Oh No!!! Crisis....
I tried to do online check in and it kept giving me error messages. I finally called member services and they told me that during the computer system upgrade, some of the reservations didn't transfer properly and they had to "re-book" them by hand. She said I had a new confirmation number. Nice... should they not have sent me a new confirmation paper?
So she tells me, she can't see my whole reservation because mine is made with 2 nights on my own points and 3 nights on points I rented from another DVC member. She couldn't see the 2nd half. Odd.. the DVC member services CM could see it 2 weeks ago.
So I assumed all was well. She said that the system went back up 2 hours ago and I should have no trouble with online check in now. No luck. So I waited til later...and I had things to do. So later in the evening, I go to do online checkin and I can see BOTH parts of my reservation.... sounds good... right...??
The first part says... check in Nov 21st 2 nights... connected to check in Nov 23 2 nights!
WHOAAAAA ... 2 nights.... it should be 3!!!!! So I panic..
and I contacted the Disney reservations chat person... something new I guess... they told me to call central reservations. Which I did... but they can't see DVC reservations... even their highest manager couldn't help.
So tomorrow... I have to call member services. Hopefully.... its a glitch in the system and my reservation wasn't shortened one day... esp. since we have Friday night at the Pop. Hopefully I'm not resortless on Thursday night... Thanksgiving day!! My original confirmation paper with the original confirmation number has the CORRECT dates and information. I'm full of worry. And if that isn't bad enough.. my son never got his ME voucher. Called ME directly. They mailed it on the 9th of Nov.. but..... they addressed it to Myself, not to HIM. They put SIT instead of FIT for the name of the college. I guess that is in the state of Slorida instead of Florida.
she got the street address correct, but didn't put his box. So, his college mail center receives a piece of mail addressed to someone's mother with no box number and they're supposed to know where to put it?
They claimed that since the vacation is MY reservation, they couldn't put any other name on the ME mail. That's funny, last year when my MIL came with us, they sent her ME packet to her home address with HER name on it.. not mine! They can't do that in this instance???
Do they think the mail person is a mind reader? UGH!!! The ME man said his name is on the list though, so all he has to do is show up at the ME desk and show his picture ID and he'll be put on a bus to SSR.
At least the weather is looking good... a little cool maybe for swimming... but I see no rain so far....
I'll let you know what member services says when I call in a panic tomorrow.
