QOTD: There is no MVMCP during our week (Thanksgiving), which is good for me, because I wouldn't be going and then the MK would close early. As it is most of Thanksgiving week MK is suddenly open til midnight, 1am and 3 am on various nights.

On the gas thing.... for those who aren't old enough to remember... this is one of the many legacies of the Carter Administration and the gas crisis of the 70's. Lots of gas station attendants lost their jobs. Think of how many people could gets jobs now if they'd bring back the gas station attendant. Gas would be pumped, oil would be checked, tires wold be inflated, windshields would be clean! Ah..... as Louis said "what a wonderful world it would be"

On Sunday the 21st of Nov. I secured Via Napoli but they only had 8:30pm. That is kind of late... but then I just realized that we might miss Illuminations if we're inside there.... what to do?

Nope. It was between the party and PHs for our last night. We'll be going to AK that morning, so I wanted something to do that night. The military tickets come with either PH or WP, so we're going with PH and saving money. We'll save the party for later.

awww I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I am sure she will be visiting your son. Ask him if he sees her. My nephew was 1 and 2 when my parents passed, and saw my mother and father regularly until he was about 7. He told us so many amazing things that we knew he was seeing them and not "making it up". Hugs and prayers for your family.

QOTD: We are doing MVMCP on the 19th. We actually added a day so we could do it because we are there Thanksgiving week too. We are driving and leaving the 18th right after school is out. Get there in the morning and hopefully get a room not too late so that we can get a nap! This will be our 3rd time, can't wait!

I just wanted to thank you all for the kind words of support. This is affecting me a little more profoundly than I thought it would, possibly because there was no warning. There are so many feelings stirred up right now - she had sent my son a new train calendar earlier in the week, and I was going to have him call her to thank her yesterday...I'm just sad.

I'm also feeling a lot of guilt right now, because we're supposed to be leaving Thursday night. I can't help but try to determine how this will affect our plans, and then I feel horrible for even entertaining those thoughts. Sigh. I don't think there's anything to be done today, so I'll just focus on my son and Halloween.

Thanks again, everyone. It means a lot to me that there's a place I can come to to get a little of this out.
