there is nothing...guess I do not have any. I'm headed out in a bit, will stop by CVS and purchase something small and see what comes up on my receipt I guess. :confused3

I bought the revlon eye makeup the other day and when to use it this morning and found out that it comes in more colors than just black.:confused3. I wanted black. I just throw out the receipt cause I would not need it, so it is right on top of the trash. anyways how is the return policy at CVS?

Rumor has it that the week of 3/18-3/24 CVS will be offering this

$10 ECB wyb any of these 3 items LIMIT 1

*Alka Seltzer or Phillips' $4.99
*Aleve Cold & Sinus or Alka Seltzer Plus $4.99
*Bayer $3.99
*Aleve liquid gels $3.99
*Aleve $6.99
*One a Day Vitamins $6.99

A little better than the existing $3.99 sale with $1 ECB back if you wait a week and a half plus if you use mfg. coupons it will be totally free or money made!:cool1:
