Day 2 The Flight
Wake up make some instant coffee in room have pastries and Doughnuts which we brought with us as we wernrt prepared to pay £18 each for a breakfast..! 10 mins before we get the shuttle bus for the short drive to airport I nip out to the car and its got a puncture..! If I had time I would have changed it there and then but I didnt so I prayed the car park attendants may do it for me while Im away..! (They werent on duty yet so I couldnt ask/beg!)
Made way to airport went to first choice desk exactly the same time as another family who did day before check in too.and are both taken to security these women with laptops on trolley who scan your passports we were through no problem but the other family I noticed had trouble with the mothers passport,the screen I coudnt help but notice said More Documentation needed The women was talking and out of nowhere this big X Files FBI type of guy appeared and took over The Computer My heart sank I hoped theyd be able to fly,The poor kids I walked away saying a silent prayer I never saw them again but I really hope they could travel ..
Boarded the plane and with being 6 foot 5 and 300 Ilbs I was curious if they really did have bigger seat pitch as claimed ,they did great and comfy The entertainment was not so good though,The better movies cost you an extra £5 which peed me off they were dangling the good movies like carrots in front of a donkey But I got to watch willy wonka so im happy with the basic package!! ,Its also the only airline ive been on that charge you for coffee..!!? Is that for real!! I was informed A complimentary coffee would be given with Dinner!! I love Coffee Im not a tightwad But after paying £1000s on the holiday Im disgusted they want more for coffee
This time for the first time we flew to Sanford anyway after a long 9 hours we landed why is there a big scuffle in leaving the plane? you usually meet up at baggage carousel anyway! In fact we were some of the last people to get off the plane but were first to get our cases YYEEAAHH!!!even beating the First class folk..!
Leave the plane I thank the Stewards and esses We are through Immigration in no time then collect our before mentioned cases through customs were we chat to a lovely American lady..Outside where we notice the heat it is glorious!! In the eighties!! It was in the minuses in The UK so This is most welcome!! to First Choice office pick up all the junk and before he even trys to give directions I tell him this is our second home!! And he laughs and doesnt bother,I then head to Avis office to collect our Chevrolet Classic (Which I found a little tight!!) Should have upgraded.. Leave airport so from sitting on the plane to driving down the road it was 40 mins!! That in my eyes is Amazing !!
Heading down I4 I notice a lot of Roadworks never noticed as much before (Reminded me of UK!!)
Pull into Quality Inn International Check in Our room is on the 5th floor with great views of Islands of adventure,This is the 4th time we stayed here Its a great Location and easy to get on I 4 but from events on the holiday we said we Will Never stay here again.Leave Gill and Hannah to unpack Me and Rachael sprint to 7-11 I love them I Need Coffee!! I have a super size Kenyan with Peppermint flavouring!!! $1.45!!! similar thing in UK would cost you 3 quid!! Head into Burger King next door For some grub (Fries for me Not big on Burgers.) Where an English woman in The Line gets a text message she then tells me Chico has been knocked out Of X Factor!!! NO!!! Holiday ruined !
Get back into room give out grub and X Factor news and I start looking round room Microwave,Fridge,Coffee Machine,Iron,Board But the toilet seat is chipped The TV is aincent The fridge has a puddle in it And The AC was falling apart and worked as it liked,In Hindsight should have changed rooms but we unpacked (My stuff was still in case as my drawer was jammed!!!) and couldnt really be bothered!
Watched some TV and I was the last to fall asleep
