Here's some news to snack on....it's not OFFICIALLY confirmed yet, but you oughta know anyways...

Rumor has it, CLAY will be making a special apperance on the American Idol finale WEDNESDAY night!!!​

The news originated at a gossip blog that I normally would roll my eyes at, but other outlets, including ET, have picked it up, so hopefully it's true.

(Of course, if he's not on in the 8:00-9:00 hour, I'm gonna have SERIOUS issues with Lost on at the same time.... )

That's what I'm sayin', Deb. I have to record too, but I really hope Clay is on the first hour....I like to watch him "live", but if he's on during Lost (9:00-11:00), I'm not sure which one I'll be flipping too.

I guess we should just be happy we'll get to see him!!

Thank goodness I have DVR on the tv downstairs...and a good old-fashioned VCR upstairs!! Those of you with iPods...or access to iTunes, you can download the latest episodes of Lost and watch it the next day! A normal episode is $1.99...not sure about the season finale. That's what DH and I did last week. We taped the Amazing Race finale downstairs, watched AI upstairs, and downloaded Lost the next day. I haven't watched it yet as I'm about 5 episodes behind...but DH watched it! School is back in session for me now and I have classes on Monday and Wednesday nights this Summer. So i'll be taping AI and watching it the moment I get home!!

Anyone know if he's gonna sing or if he'll just be in the audience?

You can go right to the abc.com website & watch episodes of Lost, Alias, & Desperate Housewives (and I think Hail to the Cheif). They keep them on there from week to week. There is no cost for this & it works pretty well. HTH.

Thanks for the tips, guys!! Actually, my issue isn't with recording the show (we've got the VCRs set for both shows anyway), but with choosing which one to watch. Normally, I watch Lost over AI, especially for this week because if I miss the first hour, I can't watch the second hour til the next day, which....is....just....annoying. But, on the other hand, I stay loyal to Clay, and I don't wanna be the last one on the block to see him perform for the first time in SIX MONTHS.

*sigh* Decisions, decisions. Life is so tough.

Reports say he'll be involved with a special performance (I'm thinking maybe the Top 12 medley or something?), but there's some doubt as to the validity of those reports. We'll see.....

ETA: It's OFFICIAL!! The AI site officially has Clay as "performing".

I'll be so glad to see him! It's been far to long. Maybe, hopefully, he'll do a new song from his new CD.

I'm suprised he's performing. I didn't think they'd "work things out" since he broke his contract with the producers.

That's true, Kim, but he's money and they know it. Plus, I think he's still with the label, and Idol will ALWAYS own a piece of him. Maybe they'll announce something about the new album tomorrow!! *prays*

While I'm not much of a Taylor fan (Katharine has local ties here in NJ even though she's from CA), this is still a scary thought. I can't wait to see Clay tonight, and I hope the rumors of some CD news are true!

What the.....

I have no idea where it went, but I saw it there yesterday. There was a little link with the headline something like, "Special performances by Carrie Underwood and Clay Aiken." Maybe they changed it after last night's show?

Thanks for that Lost vs. AI list, though!!

Only problem is I STILL can't choose....all the list did was confirm my mother's suspicions that I get WAAAAAAAY too invested in tv shows!!
