I haven't posted on here in quite some time and thought that I would pop in and say hello.
I'm following Galloway's "upright position" plan for beginners doing the W&D, so today was an easy 4 miles with the first one being a "magic mile". I'm feeling pretty good with how my training is going. My magic mile times are getting shorter and shorter, which is the goal. Today's magic mile was 9:01. I use Nike+ to track my runs(love it!) and when I setup a distance run, it gives me an estimated time based on my previous runs. When I enter 13.1, it estimated my time to be 2:07:50. While I would LOVE to finish in that amount of time, I question whether I could finish with that goal in mind...considering the longer distance, more walk breaks, crowds, etc.
My longest run so far was 9.5 and my time was 1:34 and my pace was 9:53, so I would love to target a 10 minute mile and hope for a finish time of 2:15 (5 extra minutes for crowds, etc.) Do this sound reasonable? (My first half marathon and first Disney race, so I really don't know that I'm in for-lol!)
I have a 10K on 10/12 and my goal is to come in under 1 hour - even if it's 59:59.

I plan to submit my time at the expo. Are any of you submitting race times for corral placement? It would be awesome to find fellow disers to chat with in our corrals while we wait for the race to start. My dh plans to drop me off and drive to epcot before the race starts.
Best of luck to all of you now that we're down to the nitty gritty of our training.
