I have been going to Vegas several times a year for about the past 10 years. There’s no better place for gambling, entertainment, and good food than on the Las Vegas Strip.
It has definitely increased in price since Covid and long gone are the days of a cheap buffet to draw you into the casino.
But one thing they do really well is provide perks for return visitors. I love to gamble but I’m not a big player by any means. I hate to lose more than I like to win, so I play very low limits and spend time at the tables. This strategy has earned me diamond status at Caesars every year, and those perks include free rooms without resort fees, along with some free meals and drinks. And a separate line for check in, the casino cage, and many restaurants.
I am under no illusions that I am paying for much of my “free” perks, but there is no way I would keep going back without these perks.
TLDR - Vegas is expensive but you can offset much of the cost if you play enough to earn status. I wish Disney had something similar to reward their most loyal patrons.
