I make a colored index card for each day. I list our ADR#'s, parade times, park hours, etc. Anything we might want to remember that day. Then I take them with me to the parks. :thumbsup2 Last year I even made a card of snacks I wanted to try in each park. It made me remember to try a very yummy pretzel in MK. :goodvibes

I do the same thing, it's so much fun planning, isn't it? My dear father in law used to do the file cards back in the 80's and we all used to mock him....little did I know. ;) I also list a couple of CS restaurant options for each day (having printed out menus that we look over the night before) so none of us stand there deciding and holding up the line.

I got the free dining PIN email earlier today. It includes my dates that were blocked out for FD. But for us for this trip the 40% off PIN is a better deal.

I too recieved the FD email yesterday but unless we were to downgrade resorts the 40% we have now is better even with 4 Adults, DH won't stay at a value and besides we would need to book 2 rooms or else be tripping over each other the whole reason we booked a villa in the first place , so I guess no FD for us either

I like this idea, right now I have everything listed on a calendar like spread sheet but that is not practical for taking to the parks each day, the index card tip is great!

I just noticed...4 months today! :cheer2:

Knee surgery this Friday. I wasn't really too worried when I found out I would have to get this done, but now that it's coming down to the wire... :scared1:

Best of luck with the knee surgury on Friday

I am thinking of downgrading to a moderate.... it will save us over $1000 to do so.... even with our daughters CP discounts.... not sure... I am on hold right now with them... we don't spend a lot of time in the room so I am not stressing about that... for us it is more a place to sleep... we spend so much more time in the parks

Best wishes to all of those with dr. appointments and upcoming surgeries. My DH needs to have his umbilical hernia redone. He keeps putting it off because the surgeon said it could wait.:headache: To my DH that means forever. I may just make the appointment myself.:rolleyes1

QOTD: What magical moments have you or maybe a child experienced while there at WDW?
In 1993, we were Grand Marshals in the MK parade. It was a lot of fun and surreal at the same time.

When my daughter was 4, we had breakfast at CRT. My DD loved Snow White at the time and Gracie loved meeting her. 45 minutes later as we were leaving, Snow White called Gracie by name and told her to have a magical day. My dd was beaming and said, "she knows my name!"

Also at CRT one year, my DS3 had his head covered with lipstick from all of the princesses. He was a towhead and the lipstick really popped. DS8 still loves women!

Hey girls! Got my laptop back yesterday!!!!
Thanks for the prayers and encouragement about ds being at camp...got an email yesterday afternoon that they had arrived safely and were already having a good time....hope that included my kid!!! LOL
Summerlady~ my dh (and Shelly's) had a miniscus tear repaired in Jan...he did great...4 months is plenty of time!! Just don't overdo, but make sure you do what they tell you--I am not sure how extensive yours is...Mikes was minimal...

Summerlady - good luck with your surgery tomorrow! :wizard: We will be thinking of you. As Shawna said - my DH had his meniscus repaired in January too. He is doing very well! Just go to your PT and you'll be up and running before November!!

Well I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one with Itineraries, ADR #'s, and menus printed out!! :cool1: I'm a planner - that's for sure!! :thumbsup2

Question of the Day ~

If you could change something at Disney what would it be?

Mine would be that they would sell Pepsi products instead of Coke. I need my Mtn. Dew!!! :hyper:

Hmmm...yeah, I would LOVE to be able to get a Dr.Pepper every now and again...and as no one there really knows how to make SWEET TEA, I drink more water than I care to while there!!! After a while, you just get sick of water...I hate coke, and sprite is for when you have a virus!!!! LOL!!!
Also...this is being serious now,..I wish they would make more family suites, or a level of Deluxe that is reeeaaaally deluxe if we are gonna be out that kind of money. We have 3 kids so our options are limited...might as well do one deluxe room as 2 adjoining ones...at least we are in close proximity to the parks with deluxe rooms. Good question!!!

I'm hoping mine is minimal! If we weren't going to WDW in November I'd have probably put this off for as long as possible. :)

Thanks so much. :)

Okay just got off the phone and we did make the change.... it seems I was the only one in the house excited about staying at the Yacth Club so it didn't really matter... my DD says she love POR so thats where we went... and it reduced the cost of the trip by $1100.... so I guess I am okay with that!!!!!

I would change the way the Dining Plan is offered, so that you did not have to purchase it for every person in your room, and also not for the entire length of stay , would be nice if we could purchase it just for DH and myself and just for part of our days in case we were going to be offsite for a day or two during our stay.

Congrats Wendy ~ that's a lot of money saved!! And POR is wonderful! :goodvibes

I have to try not to think of the money we could save by switching to a moderate! It's hard not to think about it, especially when we would be perfectly happy to go back to CBR or POR. BUT - I have wanted to try a deluxe forever and always back out, so this time I am doing it!!!

Oh yes, the DDP. Lots of changes could be made there. Number one being that a tiny 10 year old picky eater should not be charged as an adult!!!
