OK, I have another " Sort of shady story for you that would get me yelled at on one of the "other areas" My next door neighbor called me last night. He wanted to know about DSL and cable. I spent a few minutes explaining to him the difference, and he told me that he tested my ISP, and they said no. I told him to call. He then asked me if I would help him with his wireless network card in his laptop. I told him sure, he can probably hook in to my network. I went over there, spent 45 minutes trying to figure out what another neighbor had done, gave his computer the passwords to get into my DSL (but not my network), and left it hooked up. He will be getting DSL (I don't think he likes accessing the internet from his dining room...What do you think, should I give him a refillable mug too?

Wallpaper didn't get started yesterday because a part of the wall still needs to be fixed. I think there was a big lapse in communication there. Not my problem - I just live here. It's supposed to happen today, though.

Look at all these great photos. It's nice to finally put faces with names. Thanks for sharing everyone.

Breakfast at Boma....I am SO THERE! I've only done dinner there and it was sooooooo good. Will do a 'real world' breakfast there in October......WHICHEVER week it works out to be (I'm hoping we'll at least have an 'overlap' weekend for the first week/second week groups.) Maybe RickinNYC and Joe can hold off for a couple of weeks and join us?
And does Rikku have exact dates yet? I just realized Oct is a three paycheck month for me....yeah, no credit card debt for this trip!

Deadheadbelle, I forgot to respond to your question! Rochester is an hour and a half from here. DH is there visiting customers at least once a week. Let me know where you are staying, and I'll ask Rob about good restaurants nearby. Don't worry about leaving the kids. It's good for them and DEFINITELY good for your marriage to have some time alone. Rob and I are lucky to have parents who will help out when we have business trips. Twice we've gone away for a week. One was a sales meeting in Stockholm and one was a sales meeting in Cancun!

I WISH I could go later in October, it's the absolute best month as far as I'm concerned. But unfortunately it's just not good for me this year due to work. October starts the single busiest time of year for the non-profit I work for and it lasts through January.

Get this, we were looking at our calendar for the year and in addition to WDW in later September/early October, Joe and I have the following:

1. mid May - Dallas
2. mid June - 20th high school reunion in northern Florida
3. early September - brother's wedding upstate NY
4. late September - WDW
5. mid November - friend's wedding in Puerto Rico

I've already tallied up about 16/17 days of vacatioin and I haven't even gone anywhere! Yeesh...

You don't see why? This is an example of why - this is us in Dec. At the last second, just as the person who took it was ready, I ducked down and made that face, like "Oops, I better duck or you may not be able to see the humongous castle in the background."

Ohanafamily, one more thing, you know what they say in the movies, don't work with kids or animals, they steal the spotlight? Well, that's exactly why I include my kids in all my pictures, so no one's looking at me!

This is me with Holly and Ella at Crystal Palace. I'm using Ella is a shield, so I'm just barely in the picture.

It's at the Maybe (sp?) Farm, a state landmark. Apparently the oldest in New York state or something. It's about 30 minutes outside of the Albany/Schenectady area, not far from where my folks and little brother live. Beautiful area, right in a valley along a river.

John (little bro) and his fiancee decided on that spot because we all went to a wedding there a couple of years ago and it was incredibly cheap. They're on a super tight budget so it's a good choice. The only thing is that they have to do all the maintenance and decorating themselves. I told my bro since that's the case, I absolutely refuse to let him and his friends take charge of the decorations. I HAVE to be there to insure that they had a "special eye" overseeing them. If you know what I mean.

On that note, his fiancee breathed a HUGE sigh of relief when she heard that.

BichonBarb, the reception is at the Woodcliff Lodge. Ever heard of it? My parents are going to watch the Monkeys, so I know they will be fine, & I know we'll have a good time, it's just kind of hard to imagine being away from them.
