I'd love to join in too! We are going to be there Nov. 14 - 20 and trying out our first moderate resort - CBR. We can't wait! Originally, we were supposed to go in May this year, but had to cancel that when I changed jobs a couple months before that and had to start over with no vacation. Luckily, I love my new job so it was worth it! So now we'll be down in November getting to see the Christmas decorations for the first time. And even better? Our DD will celebrate her 10th birthday while we're down there! MVMCP is scheduled for the same day as her birthday so we'll be there celebrating!

Congrats on the new job! CBR is wonderful and I'm sure you will enjoy WDW in November.

It looks like my dates aren't included. Not sure why, we got FD the same week last year. It doesn't matter though, I had the 40% off PIN and it saves us more than FD would anyway.

Been out of pocket...laptop is in the shop...so I have to sneak time to get here on hubbys!!!! Well..QOTD...answer is in my siggie!! But:
offsite, then All star music, Poly, Cont, GF, WL(one night!!) and the BC! Hope you all had a great 4th of July...yippee to all of you who hit the 4month mark yesterday, or any day this week!!!

Yep, free dining blocked for us too. I even called just in case, and she said they're not offering it those weeks based on their current booking levels. So no incentive for those of us who chose to plan ahead for our vacations.

I guess I'll discuss w/ DH whether or not we want to scrap everything and change our dates, but given that the ADRs are done, MVMCP tickets are bought, and most importantly that we're actually there ON DD's BIRTHDAY (which she already knows about) I have a feeling we'll stay put.

Cute story though: last week she comes to me and says "Mama, I wanna watch the movie about my birthday!" (The free planning DVD.) It was the first time she's asked to watch it, and was soo excited the whole time!

I am booked with a 40% off pin too so no biggie here either but perhaps some ADR's for the more popular places will open up now if people start switching dates to take advantage of FD since I have read many had said about making ADR's in anticipaton of FD coming out.

Yeah, all that was going on last year during our week, except for the F&W festival. And it wasn't busy. So hopefully the F&W being extended a week isn't going to bring in tons of people. And like you said - the activities are pretty wide spread, therefore hopefully spreading out the crowds! Last year walking through the parks wasn't crowded, but wasn't exactly empty either. There were a good amount of people everywhere, but the wait times were never bad. Which was so nice!

BTW - We did see HUGE CROWDS one day!! We went to DTD on Saturday the 14th, which happened to be the Festival of the Masters (we didn't know it). Talk about wall to wall people. It was crazy!!! But fun! I'll have to see if I can find a picture of the crowds, I've never seen anything like it at DTD before!

Our goal is to stay at every resort atleast once as a family. We think that would be kinda neat to do.

I agree that is a fun thing to try and accomplish

, but once stayed at the Disney Institute--it was amazing!

Oh I remember that....we went to the Spa there back in '98 and my sister took some classes there on a trip once too

Thank You ladies! I will be back to update ASAP. I imagine it will be pretty soon. I am currently only scheduled for out patient for a partial hysterectomy. But if something goes wrong -and with my luck it will- they will have to admit me for a few days. My BP hasn't been cooperating, so they may end up keeping me anyways. Hopefully not. But considering I have never in my life had high blood pressure until last week, who knows what will happen.

We always go to DTD one day or night and DS expressed wanting to go during the Festival so I have scheduled it for Fri Morning on the 12th , hopefully the locals will wait until Saturday this year too
All I want to do is go up in the balloon they have there, it was not running yet last year when we visited in March and have lunch at Fultons and I will be happy
Would love to see the pic of the crowds last year, you might just scare me
