Are all the bunk bed rooms (woods view) together? My younger dd has mild cp (gets tired very quickly), and I was trying to figure out where we should request our room. We'll probably use buses and the launch most of the time.

Thank you to everyone who has posted such great info!! This is our first time at the WL and omg...we are SOOOOO excited (I think DH is a lil more excited than the kids..lol). Im hoping to see some of you (making our lime green mickey heads this week)!! Does anyone decorate their windows or doors at the WL? We have stayed in all of the values, and of course everyone does it there, but is it ok at the WL??:confused3

Thanks!!!

switching topics...Can anyone tell me the hours of the mercantile? I know Roarin' Fork and room service close at midnight, but I was wondering if there was any way to get late late snax...and would prefer not to go to a vending machine

I'm pretty sure the Mercantile closes at 11pm.

I just realized that one month from today I will have spent my first night in the WL!!!!!! It is a suprise trip to my children and they are going to flip.

I would imagine that many of the standard view rooms overlook the lobby as those are mostly a parking lot view from what I recall.

Woodsview is going to be north tower and wing for the most part. There are also standards that are in the north tower over the service area.

You can always request that your room be on the lobby but requests are not guarantied. I know at one point you could fax them in.

We returned late Wednesday night from WL. Our trip report will be forthcoming. Hated leaving the 80 degree weather for 35 degree weather.
The kids had a great time, even though the 2 year old developed a nasty cold.
We enjoyed it so much we will be investing in DVC and will be going home more often.

It was sad to leave and now we have to finish our laundry. :laundy:

Anyone going to WL soon, enjoy, it's a fantastic hotel.

How is the arcade at the WL? It will be just my DH and I but we like the arcades. Do they have the tickets to trade in for prizes? What kind of games do they have? How big is it? If it is not so good is it worth going over to the CR for their arcade?

Hello everyone! :flower3: Forgive me if this was asked before or seems like a silly question. We have a Courtyard with bunks booked for next Dec. 6 - 14, 2008 because that's all they showed available a month ago. Now, all the categories have shown up in their system. I ws going to downgrade to a woodsview bunk to save money, but I keep changing my mind because of the view. I started to love the idea of seeing that beatiful lobby when coming out of our room. I also heard of some rooms that you have a little fireplace and cozy chairs outside. Can you ever have a lobby view with a woodsview room? Thank you for any help. :goodvibes

Hi. Can't help you on the woodsview. On the first page there is a map of room categories that will help. But keep in mind that the great majority of ctyd rooms are NOT adjacent to the lobby, but down long halls in the north and south wings. You can see by the map how few there are in the main lobby area. If you luck up on a lobby room it will be just that. We're hoping for the same in a few weeks. Oh, and we were booked for woods, but upgraded to ctyd because it was cheaper when a code came out.

There are woods view rooms that open up to the courtyard. You could request one (but not guaranteed). We have gotten woods rooms that opened to the lobby, standard rooms that opened up to the lobby, and even twice we got a courtyard room that opened up to the lobby. There are not that many courtyard rooms that open to the lobby, but they are there(you could request that too). Be careful in booking a courtyard room, because they can give you a courtyard villas room(we had one of thoses, and it was relaxing, but I would have been disappointed if was my first trip). They overlook the villas pool and common area.

Hi --

I read that refrigerators are available at no charge. Are they in all rooms automatically, or do you need to request them? If a request is needed, should this be done with the room reservation, or do you just ask at check-in?

TIA!

Yes the fridges are free. If there isn't one in your room, just ask Mousekeeping and they will get one to you.

It is my belief that refrigerators are automatic in Deluxes. There is a cabinet and door built specifically to house it.

Only 26 more days until we check in for our first stay at the Lodge! :cool1:

I'm starting to think about packing and I have it in my head that the rooms have irons and ironing boards. Did I actually read this or was I just assuming?? What about blowdryers??

I know there are irons, so I would assume there is an ironing board also, I just don't remember. There are small blowdryers, the kind mounted on the wall in hotels. HTH.

Yep irons and boards. Also regular blow dryers not just the little dinky ones. We will be there one day behind you!!! Woo hoo!!

We're checking in on the 9th as well! I can't wait! I just received an e-mail from Continental that our flight is leaving 30 minutes earlier which just adds to the excitement!

Thanks! I read all this info months ago and mentally filed it away. Now I'm starting to second guess myself.

Maybe we'll run into each other at the lodge! :cool1:

WL Team,

You people are good. Here's my question: I recently read on another site that WL will no longer accept faxes to the room assigner as of July 2006. It says your only option is to get your requests in through the CRO. is this true? Anyone know if their faxes were accepted and used by the WL room assigner since July 2006? I'm freaked out because I was a bit haphazard in my requests with the CRO, thinking I'd be able to send a strategically worded fax a few days prior to arrival.

I await your responses with great anticipation.

Thanks!!!
