I have read that many people requests for prefered view and so forth via fax. Can we request possible upgrades via fax as well????? Hoping to have Consierge (=sp?) level if possible..... (trying not to be greedy, though....) Or is this fax request only for view preference, bank bed, and so forth????

I am very concerned to know if any one has heard from Betsy since this storm has hit?? She lives in Boynton Beach. i do not know if that area was hit or not. If you know she is OK please let us know. thanks guys. Betsy, I hope you and your family are OK.

Regarding faxed requests - they accepted ours. But I must say, I would NEVER be so bold as to ASK for a room upgrade. All I asked for in my requests were to have connecting rooms with my inlaws, with our room being a bunk bed room, and for the rooms to be nonsmoking rooms. That being said, we were given a 2-level upgrade from the standard view rooms that we had booked, to courtyard view rooms.

Everyone who replied to me re:Fax request, thank you very much!
Well, since we are 15 of us, I guess I will send a fax to make sure we have room close by, possibly same floor. Disney Rep said connecting rooms are requested basis and not guranteed. It won't hurt to try to send a fax. Regarding upgrades, just wish the best at the time of check in. I will kindly ask. I will let all you know how it goes. Can't hardly wait be there and it is my 1st WL experience and you all got me already soooooo excited about it.
I am most certain that I will think all of you when I get there and think all the good things you have taught me! Thanks again!

A friend of mine recently stayed at AKL and had booked a standard room. I volunteered to write a poem for them to see if they could get an upgrade. They got it (I know it's not as big of a deal there as there are so many Savanah rooms)! In exchange, when they ate at WC they asked at the front desk at the WL if they accept FAX requests and they told them "yes."

I've actually already requested the north wing and a upper floor if possible for our woods view room on our reservation for our upcoming trip, so I'm not sure if I'll actually send a FAX or not, but just wanted to give this info to the board! I can't wait to get there!!!

Hi everyone!

Our final mailing from Disney arrived this week.It contained our hotel voucher, and beautiful Tinkerbelle luggage tags

Quick question......
On our hotel voucher, it says:

Special Instructions
-------------------------
Inner CRTYRD view REQ

When making our reservations I had requested non-smoking,bunkbeds, and a inner courtyard view.

All 3 requests ARE listed on the original confirmation I received from Disney, but just not on the hotel voucher itself.

Do you think I should give WDTC a call just to make sure they have 3 requests still?

We're BAAAACK!!!!
Got more than we bargained for with that hurricane though!! Who would have ever thought that Disney would let resort guests enter the park for the half day free! While we didn't stay at WL this trip, we did have the opportunity to visit and eat at WCC...and boy did we have a great time!!! We had Bobby the KID who was totally outrageous!! The best time at WCC to date!!! It was wonderful to walk through the lobby!...it made me homesick though!
We did get to meet Marco and Laura...and enjoyed the Illuminations cruise!: They are such nice people!
Well, if anyone has any questions, ask away!

Oh darn guys! I wasn't actually planning on writing a report being we were there for 11 days! Maybe I will write a mini report! I did post a dining report though! We all see where my priority is...no pun intended!

I have to say that the CMs at Disney really handled the storm like troopers(no pun intended again)! They were clearly looking out for the safety of the guests and making sure everyone was fed and comfortable as well as safe! The Poly had a lock down at about 7:00PM with specific instructions to close all sliders, shades and windows, stay to the far side away from the glass doors and if you felt you were in danger, we were to all go in the bathroom! We were all given flaslights just incase! As we proceeded to watch Disney movies(all 5 of us on the bed), we heard the loudest roar and the sliders began to pound(as if someone was hitting them with a bat)! DH says, "I have got to see this" and proceeded to open the curtains and take pictures of the palm trees bending in half ! MEN! Before the storm, people were hoarding food in the concierge lounge though...as if it was the end of the world!
After 6 fabulous nights at Poly Concierge, we switched to HRH!...and what a major disappointment! Service was aweful! I posted a negative report on the Universal's board too!

Glad you and your famly arrived home safely, and that you had a great trip at WDW.

Laura and Marco should also be home soon, I tried to call them that Friday night over at the Lodge to make sure they were OK...but I couldn't get through because the telephone lines at WDW were maxed out...I did get through the next morning but per the front desk they had already checked-out. I hope that their cruise went well...I would rather ride out a storm at Wilderness Lodge then aboard any ship, Disney or not.

I'm off to read your dining report, I have the the same priority. I leave in a few weeks and haven't made any PS yet...I know I'm bad.

HI! to everybody!

We are on the way back to Italy (at an Internet connection in Miami Airport) after our long vacation.

We are safe after Charlie ... yes we were in the WL Friday 13th, the hurricane day.
The fallen trees were just in front of our balcony. Hopefully we should have pictures of the courtyard before and after Charlie, but we are sure that the tree should be up and well already.

The day after Charlie we drove to Port Canaveral (the streets were reasonably cleaned up) and embarked the Disney Magic.
The ship docked later than usual due to Charlie and departed late in the evening with almost one thousand of guests missing (Orlando airport was closed): lot of them were able to board in Key West.
BTW the cruise itinerary was changed due to a new possible hurricane (Earl) so we skipped Gran Cayman (and got Nassau instead).

After all a very excellent vacation (in spite of the hurricanes)!

And it was really nice to meet Beckie and Judie

Glad you two have now arrived home safely, (received your E-mail)

Quite a vacation first visit to the Wilderness Lodge, (visited with Humphrey) had breakfast with my DN's Blake & Bailey which is almost equal to surviving...a category 4 Hurricane, drove across a storm ravaged state, took a cruise. Then had a ten hour flight home...I'm tired just thinking about it all.

Can't wait to hear all the details....
