*** The Official August 2019 thread ***

From the Disney website. I did see another from touring plans that mentioned pound cake and scones, typically starbucks baked goods, but not anything like what is used to be. I looked at photos too and really think they got rid of all the Disney baked goods :(

Now...

Is there another "Disney" bakery in the MK?

They still have treats like cupcakes, cookies, etc... at the Main Street Confectionary.
I don’t think that really includes the baked goods that you mean though.

Thanks! Ill have to check it out. Unfortunately its a bit of a hike from the monorail. We used to take the monorail over during the fireworks, go to the bakery, then get back on the monorail before the fireworks were over, to our room. My kids thought I was the coolest mom ever :) They loved picking their bedtime snack. My youngest is now 15 and my only child going on this trip...she wont care, but just wanted to continue a tradition one night!

we’re counting down!! 25 more days!!! First time at Epcot area- staying at Beach Club, can’t wait to try that bakery! Get a break from keto 😂😂 Down 90 pounds and finally just 10 pounds from goal!!! Hoping to lose 5 more before the trip...then walk my tail off so I can eat a cupcake, a caramel apple, and a Cheshire Cat tail...I’ll split them with my husband- but I can’t wait to enjoy some cheats 😁😁😁

A case that looks exactly like this can be found at the Main St. Confectionery, which is on Main Street, across from the flagpole on the same side as Tony's/The Town Square Theatre! Lots of yummy cookies, candy apples, marshmallows, etc.

Good for you!! I’m on Keto as well, 22lbs loss for me with hopefully another 5-10 to go but I’m definitely looking forward to some treats on our trip! 21 days for us!

OK Im officially confused. Is Main St Bakery, sponsored by Starbucks, different from Main St Confectionary? I thought Starbucks took over the confectionary and turned it into a coffee/scone/pound cake store? Is the confectionary still there with all the baked goods?

2015......

Nope, they're separate! The Bakery is a bit further down Main St, in a different building on the same side of the street!

Might as well join the trip plan sharing:

16 - Get into MCO around 230pm, check into Beach Club, Dinner (Supper) Beaches & Cream
17 - Bfast Ale & Compass, Stormalong Bay, DHS at night
18 - MK including lunch at the Plaza and the little man's first haircut
19 - Cape May Bfast, Stormalong Bay, Art Smith Dinner
20 - Epcot
21 - Stormalong Bay, Epcot, MK
22 - Stormalong Bay, Date Night (Yachtsman or Flying Fish) then Epcot or DHS and then the boardwalk
23 - AK with Tusker House Bfast
24 - Epcot, Lunch at Via Napoli, leaving MCO around 7pm
We are going same dates as you but arriving at 11 and flight home is earlier.

Saw the new Lion King tonight / I truly enjoyed it. To me, it showed and gave me the Disney magic feeling. My DD said the background music reminded her of AK. I told her just think 2 weeks from tomorrow we will be in AK!

Two weeks today we will be there. :sulley:

We are just a few days behind you, 2 weeks and 3 days

They've updated MK hours today. Now it closes at 10:00 each night I'm there except the night there is EMH on the 7th ans it closes at midnight that night.

Sweeeeeeet. I had pretty much given up hope, and figured they were going to close the park early due to low crowd expectations. I am quite happy to see the 10:00 closings, at least we get to see the park when it is truly dark, and they aren't starting the fireworks when the sky is still light.

Such a great tradition!

That’s awesome!

my daughter doesn't want to pack until a little closer because she still is going to summer camp lol can't wait.

My daughter goes to summer camp too. Normally I bought my kids summer clothes around April, then would not let them wear anything because I wanted to "save" them for our vacations...in September/October!! They would wear them once on the trip, then they wouldnt fit the following summer. This is the first year I decided how foolish it was and am letting her wear clothes for our trip all summer long. Have to say, its been nerve racking. I cross my fingers each morning that she doesnt sit on the ground, trip in mud, spill ketchup, drip ice cream etc... !!
