Beckie ~

The dates are Feb 19/20 (we are driving, so I don't know whther we'll arrive Sat. or Sun.) till Feb 26 or so.....and, speaking of AP rates, how does one inquire about an AP rate?? Anyone have a phone # to call?? And, do ya actually NEED to have [in your possession] an AP??

Tink! Pretty soon we'll be there. Dont forget to look for me coming into Boma as you're leaving!!!

Hee, heee. I'm actually very happy for all those going to the lodge :teeth:

As far as the AP rate, just call CRO and ask if there's an AP rate available for the dates of your stay. You will need to have the AP at check-in but not to book the room.

Good luck!

Called (407)W-DISNEY and got $161/nite rate for AKL (ok, so it's NOT WL:rolleyes: !) and now I'm doin' the HAPPY DANCE! Yippee-skippee!

Congratulations!! I'll dance with you! That's the best feeling, isn't it?

...I should reconsider ~ I also was quoted $181/nite for Ft Wilderness cabins!! What's a gal to do??!?!?!:hyper: :scratchin

Ooh, that's a tough one. However, since I've never been to AKL, I'd probably try that. BUT the $181 for FtW is a great deal.....

...eaten dinner at Boma twice. The AKL is AWESOME. Don't know if I can do 'WL withdrawl", though..... (such a dilemma to be in!)

HughJackman'n'me, I'm not following you - honest. I just subscribe to both threads! I replied to your last post over at Humphrey's. Wow, what a decision (if only all decisions were like this, LOL). I Love Fort Wilderness but I've never stayed at AK. It looks gorgeous. My one drawback is, it seems so far removed from everything. I envy you the FW rate!!! I tried for something this fall when the postcards came out & there was nothing for the time I had available.:( Another point in FW's favor - you're really close to WL...The cabins are really cute... there's a lot to do...it's SO relaxing. Plus I loved the peacocks wandering around outside - one was sitting on our deck when we arrived - like a tropical welcome wagon! (SIGH) How will I last till next year????

Jessica:wave:

KIM..... I know how you feel about the AKL vs. FW dilemma beccause I just went thru it a few weeks ago, and decided on AKL for most of the stay at discount rates, and WL for the last 3 nights WITH NO DISCOUNT! OUCH!
But I couldn't go thru complete WL withdrawal, so I'm biting the bullet and pulling out the plastic! I'll let you know how I liked the AKL when I get back!

....guys. Yeah, I know it IS such a dilemma. Add this to the mix: I can get a rate of $155 for Swan on Hotwire. What to do, what to do!!

My youngest DS wants to go "camping", so I know he'll wanna stay at the cabins. I've done a split stay before...:scratchin hmmmm, now THERE's an idea....!

Hello everyone, boy don't know what's been going on but I haven't been able to access the DIS for over 24 hours...What's up with that??

Kimmar

Mousesavers has a discount code for the General Public that is BDP
Ask for Code BDP and get special discounted rates at select Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins 1/2/05-4/16/05.

Mousesavers.com

The current AP discounts are for dates 1/2/2005-2/16/2005 so your arrival date isn't covered by the AP rate yet. Disney will more then likely release another code before your arrival to cover your dates...that being said did you check on your dates using the General Public Rates, they are only a few dollars more then AP rates and you wouldn't have to purchase an annual pass for your trip. You can make a reservation without the AP in your hand you will just need to show it when you check-in. Many people purchase their tickets on-line and recieve their voucher tickets through the mail, they will then receive the actual Pass from Guest Services when they arrive at WDW. You can receive the AP discount if only one person in your party has one, meaning if it would be less expensive to buy another type of ticket for everyone else, you could just buy the one AP. But I wouldn't purchase the AP until you have the reservation for the discounted resort rate.

AAAh, but with the AP, you have a better justification as to why you need to go again, and again, and again :teeth: ::yes::

Beth

I was trying to give good financial advise, so Kimmar would have the best information available...(being an adult) :teeth:

I buy up to eight passes a year so everyone can come to WDW with me...$$$$...that way I alway have my nephews & nieces to back up my many trips. "Have Pass will VISIT" But I only have a two hour drive, my seasonal passes aren't as expensive, and if I pay attention to when the codes are released I can always get a great discount, when I'm not staying with my DVC points. I'm hopeless.

We'll be going Dec. 4-11th - our first time at WL! I was wondering if there are coffee pots in the room, or should I bring my little 4-cup pot? I hate not having coffee when I get ready in the morning, and don't want to have to run downstairs to get it. Also, I have a woods view room - hate to say it, but I've gotten a little confused as I read all of the posts - can I get a view of MK from the woods view, and in everyone's opinion, where would you ask to be? (We will need two queen beds). Thanks!
