Can you purchase autograph books at WL? When we arrive we probably won't have a lot of time before we head out to dinner and I want to be sure and have an autograph book for my dd. I even thought of possibly buying one on Ebay just so we would be ready to go but if they are at WL I'll just wait and let my dd pick one out. Also, can anyone tell me how much they are? Thanks

They have autograph books and fat pens at the Mercantile. :)

:sad2: I am so bummed.

I have only been able to get a AAA discount for our trip in Nov/Dec (Courtyard View). I can live with that though. But, for my and my mother's trip in Feb, I haven't been able to secure a discount of any kind. We're staying CL in Feb. After all I read (for the last year and a half or so) about all the AP discounts folks got, and since we've never been to WDW and want to return next year for MNSSHP, I thought it would be great to get the APs (which I did this spring/summer). As far as rooms go though, the AP hasn't had ANY benefits what-so-ever. Oh, and we're staying during the Value Season. For both trips. :furious:

Just wanted to vent my frustrations.

We are now at the WL! We got a complimentary upgrade to woods view AND bunkbeds!! :thumbsup2 We are on the North side, third floor with a view of a pond. Tonight we were able to see the MK fireworks! All of the CMs here have been so friendly and helpful. I could not be happier! :goodvibes (This may be my new favorite resort.)

We had a great dinner at Spoodles last night and another one at WCC tonight. The weather has been cooler than I expected. We spent the afternoon at Animal Kingdom and the crowds were not bad at all.

Any specific questions I can help with?

Could you give us an update on the bus transportation? Another poster in another thread said that bus service has not been very good, with very long waits for buses and longer than usual transportation times, I am assuming, because of the construction. We have a trip planned here for October and I am getting a bit nervous, especially since the last trip we stayed at the Poly and had fantastic transportation.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!!!

Thanks for your good wishes!

I am sorry, but I can't help you with the bus situation. We always rent a car - I got really sick on a bus once and cannot ride on them for any length of time. I will ask others here though, and report back on what they have to say.

I do know that there are currently no direct buses to the MK, so I imagine the boats must be pretty crowded. We'll be trying them on Tuesday, weather permitting! (Ernesto!)

Thanks I'm glad to know that. My dd did find one on Ebay she liked so now I'm trying to decide if I will go ahead and buy that one or just wait and get one at the Mercantile. :)

sorry if this has been asked, with no bus service, can we drive our vehicle to the MK lot instead of taking the boat?

Has anyone arranged for a private dining experience while a guest at the WL. My DW :bride: and I are spending 5 nights at the WL celebrating our 15th anniversary and I would like to arrange a private dining dinner one of the nights. Any thoughts would be appriciated :wave2: .

Thanks

Am I right in believing that all standard view rooms only have 2 queens and no king beds ?

would love to upgrade our oct stay from Coronado to WL but really want the King...and dont want to pay more than the WL standard room price,

cheers...

Hello all,
We are hoping to get into the Villas for DVC next summer. I just want to subscribe and start my research. My first question is, does the WL or FW have fishing like at POR, not a chartered fishing expedition, but a dock where my DS could swing a pole around and "fish" for a little while? He would love to be able to do that.

I can't wait to see the WL it looks wonderful. We live in the desert, and don't have much foliage around so I'm really looking forward to staying in the "forest". Thanks all :thumbsup2

I'd love to hear the answer too! I have an "old" Mickey pole that was my sisters (back in the '80s) and would love to pass it on to my DS to bring if there is dock fishing. Thanks for the info!!

You can drive or take a bus to the TTC and then take the boat or monorail to MK from there. There's just no direct bus to MK from WL at this time.

You sure can. That is what we sometimes do, but do it early if you want a good parking spot.

I hope it's OK to bring this up. We stayed at WL 3yrs ago and there was a
box on the trail to FW, without reading to far back in this thread, just wondering if it's still there. We are coming back the WL in October, can't wait.

Sort of an open ended question :stir: , but the DW trip I started planning 1 year ago for my two little pricesses is now less than 1 month away, and, with all my specific questions already answered by most of you, I'm wondering about the things I don't even know to ask. :confused3

Anything new happening at WL or DW in general? This business about the busses scares me. Have all the rooms been refurbed? Any tips on getting a room request (we really want two ajoining rooms for the DGPs.)

I am getting excited about our upcoming trip to the Lodge. We are staying 2 nights concierge (surprise for my mom and son) and then it is over to the villas in a 1 bedroom for the rest of the trip. I can't wait to rub Humphrey's nose again.

Are you allowed to have decorations in your room? We will be there for Christmas and I would love to put up a small Christmas tree with lights. You know for Santa.

Sadly, the memory box is gone. Our family had an exciting time finding it (in the dark with flashlights!). This is one of our great memories of the Wilderness Lodge, thanks to Majestic. pixiedust:

We did it... we are booked for WL, and concierge!!!

I have a couple of questions for you WL experts:

Should I request a specific view / room?
Can concierge get us Fantasmic dinner package... I have tried and it was all booked up for a certain day I want.
DD's bday is the week before, should I mention it?
Also, I will try to go through the hundreds of pages on this thread, but if someone can give me some more concierge info... I would really appreciate it!

I am sooooo excited for this trip, it started out as a long weekend at POP, and now look! :cool1: :woohoo:

Dancing in my chair right now! :cool1:
