I am leaving today for my first stay ever at WL and my first visit to Disney since I was 10 and my DBF's first trip to Disney ever!!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for making my trip planning a blast!

This time tomorrow I will be waking up at WL!!!!!

Welcome back!! I'm loving those trip reports so far btw, good job!!

I just called CRO to aska few questions andadd a fridge request to my ressie.I'm not sure if the CM actually did that though, but she did say that all Deluxe resorts WILL have them in every room at no charge.But I wonder if they will be there when we are???
Hmmmm, if not I guess I can always request it at check-in right?

Did ya'll happen to have a fridge when you were there?

The deluxe hotels only supply a refrigerator for free when you stay concierge! Otherwise, the charge is $10/night! We did have a refrig at the Poly!

OH NO! I just called to make my ressies with the code and guess what? NO ROOMS FOR MY DATES! Any suggestion vets! I'm devastated!!!

But there is something new taking place. All Deluxes and Moderate rooms will now have refridgerators, and you will not be charged for them.
Disney is in the process of getting them all installed now, and should be finished within 5 weeks.
I forgot you were at the Poly this time and not WL , ACINDY.

I just hope they have WL completed by the time we get there

I hope they have fridges in by our trip too. (9/23 - 10/1) I called and had a fridge added to our reservation just in case. If the fridges aren't in all rooms yet I'll try to weasle our reserved one for free. Who knows.

Our time is set for 6am on the day we leave because thats just about the time we will leave our house for the airport.

I have 14 days until I visit the Lodge...Hoping the new fridges are installed by then. I'll be sure to post on the progress of adding them to the rooms.

My story could have ended as your did... Called this morning 7:00am for the BAT code was on hold for about an hour...had to give up to go to work...thought well that's it...saw the Florida Passholder code had been released so I called at 1:00pm when I got home from work, I was on the phone a total of 15 minutes...

Spoke with Bruce a wonderful CM, he said this morning was brutal, he was able to appy the Florida Passholder rate to my reservations for Wilderness lodge Dec 12-18...standard view $109.00 a night..with tax $121.53 (two rooms before discount $1953.48...two rooms after discount $972.32)

It's good to live in Florida... But back to your dilemma:

First if my calculations are correct you will be planning on arriving Nov 6 is this correct? I tried to add a few nights at the Lodge for Nov 5, and 6th the CM only had concierge...but if only one day is'nt available it would block your entire stay, could have been that Saturday night call and see if you can work around the Saturday Night the other nights may be available for your stay. (Have the CM check each night) Then do a split reservation stay at Lodge at rack rate, or try a different resort for the days you can't get at the Lodge. They also release more rooms into the pool for codes as people change their dates or don't send in their deposits.
So first get your reservation then work at getting the codes added.

Looks like we will be at WDW on some of the same dates.

Booked the WL with bunkbeds. There will be DH, DD17, DS16 and myself. Has anyone stayed in these rooms? What did you think of the rooms eg space, beds comfortable etc?

Would love it if there was a view to see the fireworks. Any suggestions for a good location?

Room request question.

I'm working through this whole thread (whew!), but I have a couple of questions, and it may take a couple more weeks to finish this thread.

1) I'm going to request: Inner Courtyard, bunkbeds, 4th/5th floor over Lobby. However, if no "Bear" rooms are available, I'd like to add an additional request so the whole thing would look like this: Inner Courtyard, bunkbeds, 4th/5th floor over Lobby. If Bear room not available, Inner Courtyard, bunkbeds, North Wing 4th/5th floor with good view of main pool.

My question is, is this request too long? Is it a bad idea to make secondary requests? I know there are only a few of those Bear Rooms, so I want to make sure my bases are covered.

2) Are the in room coffee pots those little dinky 4 cuppers, or are they a decent 10 cup size? We are going to bring our own coffee so this info would be handy.
