Hi All...
I have 2 questions...

1. Will I be able to fit my laptop in the safe in the standard rooms?

2. If I wanted to go to epcot via the monorail... is it possible to take the boat to the contemporary and ride the monorail from there? About how long of a trip is that? Thanks in advance!! :sunny:

Yes, you can take to boat to the CR. You can then get on the monorail and at the first stop is the TTC, which you will need to exit the monorail and get on the other monorail going to epcot.

1. Laptops will not fit into the wall safes.

2. I think it would take you about an hour to do this. The bus is much quicker. I would only do it you're not in a rush and you're doing it to take in some sites along the way.

The front desk has some kind of special safe that should be able to accomodate your laptop. I would call to check that out.

QUESTION....QUESTION.... Since the recent (unfortunate) huge 2007 rate increase for WL rooms with bunk beds, will all the guest rooms with bunk beds strictly be courtyard rooms????

Thanks!!:flower1: :flower1:

Haven't been to this thread in awhile. Just saw the renovated rooms and had to put in my .02.....I'm not thrilled :( . Now that I've seen the furniture I have come to believe that the only reason I chose WL was for the (replaced) armoires. I loved those. I guess I didn't realize how much until now. I haven't paid much attention to functionality. Maybe the new ones are better in that way? BTW, I've never been to the WL. This opinion is based strictly on the photos available online. We are staying here in Nov./Dec. of this year. I hope it all looks better in person. Maybe Samantha will do an updated Great Hotels and we can get a much better look at the new-and-improved WL. (I won't hold my breath though.)*sigh* I really liked those armoires.

:cool1:

Just booked our stay at WL as a surprise for DD's 8th birthday. DH is excited, but doesn't quite "get" my WDW addicition. This will be our first time at WL. We visited last trip on a whim, and DH and I looked at one another and said "This is us."

We are just thrilled at being able to hop a boat to MK, Fort Wilderness and CR (campfire and Chef Mickey's).

How much time should we allow to get to the campfire? Is there a special bus we need to take once we get to Fort Wilderness via the boat?

Thanks!!!

There is a bus that travels between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness lodge, which would be the fastest way to get to the Campfire. When the bus stops in FW at the settlement depot (Pioneer Hall) tell the driver you need to get to the "Meadows area" for the campfire and they will direct you to the next bus you should take.

At the Settlement Depot (bus stop) you will want to watch for an internal bus--orange Outpost or yellow Outpost. Ask each bus driver if he is going to the Campfire program. When one says yes, get on. The driver will announce the stops. Before you get off at the right stop, ask to be sure if it the correct one and ask which way to walk (you can be coming from two different sides of the campfire area). The bus drivers are very helpful and will steer you right!

If you take the resort boat you will have to walk from the dock at Ft. Wilderness to the bus stop beyond Pioneer Hall. You will then catch a bus to the Meadows area.

Allow enough time to get there in case you have to wait for a boat or bus.

Well, we are so excited to be able to say --- tomorrow we will be at Wilderness Lodge! Woo~Hoo!

This will be our second time there, our first time being a couple of years ago. We like trying new resorts, but we always return to our favorites. :goodvibes Maybe we'll get one of the renovated rooms. If not, I'll still ask if we can see one. I will be perfectly happy in an old room since I think I might like the old decor better. Oh well, we'll see! Anyone have anything in particular you'd like me to look for, check out, report back on? We'll be there a week. I am so excited!!

ADisneygirl

I'll be there Friday morning, I'll be the one with 3 blond headed boys (one will have a bright Red Cast on his leg) We also have reservations at Artist Point Friday night and plan to visit Territory Lounge before dinner if your around stop in and say Hi.

Good Heavens....I didn't know it had a name! Of course, I didn't know I had actually broken the toe until I arrived back home. I am packing a night light to use when I get there later this week :wave2:

Is there anywhere at the WL to buy a case of bottled water?

We will be there June 30 to July 8 so it will be hot. I don't want to buy lots of very expensive little bottles of water and I've heard that the tap water isn't very good. Since we will flying in and using ME we won't be able to carry much with us.

Just a suggestion....Brita makes individual water bottles that filter as you drink. I used one of these for the entire trip last October and it made water fountain water taste like it came from a mountain spring.

I purchased my bottle at Wal Mart-they are white with a royal blue screw on top.

ADisneygirl & Beckie,

Please try and take some pictures of the new seating area in Roaring Forks during your trips. I still don't think anyone posted any.

Have a great time :thumbsup2

We're arriving Thursday afternoon :cool1:   We requested North side woods view, upper floor. If 5 is still out of commission, which would be best for balcony view of MK fireworks??

Is 6 very smoky for Non smoking lovers? Rooms and hallways? worth it for view of fireworks with DS4 who loves balcony view???

Are there any bunk bed rooms with fireworks view?

Thank you!!
