You don't have to bring an ethernet cable as one is included in the room (it's actually in a bag in the closet). You need this only if you want to use the $9.95/day HSIA (High Speed Internet) available in the room.

But you are right, as long as you have some local access numbers for the LBV/Kissimmee area, just plug a phone cord into your laptop and the other in the room phone and you're off.

In December I saw some folks getting their Sushi 'to go' so I don't see why not.

If the temp gets below 55 they cancel the Luau show. Great for predicting the weather.

I posted a question about this the other day since my aunt and uncle (Stage 4 cancer ) had tickets for Friday night (yesterday now) and were concerned due to the predicted rain and cold temps. They called Wednesday to change the day and were told no more availability all week. They arrived yesterday afternoon, rain over, gorgeous blue sky, 50's...and the show was cancelled--BUT, they have ressies for later this week. So I am wondering if the nights they don't usually schedule the luau (Mon./Tues?) are then used if they have to reschedule? Kind of makes sense to have backup dates for an outdoor show. What was interesting was that they were told it was because it had "rained for 24" hours, not because of the cold. But I did see the post on AllEars about the cancellation after she texted me .

Have any of you Poly regulars visited the last week in September? How were the lovebugs by the pool? I just heard that the last week in Sept was the time for lovebugs, and I'm considering changing my dates to October. Any advice from those who have been there? Thanks!

We were there 2007 9/21-9/28 and I did not see even 1 love bug.

We were there for my birthday a couple of years ago... September 14th... and, there were lovebugs all over. Not being from Florida, I didn't know what they were and that they were only seasonal. Someone actually had to explain what they were... They even followed us on the boat from Poly to MK. But, they really weren't that much of a bother...

We went the last week of Sept./first week of Oct. in 2007 and there were lovebugs EVERYWHERE! We noticed them the most at bus stops and around the resort instead of the parks. They were pretty nasty, but didn't have a huge effect on our trip. We didn't really use the pool, so I can't help you there -- sorry!

When is the American Spring break?

American Spring/Easter break for college students can start as early as mid-March through to Easter. As johnsonet posted, for school-age children it is usually around Easter. Here it is the week before Easter.

In CA, Spring Break is generally the week before or the week after Easter, but some schools start taking Spring Break as early as March. The weeks surrounding Easter tend to be VERY crowded at WDW. On the plus side, the weather is pretty nice then.

Thank you You're right - there's nothing like it DD and I were talking this a.m. on the way to school about how we can't wait for the music, the beach, the rooms, Kona Cafe, etc.
