the tag fairies will have to change Bobs tag to "screams like a banshee" LOL

Hi, all!
Just in from a grueling day at work. YUCK! Today was a baddddd day.....

Ann--I had to LOL at your invite to Patrick to come on in vrs. standing on the doorstep peeking in the windows! And, here, you were supposed to be the good one. :p

Bob, the Banshee. Too funny!!

Hi, Debbie!

Teri--even baby steps are a giant step sometimes....More {{{HUGS}}} coming your way.

:o I get my very own hello from Sue :o

I knew all along that Ann wasn't the "GOOD" one ;)

OK, I am definitely BAD BAD BAD. ANd not cuz of anything I've done HERE.
I have been trying VERY hard at work to be patient and not act superior (though I am superior) - with management that does not know how to manage and "support" staff that does not support anything or anyone but their own agendas. I, of course, am in the middle. And so after two rather childish (NOT on my part) and frustrating incidents in the last 2 weeks, I am CALLING IN SICK tomorrow. I have NEVER called in sick when I am not really sick. Seriously, it goes against my personal work ethic. But I am calling in sick tomorrow, let them deal with my absence even though I have 2 client appointments scheduled (that's the part I feel bad about). I'm dismissing DD from school an hour early (that's goes against my principles too) and we are driving to the boy's varsity soccer playoff game an hour south of here for a 2:30 game. (Her BF's on the team.) So there. I keep waffling and DD keeps saying, aaww c'mon mom, be a rebel! ;) and DH says, you ARE sick, you need a mental health day from that place!
`

Go Ann!! See you need a mental health day, sounds good to me. :)

Hi everyone else, hope all is well.

Deb - sorry about that comment - I will try to behave. :)

Here is a Halloween smooch for you all!!

Okay my fun for the night is over. Good morning to you early risers, hope you have a nice day. I think tomorrow is going to be a good day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See ya!

Gee, Ms, thanks for the kiss.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Hope everyone has a frightfully good day!

Good morning and HAPPY HALLOWEEN to all!

Ann--a mental health day sounds good to me, too. I've secretly been known to do that once or twice, myself.

A day off for me, too, and after the horrible day yesterday, I need it. I got roped (late yesterday) into helping with Justin's Halloween Party at school, today. I really hate doing these things, cause I never know what to do. I really hate it happening at the very last minute like this, cause now I really have no idea what to do and no time to try to come up with something. I bought plates and napkins last night, and hope to find some "goody bags" to fill this morning. Maybe some Halloween game I can print off form the internet. Any ideas??

That's it for me today, I guess. I am disappointed because it's supposed to be cool here tonight (as opposed to the last three years when it has been really warm), so, don't expect as many kids as in the past. Guess we'll have lots of candy to eat in the coming days.

Hope everyone has a good day!

good morning and
Happy Halloween!!

Christine, please don't behave....it wouldn't be as much fun!!

Ann...you go for....you could could use a mental health day  :p
you know I mean that in the nicest way :teeth:

enjoy the game....hope DD's BF wins!!

Sue, have fun....but i don't think I can help you with the game thingie.....I work with preschoolers so yours wouldn't be into the same thing
Mine will play "pin the nose on the pumpkin" and hunt for hidden pumpkins and that sort of thing
if you tried those in Justin's class......he would probably put you up for adoption :teeth:

I think Christine was bored at work

Good morning and Happy Halloween. DD gave me the advice on what to say when I called in: "You don't have to lie Mom, just say you're not feeling well enough to come in. " So here I sit in my bathrobe DISing.
MS...thanks for the...kiss  LOL
Sue, the only thing that stands out in my mind from ancient history...a Halloween party I went to in 5th or 6th grade...was bobbing for apples. There was a big container of water on a table...not real deep, and the mom had stuck coins halfway into the apples in different spots, so you could get a grip on a coing with your teeth to get the apple without sticking your head underwater so much. Also they had little Halloween favors stuck in the apples too, like those plastic spider rings? You could use one of those plastic underbed storage-sized containers and let just a few kids do it at a time. You'd have to bring a watering can or pitcher or sumpin' to schlep water from t he sink to the tub. The other thing we did at that party was make caramel apples....sorry that is all I can think of, you'll probably have better luck on the internet ;)
Have fun with your kiddos Debbie :)

Hi Shellie, Cookie, SSB, Milo, Brandie and everyone else....
still thinking of Teri and family too.

good morning cheerleaders...happy halloween!!

i never look forward to halloween...honestly, it scares me. i used to work at a hotel at the front desk on 2nd shift (3-11pm). it was in july of 1996 when i was robbed at gunpoint. well, i never actually saw the gun, but it was close enough for me. anyway, he came in wearing one of those "jason" masks from the friday the 13th movies. thankfully he just took the money and left. i was unhurt...physically anyway. ever since then, i have near panic attacks whenever i see that stupid mask. and inevitably there is always a few trick or treaters at my door with it on.

i have never been one who likes to feel scared...the only haunted house you could get me in is the haunted mansion! lol...and even then, i won't ride it alone...i'm such a big baby!

oh, and then i had this run in with my ex husband. well, a run in on the phone. anyway, our divorce was final last december but we're still dealing with financial issues. this is just so frustrating!!! he kept the house, so that's not a factor aside from the fact that i am still on the mortgage. he can't get it refinanced to get me off of there without lots of money out of his own pocket...i'm just frustrated...

thanks for listening...
have a good day!!!

{{{HUGS}}} to you Brandie!!

vent here anytime....thats part of why we're here ;)

Happy Halloween, to all of you RASCALS!!!!!

:) :) :)

ACK!, about the Front Desk robbery... sorry to hear about that very scary one!!!!

For some reason, SSB has had bad luck also.... sprained ankle badly one year as a kid, and had to be carried by my Mom... bitten by a dog one year..... stepped on a rusty nail one year.... ahd the best, was getting KNOCKED OUT cold, by a tree limb that fell on my noggin'... for real! HHAAHHAHAHAHHA!!!!

I am off to Viriginia this weekend.... going to see Virginia Tech play Pittsburgh ... should be QUITE a change in climate for "Florida Boy Bob".... EEK!!!!!

Leaving the stand half day, today... for "trick or treating" with the kiddos. All three are "Black Cats" this year.... :) :) :)

Have a great one, all!!!

Yikes, Brandie, have that DH of yours answer the door tonite!

Um, SSB, with all the animal adventures and Halloween mishaps you have had......bitten by a dog, bitten by a horse, bird smack in the head, tree limbs, sprained ankles....not to mention the other SSB tales of falls at the baseball game, cars blowing up...........
WHAT'S UP with the THREE black cat kids ?!?!?! Be VERY VERY afraid!!! Have fun ont he weekend....if you make it.....bwahahahahaha
;)

You know, SSB never thought of that!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!

 wow Bob.....your Mom was once able to carry you
its hard to imagine you ever being small enough :p
